so i got these half cabs from a 2nd hand clothing store for $20 in really good condition in my size so i picked them up. the only thing i dont like is the graphic on the side part sole of the shoe i was wondering if any one has tips on how to get rid of it? i tried dabing some paint thinner but that didnt work. any thing else that can get it off?

try sand paper? I think that shit is on there pretty good. Otherwise, spray paint.

Opened thread, saw shoes, thought "wow, that guy fucked those shoes up", then realized that's how they actually look.
I'm thinking sandpaper and/or spray paint's the way to go here, too.. i'd say white-out, but it's probably just gonna flake off.

bleach? i've never bleached shoes but i've seen people do it on the suede part very successfully. one of my buddies bleached some black blazers and they came out slightly off-white, looked sick. i digress, i think bleach would work nice tho, definitely a hell of a lot better than whiteout. although sharpie is a good second option

yeah im gonna try sandpaper on the vulcanized part...as for the black part on the shoes im gonna spray paint that shit black..just tape off the grey suede and paint the panels black. thanks for the info

use a sharpie if the suede is dark enough itll cover it just fine

its not the suede that bugs me..its the stupid graphic on the side of the vulc sole that irritates me... the sand paper worked but it seems very tedious to do... i covered the multi colored pattern on the black parts with black paint.

I bought the off white pair in the background from ebay, they looked kinda horrible but were going sooper cheap. did notice a lot of the trendy sneaker kids looking at them whenever in the city, so some people obviously liked it...
they skated really bad though. have fun with the corns after they break in

Sanding it off will work for sure. I've done it on a pair. I just used an old piece of grip tape and gave it hell. Takes a while and your hands will be dead, but it comes off for sure.

When I was in China we went to the shopping area of Shanghi where they have all the bootleg gear. They had tons of unofficial "collabos." The various shoe factories, which mostly all make several brands, just take all the leftover pieces (soles, uppers, etc) and mash them together and sell them for cheap. It was funny to see stuff like a sole tech upper on a circa sole, or a Nike/Reebok mash up.

How do you think pulling the padding out of the tongues of the 76 will be? I hate puffy tongues and it worked fine on the pairs of AV3s I had, but for some reason I think slimming out the tongues of the 76 and Rookie will make them look/feel weird.
