I really mean it when I say Shawn is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He tolerates people that are really annoying (I am thinking of someone in particular - I hope they don't read slap) and only has positive things to say. He runs a non-profit after school program and a skateboard club (where he regularly talks other pros to come out and skate with the kids - even Gerwer!). Dude has done more for skateboarding in the last year than most do their whole life. He is not a "whack pro", he is a humble and kind dude living his version of the skate dream. He is also damn good at the brand of skating he does.

No one sticks out as the wackest, there's a bunch. Pat Channita used to say "Buy my board" in multiple interviews he had back when I was a teenager, I always thought that was lame. I didn't know what he was like, maybe he's nice, but he came off as arrogant/cocky/corny. Prodding self-promotion has never been fun. He had some great ads though, like a nollie heel over a rail.
It's like Julien Stranger said, "What you do off the skateboard is as important as what you do on the skateboard" ... Most sponsored skaters hopefully know that.
