The style of tattoos he has have been "trendy" for about the last 60 years. Most people who get them just like the way tattoos look on the body, its not meant to impress you or to get your attention you fukin buster.

Growing up I remember in the 90s only bikers and convicts got heavily tatted, a neck tat meant no type of promising business career was coming your way. Now soccer moms are getting full back pieces and the stigma attached to them has changed.
Whether it's good or not is probably personal taste, most of my friends have funny ones that seem much less pretentious than paying thousands of dollars to look hip over night (although in 20 years having a topless chyna giving head to elmer fudd might not be as desirable)
To each their own, that mini part of Gilbert was great, quick powerful ollies are always entertaining.

I wish more companies would take the route Gilbert's sponsors did by giving him the freedom to live wherever he pleased instead of So Cal. It makes footage so much more interesting and there's actually some flavour to it.
