It is art, don't argue with me here. Is your sticker game strong? They make your board slide faster
I hate those people who put a RDS sticker on their car and think they're bout that life
-
I put a couple under my heel side wheels because I feel like it reduces wheelbite. That's about the extent of it for me.

Stickers just make wheelbiting more likely, common mistake. Wax works better

Sticker imply that I'm having fun with my skateboard and I'm not allowed to have fun cause I'm FUCKING CORE.

Usually ill put some shop stickers on my board for whoever is holding it down
-
I started skating in 1989. I can't imagine not putting a sticker or a bunch of stickers on my board.
-
Always have a Spitfire sticker on the right side of my nose.
-
thankfully i've always been friends with some people who are sponsored/flowed so through that i've collected a shit ton of stickers throughout the years. its fun to put a few on.
how true is the "incentive" thing really?
-
I like stickering my board, and I don't really mind paying a dollar or whatever for a sticker if its a brand I back. I'll always buy DLX brand's stickers cause they're all products that I genuinely like repping.
-
I'm a fan, i've gone from massive ones to micro ones usually under the rear toe side, so when i flip my board over its in the left corner and won't get fucked up and slid off, nothing worse than half a sticker and all the adhesive collecting dirt and stuff from the street. Not always skate companies, just things i like, those Seinfeld supreme stickers are a good example.

-remember the days when everyone was always like, "Theotis...he's such a nice & wonderful kid". funny.
-When it comes to stickers, I'm usually just a stickler for colors and how it compliments the colors of the deck graphic.
-
I usually have 1 or 2. But, some graphics are just too good.
-
Usually local shops or whatever I have around. One thing I cannot do is put a sticker from a company that is not on my current set up. No Girl sitckers when riding a Real deck. No Lakai stickers when skating Emericas.
-
I usually just leave my deck sticker free, unless I get a good shop sticker or a spitfire sticker on the nose on my board.
-
I love doing sticker jobs, but the last few decks I've had have had really good graphics so I've been more minimal with it. Pretty much agree with the only using brands ON the setup thing except on cruisers. Ive used an Anti hero sticker on an alien cruiser and a TU sticker on a Santa Cruz, I didn't know what TU was yet but whatever. A superstition I've sort of developed is I cannot put stickers on a board once it has been skated, even if it wasn't skated by me, like a homie hand me down or whatever.
-
Almost always have a prize fighter sticker, a scumco sticker, and a theories sticker.
I skate magenta boards but I love scumco also and I don't care.
-
Stickering a new board might be my favourite thing about getting a new board, even though it usually ends up being OCD as fuck and hating the sticker job by the time it's done.
Shoe company sticker has to be the shoes I'm skating at the time. Magazine and distro stickers are obligatory too.
Probably frowned upon here but I double rep shops on just about every board too.
-
Same here, favorite part of getting a new board. But I'm guilty of over stickering sometimes.
I like to rep shops (normally have two or three different shop stickers on my board), friends and the companies I dig even if it's not the same board co. It's all about stoke.
-
I only sticker if I have a Krooked board that came with the eyes, I love putting those on my nose so if I hold my board over my face I look like the Gonz drew me.
-
I generally ordain my board with a single Supreme sticker.....I buy them...they aren't cheap but it's so worth it....
-
I usually put on some stickers from my junk drawer when I get a new board. I'll be pretty stoked on how those look, so a week or so later I'll add a few more and then I'll fucking hate looking at the bottom of my board until it's time to set something else up.
-
Been taking it easy with the stickers. But then again, I been taking it easy with the skateboarding so go figure.
-
in 20 years of skating, I've never put a single sticker on a board. Mostly because I don't trust my own judgement on placement haha
I do appreciate a good sticker job though
-
That is insane Steve! Do you have a collection?
-
If I have a Spitfire sticker I throw it under the right front truck (when the board is upside down), and sometimes a local shop sticker somewhere on there. That's about it since I can't find any Indy stickers.
-
I used to cover the nose of my boards with a million of the same stickers of whatever shop I was supporting at the time. Lately, though, I haven't been putting stickers on my board, simply because a lot of the time after I'm done skating a board, I'll either give it to a friend or if it breaks / I end up breaking it, I'll sand the graphic and paint on the board. Getting stickers off once they've been slid over is almost impossible.
The last sticker job I did on a board, it was on a Real with the absolutely worst graphic I've skated in quite some time... the "go skateboarding 24/7" or whatever graphic. I had just happened to have skated a Mother prior to it, and threw on a million no more corporate blues stickers to cover the graphic, sanded off the little badge on the tail, and threw one of those circle stickers there instead.

I recently bought Ace trucks, but I still got the huge-ass Indy sticker on my nose. Should I scratch it off?

Your average skater wouldn't even bother paying attention to that... But on SLAP you'll get kooked. After all, people here won't wear a t-shirt of a skate brand if it differs from the brands they're currently riding.

Wait people buy supreme stickers?

you can send $5 to the warehouse and they'll send you 5 stickers. I've never done it, but it reminds me of when you could send a couple bucks to skate companies and they'd send you back a catalogue and some stickers and shit.

I got into this a few decades ago. A friend and I were getting ready to cruise the mall. He tossed his adidas windbreaker on while wearing some khaki e's Muskas. I looked at him and asked if he was seriously going into the mall mixing brands. He looked down, looked at me, took the windbreaker off, and said thanks.
I'm a little too loyal about repping brands. The insecurity and OCD runs deep.

He sounds like he's joking...
I cannot ever mix brands other than apparel brands, like I could wear a pair of levi's with a fourstar tee, but never mixing shoe brands and I'm uncomfortable wearing a hardgoods brand if it's not something I'm using, and stickers are the same. I know it's stupid as fuck, but i like to rep what I ride.

I'm glad to hear it's not just me who's branded as fuck. I definitely agree with that last bit

I also tend to throw all my shit on the nose cuz i never do noseslide tricks haha

I agree. I can't commit brand-cest.
-
When it comes to wearing tshirts I don't really give a fuck if it matches what I'm skating. I do agree with the stickers tho. And I've been tempted to put huf stickers on my board but I feel like huf is more than just a shoe brand. But I haven't pulled the trigger on that yet.
-
Bought some bumper stickers of the banner from office space that I like to put on boards.

You never appreciate a good sticker job until you see a really bad one.
-
I wore a Vans shirt today while wearing Cons. Hate away y'all.
....But seriously, intermingling brands has never bothered me too much. I have a lot of skate related OCDs, but that was never one that fucked with me too much.
As for stickers, I'll usually put a few I have lying around on my setups. I just slap em on wherever they might look good. I make sure not to overdo it with the stickers though. An over-stickered deck just doesn't look good to me.
