WELCOME TO THE FAMILY DENNIS DURRANT on Vimeo (http://vimeo.com/113976160)
so good.
-
I'm going to put aside an qualms I have with Element and just be thankful he's hooked up with a stable company. Finally! I hope he's getting paid well.
-
oh good
-
Element Australia. Good for him. Hopefully it works out better than it did for Billy Rohan.
-
Bad welcome part, Durrant can can much better than that.
-
Took me a little while to figure out why the back smith was in slow-mo and last trick… it's tough to see the yellow bumps before the stairs in the footage.
-
Damn, he's smooth.

I feel like I have to do that a lot with Element cause they have so many good skaters on their team. I'll admit, I liked that Future Nature video quite a bit. I think Nick Garcia has amazing style, and I think both Madars Apse and Evan Smith are very stylish and unique skaters.
Yeah, happy for Dennis Durant! He deserves it!

great ... now he's gunna end up like corbin and bjorn :'(

Element has some serious flaws, but they do have some positives one being the current team (lots of sick young kids like Evan Smith, Nick Garcia and Julian Davidson and they have Apples) and they also take care of a decent amount of international skaters with their local teams.

He's got one of the most eye pleasing styles in the business.
-
dude is so chill when he skates. he deserves better
-
THANK GOD! This is good news. His it's time part is still so good
-
His style is so damn good. It's too bad skate mental never worked out for him, does anybody remember why he was on there for only such a short time?
-
Best style out there

What happened with Rohan?
I recall him having a pro model, but Element didn't have him as an official team member. Or something goofy like that.

I remember not being stoked at all on him - but after watching this welcome part, I thought I had to go back and revisit it

holy shit I was stupid!

Nothing more welcoming than a "to the family" and "team X country Y" combo.
-
Him, Madars, Zweijin, Garcia, Julian and Evan should just get their own team on Element, maybe call it Underworld, then make a video 8)
-
About three or four years back I was getting ready to go to bed and a friend that doesn't skate texted me from a bar in SF and just said " I'm drinking with some guy that owns a company called Skate Mental" I replied and told him to tell him to turn Dennis Durrant pro. About 5-10 minutes later, my friend responded saying that the guy he was drinking with doubts that I even skated so I sent him a picture of my vhs copy of "Nervous Breakdown" clenched in my buttcheeks. I never got a response back, and forgot to ask him about it when I saw him around xmas this year.

Cmon this was easily the worst durrant part, its ok to tell the truth
-
An 1 minute welcome clip, isnt a (full) part...
-
I really don't know why things fell thru with him and sponsor (minus popwar) nor do I care. I am actually stoked for him on Element. People can hate all they want, but they treat their riders pretty good with cash and Durrant deserves to get paid

Best style out there

i guess the song is a hit or miss but damn the skating in that part is phenomenal

Don't stress... He's filming for something else, and order in the world will once again be restored.
Seeing him skate flat ground is more enjoyable than some (or most) people doing easkate shit on ledges and rails...
Any Durrant footage is good footage
