skating or not he died to me after the carter 2.
as much as some people hate it i liked the carter 3 album, i can still listen to the whole thing w/o skipping anything.
carter 4 was whatever, that nigga wayne fell off somethin serious. the dedication2 & drought3 wayne was fucking ill, now his flows so simplified & watered down it just gets boring. white america thinks just about every half-assed punchline he says brilliant & is probably buying a majority of his albums so i guess that explains that.

"Are you Tatted Everywhere?" Wayne
"NO, are YOU tatted everywhere" Antwaun
But seriously, I'm not a big fan of his music (I'm not saying it's bad but it's just not for me) but this seemed kind of real. He seems like he's more down to Earth than what his stage persona is.
-
He's got his goons dressed up in 5boro clothes, hahahaha. I'm stoked he's giving them so much attention though. Zoo York can take their final nosedive now

this guy is just as useless as a mini ramp surrounded by glass doors.
-
i sort of figured alex m-i-d-l-e-r was some figment of his imagination. this kid is actually really good. takes an extra push and has a good trick selection. no comply tailslide into the ditch was tight. i guess he is flow for Real?

True Story

cant believe i listened to the whole thing, im sorry but a black mans logic always just circumvents and tries to generalize the world too much. he says he didnt start skating cause it was cool, then 7 mins later he said he started cause he saw a 12 year old killing it and though it was mad cool, i can understand where hes getting at, but hes telling people not to do the same shit hes doing, other than his reasons being that he "goes hard" and "i got my own reasons", and "look up to heroes"

lol, you better watch yaself. not sure if you meant it that way but uh...dont be a duffell.
& as far as the carter 3 album i can see why some wouldnt like it. it did have that mainstream edge to it, but it was a nice balance between mainstream & "not mainstream". now hes going too mainstream, with a wannabe hood persona at the same time. i used to be a die-hard wayne fan too, in his prime he was definitely the best rapper out, but now hes sorta washed up. still can bang out a great track at times, but his content is ass now. he doesnt make "songs" anymore. its either random punchlines over a hot beat or some cheesy rock/ r&b shit.
anyway its cool that he has a legit passion for skateboarding, and is most likely better than alot of these niggas on slap lol
-
dude's the shit. he does what he wants and doesn't give a fuck. i like his music, too.
-
This shit is tight.
-
Meh Lil Wayne is the brittney spears of rap. He shot himself in the stomach too.
-
mmmmmm dat lean script
-
I was starting to type why cant you skip vimeo I just wanted to see the part about skateboarding this is fucking dumb. But started watching and god damn that was the best thing I have ever seen lil wayne come out with. Inspirational and to the heart.

I was just thinking today that Lil Wayne's skateboarding enthusiasm is very similar to him picking up the electric guitar and them suddenly wanting to make a rock album. Interesting to see what's next.
-
Wayne is one of the best dudes out there. Complete lunatic with some good qualities in there

I've never really listened to him before, but this vid has me stoked just like all the other little clips I've seen of him out skating after he's just performed gigs... that's fucking dope.
Also, he mentioned all those cats at Canal street skating... the only spot I can think of that would hold the attention of a big crew of people like that is not far from Canal... closer to the Superdome, this spot called the Pancakes (from a friend's Flickr):

^ Sick spot, super fun, and that's just two stacks, there are a few more. Little harder than they look because they have slight domed tops, so you pop when pointing down and land going up.
...sluggers, I'm pretty sure he said he quit drinking that shit? Anyway, syrup/drank is stupid, but the fact is that shit was EVERYWHERE around here. It became so big that now they make bottled beverages that supposedly emulate the effects a little (but not really, it's just punch with melatonin in it).

That drink, called Drank, is actually pretty good tasting. After hearing so much about it I had to try it. It tastes like Welch's grape soda, but whatever chemical they put in it, melatonin?, just makes you feel like you need to take a nap after drinking one.

Can't tell if you're trying to pass him off as the real Ghost....
His twitter is actually as funny-sometimes, funnier- than his website (@bigghostfase). And the true and living Ghostface follows me on twitter so nyah-nyah niggas!8)
I don't care if weezy skates, the more the merryer. But whenever he tries to speak the slang I physically cringe. I hate it when he tries to pull off 'gnarly'.

Anyone else notice his credit card number?

.
What he was refering to is all the younger skaters in new Orleans hang out at various spots on Canal street skating flatground and just chilling and stuff. Theres also a building on Canal and Rampart that got looted during Katrina and never re opened that has a Black marble ledge that where the window used to come down too, since the buildings closed it's pretty bust free. Other than that they hang out at the wallrides by the ferry terminal and art the insectasaruim cuz theres super good flatground and always some junk laying around to do tricks over.
It's really cool scene cuz it's about as similar to a 90s urban plaza hang out lifestyle as you can probably do in this day and age.
Grim if you come here or go to Urban 9 pick up a video called Melon summer this kid Patrick did that documents that whole scene it's a really rad video.

^
Ah, I brain farted about the ferry... that whole Imax/Riverwalk area is fun as shit! I still wanna 50-50 down that metal divider/bump thing going down the mesh of the ramp... my record is about halfway before getting cheese-grated, haha!
I'll snag that vid over at Reno's after work tomorrow since Urban's next to the office... thanks for the heads up man!

lil wayne is so upriver.
