kind of a dumb question, but does anyone know what the first skate video released on dvd was?
-
for some reason i'm thinking sight unseen, but i'm probably wrong.
-
the storm
-
first one i remember was menikmati off the top of my head, no idea really though. i think transworld and the storm were both reissues that came out after the vhs (as was menikmati now i think about it)
-
first video straight to dvd was the dc video i think. the storm was the first skate dvd but was backed by vhs as well
-
nah, dc video was in 2003, im pretty sure there was some stuff before that ...
first dvd i remember getting is menikmati ...
-
you sure? i remember wanting the dc video but that meant i would have to go out and buy another dvd adapter thing for my xbox because the one i previously had got lost. i didn't really want to do it so i wanted the vhs and when i found out they weren't making on vhs i thought it was really really weird
-
im gonna say some transworld video, maybe menikmati
-
you're all wrong.
it was "The End"
-
you're all wrong.
it was "The End"
And I made the mistake of buying it. I can't find my VHS copy for the life of me...
-
maybe the END yeah, or destroying america haha

No the DvD didn't come out until at least 6 months later, because I made the mistake of buying both of them. I'm pretty sure Menikmati came out before the end on dvd.

I remember people were up in arms that Really Sorry was only on DVD back on the old forums...
-
the end also came out much later after the vhs, its got all the lame music changes BUT does have old birdhouse video parts as extras
-
sight unseen is probably the first video to be backed by a dvd shortly after the video was released. Strangely enough there is only a crappy rip online of the video, not a proper one, while dvd was at hand. I bought a dvd player around the time of free your mind, and in between the two videos only a handful of videos were available on dvd. I still prefer the VHS above the dvd.
-
I know Globe Opinion came out on DVD pretty early on...Somebody gave it to me and I didnt even have a dvd player yet.
