I've watched this part 10 times more than any other part in the video.
Joslin is amazing.
-
Without a doubt the gnarliest skating I've ever seen.
-
Jesus that was insane!
Fuck Sheckler - get this kid at El Toro
I'm sure they're just holding out for Sheckler to make something, than Joslin will obviously do something fucking gnarly
-
wut
-
Did this with a torn ACL?! Ballistic.
Full Definition of BALLISTICS
1
a : the science of the motion of projectiles in flight
b : the flight characteristics of a projectile
2
a : the study of the processes within a firearm as it is fired
b : the firing characteristics of a firearm or cartridge

Insane as this part is, it really is boring. He kind of reminds me of a less stylish Willow, but I enjoy Willow's skating more.
-
Figured every part in this video would be AT LEAST this good.
Instead I found myself bored thinking about old darkstar commercials....
-
wild.. diggin the heart tune too!
-
Boring Meth style
-
For some reason it's going hellaslow for me, any other links?
I like how they used that fuck buttons track tho 8)
-
HE MOST DEF WORKED HARD, BUT THAT SHIT WAS BORING AS FUCK TO ME..
IF YOU ADDED UP ALL THE STEPS HE JUMPED DOWN I THINK THINK SOME OF US HAVE EVEN WALKED UP THAT MANY IN REGULAR LIFE
BUT HE DAMN SURE WORKED HARD SO GOOD ON HIM
-
So much stuff I've never seen anybody do that it actually bored me. I also realized that this is probably the most insane part ever, but for some reason I don't feel impressed? I don't get it.

Its because you probably never tried tricks down some big shit.
-
It looks like he's trying to suck his own dick every time he lands.
-
I kind of like his fucked up style. He's just going for it 100% and it shows. I think what made this part pretty interesting is that he had a pretty diverse trick selection even if he was doing a lot of gaps and stairs. It wasn't just kickflip, frontside or backside flip, 360 flip over and over.
-
That big ass back bigspin looked incredible. Whole part was unexpectedly exciting to watch actually.

Agreed shit was gnarly and I like that he may not look as graceful as others. Of course the other posters found it boring typical slap response
-
That was incredible
-
nollie backside 360 heelflip so nice
-
The dude definitely put in a lot of work for this part. I'm diggin it.

Rad Meth style

Ugly high waist pants.

gentlemen I've watched this part 14 times in the last 2 hours and I'll I can say is...YAAWN This guy seriously does not know how to make a ham sandwich.. I've seen him at Subway waiting in line and seriously he got a footlong, I believe it was sweet onion chicken teriyaki and he didn't even share with his wife. She came up to me and asked me for 3 dollars so she could eat. I gave her the money and got back in my Subaru. Being the nosey neighbor I am I watched them intently while drinking a Fresca. I noticed he pulls up his brown pants every 30 seconds then i continued to notice a pattern forming. Into the Wild was directed by Sean Penn which means this is a noticeable .34 difference in geographical terms.
Sure when I skate I like to do yoho's and bean plants but I still mix it in with flavor and technical switch backside smith grinds. Chris on the other hand only likes his enchiladas with a green sauce that is mild. You can find him making refried beans on the market square. If you see him tell him those tortillas he made for the true premiere were amazingly delicious and just wondering where I can get more.
Thanks for coming out gentlemen. Cheers
-
that bigspin at macba was fucking insane. it looks like this dude put in a crazy amount of work for his part which is admirable, even if it's not my cup of tea
-
I didn't expect too much from this part, as I wasn't into his style that much in his Etnies clip but goddamn... He went completely bananas and I loved every second of it. That's the kind of skating I miss a little bit nowadays. Breaking boards, getting beat up, and landing the trick afterwards... There's something to be said for that. I guess everyone who has ever skated something beyond a nine stair set can appreciate and relate to this kind of skating. I surprisingly liked the edit a lot too.
-
Love this guys part. I really think it will go down just like Baker 3 did for Antwuan. The only thing that will suck is he has to somewhat out do this part in the future. There are so many skaters that just couldn't do that with every other part they released after their breakout one.
-
if meth has some bearing on that ender, then smoke that shit kid, smoke that shit all the fucking time.
-
Back in 01 I was invited to tour across the country with malcom watson, jim gagne, alex moul, and a young benny fairfax. These guys were on another level of skating, the sessions that were going down were insane. 3 days into the trip I break my ankle trying to front crook this hubba in Milwaukee. Shit was crazy
-
That nollie flip five 0 he did on Clippers looked more he went for a nollie flip OVER the Clippers, suddenly changed his mind and went for the five 0 grind instead. INSANE!
-
Hellaclips' video player is fucking terrible. Also if there's slam clips with whoever screaming in anger, I turn that shit off.
-
The nollie backside flip where he was going match ten really catched my eye :o

If the player isn't working for you, you can try switching browsers. It was too laggy for me on Chrome.
Also, WHAT THE FUCK!? Watching that part made me feel nervous more than anything. What a mad man!
I can't believe he nollie 360 heelflipped a set that big.
-
that part sucked. another large nail in the coffin for plan b.

