they're all fantastic, but none of them are better than '36 chambers'.

RZA's solo albums never, ever reach the quality of three things:
1. The hype
2. His production and beats are a million times better then his verses
3. The verses he does when with the group always beat out the shit he does on his solo albums (Enter the 36 Chambers and the first Gravediggaz are prime examples)
And as for GZA being dorky. Sure of course, it's fucking Wu-Tang. Ninjas and comic books. But if you are thinking GZA is nerdier than RZA, go back and check out "Bobby Digital" again
well said. RZA's production on Wu-related albums is fantastic, and in fact, what made 36 Chambers and many other solo Wu albums so incredible was the fact that RZA was such a part of the crew and knew exactly what the rappers wanted to achieve. the sort of producer-artist relationship he has with the wu-tang is hard to find elsewhere in music.
that said, as hate said, his verses aren't as good as dudes like GZA, Ghostface, Raekwon etc.

GZA's newer albums should get some credit too. legend of the liquid swords was amazing and so was grandmasters with DJ Muggs. It just goes to show that the Genius doesn't need RZA's backing to make a sick album.

i feel what you guys are saying about rza's verses in other songs being better than the ones on his own album, so i'm gonna throw INS in the same boat. i get psyched to hear him on anything other than his own albums.

Rza's verse on the new Method man CD is the best I've heard in years.

the first bob digi was amazing!! some of my favorite wu-related albums are: killabees-the swarm, only built for cuban linx, and the first killa priest album.

I dunno...after the top 3 they all kinda just feel the same to me. I usually tend towards the oldest ones, which are my 4 and 5.
