Title: Gamecube
Post by: frisco on May 05, 2012, 04:32:47 PM
I hit up a flea market recently and picked up a Gamecube for 20$. I mainly got it for the Rogue Squadron franchise, which is on neither the Xbox or PS3

My buddy leant me some sick games, Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2, Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda Windwaker, Smash Bros and Ultimate HULK

Today I went back to the flea market and found Ultimate Spiderman, Jedi Academy Outcast for 20$

and my favourite

Any others I should look out for? Down to try any type of game

Super Smash Bros Melee is the sickest. The only other game I played when I had a gamecube was Disney Extreme Skate Adventure. Don't get it.

CUSTOM ROBO! totally forgot about it when first saw this thread but its definitely one of the best games on gamecube. good RPG story, bot customization, and the battles themselves are fun & addicting.

SSBM changed my life.

I used to subscribe to Nintendo Power and all of these game titles are bringing back memories. I never bought any games though since I never had money as a kid. Maybe I'll hit up Amazon now.

Animal Crossing. Yes. Kinda a low point when you play at 2am just to talk to Animals. Especially the girl neighbor.

fuck Tom Nook

Played AC with the wife (GF back then) for fucking months, we even have a special whistle in the same 'tune' as when you dig up a fossil which we use if we're in a big store and can't find each other or the kids

I've never really fancied trying the newer versions, perhaps I should revisit

GC had some fucking gems

Pikmin
Wind Waker
Eternal Darkness
Animal Crossing
Metroid Prime

If I see one cheap I'm going to probably grab one

I bet they're doing terrible, fucking weeds and garbage everywhere. You'd be picking that shit up forever, or talk to Mr. Resetti, the choice is yours.

Mario Kart double dash was pretty fucking awesome also Luigi's Mansion.

My wife and I were also heavy into Animal Crossing until we started having kids.  I printed out the entire faq on gamefaqs and had so many sets of furniture and shit.

I might get back into the wii version because of you guys.  Damn it.

Jedi Outcast was sick. I murdered Dessan first try, never been so focused on a boss fight.

Also, you should get Starfox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet.
It's Rare's last exclusive Nintendo title and was originally intended to be it's own thing and not Starfox related. They just added some space missions because starfox.
Still a really good action adventure and it surprises me it hasn't been mentioned so far.
