you sound like a broken record. how did they make it so "people that suck can win"? because there is ONE wallride type spot? Despite everything else still consisting of rails, stairs, ledges etc.? All they really did was try to make it look more like a real spot. How many threads of you arguing over whether good people have fun or not do we really need...shit's getting old.
in regards to the set up, i like it, it's kinda cheesy but neat, looks better than street league anyway.

last year it was 45 seconds run, or until you fell twice. Everyone pretty much got 6 runs.

I'd say the way they made it this year is just an overall improvement- for everyone skating it, who can complain about a park that has a better flow to it? it is gay that they made specific references to those guys though, because they still will get killed, i hadn't read that bit before.

I'm not complaining, I'm just pointing out how every time something is "improved" it's so the "core" dudes can have a better chance. To me, that's lame. They should just tell the "core" dudes to get better at skateboarding.

That was only the first year. They can skate any contest that monster/dc sponsors, on espn, or small untelevised contests. Basically, any contest that's not maloof, or dew tour.

That park was 100% more interesting and unpredictable to watch than any Street League thus far. My mind was blown on numerous occasions. Was Decenzo the only one to step it up to the bump to rail on the wall? He had that tailslide every try.

at this point nyjah needs to just put out a long web clip with some raw street skating - obviously he has fans, obviously he is really good - but i really get jaded on skaters who appear to only skate contests, and spend all their time training to win contests. if thats the type of shit that gets you psyched then so be it - im not gonna tell you that you arent a skater or arents stoked about skating - but to me its just boring and seems to take the spirit out of what skating to me is all about.
that being said, ive always watched the x-games. i was psyched on the very first x-games.. fuckin biker sherlock man haha.. but i have been psyched on it because its my favorite pros on tv skating, which back in the mid/late 90s was really weird to see - its still cool to see i think. but usually your favorite pro is just out there dorking around having fun with it -- chris cole seems to do that and still wins all the time. anyway - nyjah is having fun right now with it because he is winning. remember that like 2 year period where he cried whenever he came in second in everything? just lame is all it is. im glad he finally figured it out though. good for him

a small part of me feels like a tv producer told these few self cheer'ers that it makes them more likable and recognizable to mainstream media. the whole thing just feels fake and forced, but maybe cause I feel so strongly that it has no place in skateboarding.?