Welcome to Slap Forum- where 40 year old alcoholics doing slappy's is appreciated more than a humble kid with a huge trick selection throwing hammers for 4 minutes

whats yr deal

New Carlos Ruiz.
-
I liked it. His style really isnt bad. He reminds me of a mix between Sheckler and Torey. Seems like a humble skate rat. The only thing that sucked was that IMO his part was too good for this particular video, nobody else came close to his level in the video. It must be weird to outshine everyone in the whole video and be the first part because in everyone's heads every time somebody else's part finished their immediate though was "Well that wasn't as good as that kid Joslin though".
-
Is it true that this kid is half a Jew? Or gay or regular or something idk I thought I heard something.
-
it's probably just me, but whenever he does his little run up onto the board he doesn't seem to be going as fast as he should.
-
did no one else see the nosegrind nollie flip on the picnic table. best style on that and in a gnarly line. getting bored with this part is crazy to me.
-
how come ya'll acting like it is something new, this part has been around for weeks.
-
My knees hurt just watching that part.
-
Reminds me of daewon.

I am a 40 year old borderline alcoholic who skates nothing but the smallest of ledges and bowls and I loved this. But not as much as the Tired clip.
-
New Carlos Ruiz.
Yeah what the fuck happened to that dude?
-
that was batshit crazy. what the fuck. give this guy a board with his name on it.
-
was not expecting to like this part at all, but holy fuck did that little tweaker come through with one hell of a part. Not so sure how I feel about the music choices though. I'm pretty sure I could have gone the rest of my life without hearing fucking Barracuda again.
-
that fakie fs heel down that big set was the definition of bolts
-
Anyone else think he was gonna skate to dean blunt at first?
https://soundcloud.com/aimlowmusic/dean-blunt-demon

this dude is the only one taking plan b seriously

i'm into gay art shit, and that got me hyped

Thats doesn't mean they were right... cheering after a trick doesnt mean you think you're the shit. If anything rolling away all straight faced is more cocky

spot on. spot on.

His style would look much better if he didn't wear those cream pants. Varial heel looked much better

i agree with this. look at the slams this guy was taking. it'd be in human not to have a reaction after tre flipping davis for your ender after putting all that work in for your first major part.

In what universe does grabbing the camera and yelling "FUCK YEAH! THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT" directly into the lens make you humble? Can anyone go into more detail on this for me? I'm really interested in seeing how you guys justify this, considering how everyone's justified his dogshit style so far.

You try so hard

Aw, you don't have an answer for me. Bummer.

Mann quit bitchin! aint nothing wrong with getting hype after landing a trick you've worked hard for. some of yall act like you're not supposed to ever be happy for yourself after landing something...do yall even have fun skateboarding anymore or do you just sit around and throw shade all day?
-
Holy fuck. Are people really complaining about him being hyped after he landed the biggest 360 flip of his life? Dude worked his ass off and took some heavy slams in the process. Of course he is going to go crazy when he lands something like that.
-

You never got a job you were trying to get for so long or got accepted in to your dream school and cheered out of joy? Just cause your stoked you landed a trick doesnt mean you think your better than everyone else. Maybe if it was every single trick that would be a little wack but he just landed a massive ender for his debut part let the man celebrate. Also style is subjective, just because you dont like it doesnt mean its not good and has to be justified by someone as to why they like it. I think he has a good style thats all the justification I need

Im going off of the interviews hes had after the video. He doesn't seem like an annoying ungrateful little shit that is looking for attention, its almost like he doesn't know how good he is. Thats the humbling part.

Monkey, i really appreciate you saying sorry in that other thread. It's not everyday you meet good people like yourself. if you would like a brussel sprout chicken ceaser wrap PM me for details.

If i one upped a reynolds ender i would straight up drop trou and spooge right there and then
if i one upped a Reynolds ender, i think that, after my board was stopped in the grass, i would run, yell, jump, high five the whole world, run again , tear my shirt up, yell some more, go and jump around for like 10 minutes with the homies and get fucked up that night and basically be unable to delete that silly ass smile off my face for several days.
-
When did I say that, dipshit? Of course anyone would be hyped after landing something like that. What I asked is how his actions could be considered humble, like others were saying earlier in the thread. I still haven't heard an answer, just a bunch of strawman arguments.
-
i guess the answer is it's not that humble but its definitely not unjustifiable. seems ok to be that hyped after a trick like that.
i dont understand your point, are you trying to call him a jackass?
-
To give him credit, he was hyped on Trevor McClung doing his switch backside flip too in the vid.
-

Just about to say the same. They had to calm his ass down when Trevor landed the ss backflip. On another note, if I went back in time and was the first to get Marilyn Monroe doggy style you could bet I'm going to nut on that ass. If I got a second try and I could flip her, I would nut on her face. I don't know if this behavior is PC for skateboarding but just saying.

Nah, you specifically mentioned him yelling into the camera and how that makes him humble. Also, I think this comment:
Im going off of the interviews hes had after the video. He doesn't seem like an annoying ungrateful little shit that is looking for attention, its almost like he doesn't know how good he is. Thats the humbling part.
is a pretty good explanation and not a strawman.
-
getting hyped doesn't mean your not humble. in his interviews he was acting pretty humble.
it's ok to not like the guy without a rational argument to back it.
