Mine would have to be:
1. The Velvet Underground- White Light/White Heat
2. The Stooges self titled debut
3. David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars
4. Dead Kennedys - Plastic Surgery Disasters
5. Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Don't know if this topic is ABD, but fuck it.
-
bringing it all back home
-
if i answered this next week i might have a different answer, but it's usually:
1. The Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street
2. The Zombies - Odyssey and the Oracle
3. The Stooges - Raw Power
4. Napalm Death - Scum
5. Pussy Galore - Right Now! (or maybe Dwarves - Blood Guts and Pussy)
-
i dont have enough time to think about the other 4, but #1 is the stooges - fun house, hands down.
-
LZ 3
Rainbow "Rising"
Wish you were here
Ride the Lightning
Appetite for Destruction
-
Stooges - fun house
(In no particular order)
Queens of the stone age - tie between the self titled and songs for the deaf
Death from above 1979 - you're a woman, I'm a machine.
Smashing pumpkins - Siamese dream
Pixies - doolittle
-
1. Devo - Duty Now For The Future
2. Ramones - S/T
3. The Cramps - Bad Music For Bad People
4. Creedence - this one is a toss up between Cosmo's Factory and Willy and The Poor Boys
Shit, after that it's like a 4-way tie between Cock Sparrer, Germs, Pagans, and the Sonics.

Although I never understood why people seem to prefer Fun House over Raw Power (trust me I've frequently gotten into arguments with my close friends about this), I think it's rad that all 3 Stooges albums are mentioned.
I really think my #5 is where things start doing the switcheroo... I could throw the Damned Damned Damned, Stones 'Beggars Banquet', The Real Kids first LP, Oblivians 'Popular Favorites', Devo 'Are We Not Men', etc..
The top 4 are pretty set though.

Rolling Stones - Greatest Hits ( I know it's a cop out but it encompasses all the greats)
Zakk Wylde - Book of Shadows
Machine Head - Through the Ashes of Empires
The Haunted - rEVOLVEr
Soilwork - Stabbing the Drama
