one of my favorite skaters. I've had pairs on and off since 2009 and they are a great shoe. one of my favorite nikes ever. not just the sb ones but all of them.

He said how puffy padded shoes give more protection but less boardfeel, while his shoes give you the best boardfeel so you "land tricks more often," so no need for padding. I've skated his shoe, didn't land tricks more often, but did get hurt more often. When your board lands on your toes in a janoski... :'(

Stefan is dope, just not a fan of his shoe.

Agree, i got the urge to try them on one day, and i really didn't like how much the shoe was with it lacking sole padding, not a fan of heel bruising, plus i just cant wear a shoe everyone outside of skating wears for fashoin trends

I'd love to know how much he has made off that shoe.

Reckon PROD gets off it that nobody rocks his shoe?

I had one pair that I found at a thrift shop for $5. They definitely weren't bad, but if I'm going to get a thin vulc from nike I vastly prefer the bruin.

Why did he get a footnotes over say a Reynolds. He only made one shoe and he didn't even design it he just had his hand on telling them what he liked. I'm sure if we had the opportunity to design a shoe a lot of people would be making a janoski

Didn't you use to rock blazers all the time?

Blazers were up there in the same category of Janoksi's, when everyone used to rock them daily. It was either you wore the blazer SB or Janoski.

But now, I don't see many people skate blazers anymore. Maybe it's the lack of releases the past couple years.

I remember 7 years ago that everyone was hyped up on his shoe and it was the shit. Now everyone's hating on it now because it's practically on every non-skate stores especially sporting goods stores. Yeah he seemed like he sell-out but the man had to make his money.

The only sad part about the shoe is that for anyone that doesn't skate, Well they just don't have a clue or an idea who Stefan really is haha!

not in my area.  never saw anyone else with them.  i probably scared anyone away from getting them because when you're 30 pairs deep, people get scared.  I'd love another pair, some days I miss them.

and it's definitely from them scaling back the amount of SB Hi's, and fuck that LR bullshit

I don't think they make those LR blazers anymore. Good thing.

They still drop blazers once in a while, in the classic black/white color only. Local shop hasn't had a re-fill in those in a long time.

Only place I see that still sells blazers for cheap is like CCS, Nike.com and other online stores. Mostly just the Premium SE ones.

What about getting some regular nike blazers? There isn't much difference in the looks and they perform like sb's. You can easily find some cheap ones on the internet.

Did you see the original Janoski? It became the Omar. He was adamant in creating a shoe that he actually wanted and wouldn't put his name on anything otherwise. That's why he left Etnies before his shoe released. I don't remember the name but it was basically a vulc Reynolds.

It's not his fault he designed a versatile and efficient shoe. Blame the dipshits who camp in front of Footlocker for buying fucking canvas print shoes at "premium" pricing. I'm bummed that it led to shittier quality. My 4 year old Janos hold up wayyy better than the ones I just bought last month.

I think Factions were suppose to be his pro model on Etnies.

This. Also the factions were a great shoe. Back in 07-08 I kept going back and forth from factions to the francis. Two of my favorite shoes.

I skated quite a few pairs of these. Really good shoes, except for sometimes the sole would come unglued, as with any Sole Tech vulc shoe from that time.
