I've been classing it up a bit lately, that includes fine wine and rare cheeses from around the world. Going from a Kraft Dinner type dude, to where I'm currently at is like night and day. Charcuterie plates with blue cheese and triple creme. It all started trying to get free samples at the Dutch cheese store, they mastered the art
So where are you at with cheese, got any favorites?

All of them, but usually the smellier the better, like gym sock smelly.
-
Shit- You can eat lunch at my local farmer's market for free every Saturday. Local samples of different cheeses, wine, olives, bread, fruit, coffee, other "Artisan" stuff. There's even a Korean booth that rolls out a bunch of different Kim chi's.

That square shaped garbage paste does not qualify as cheese. Then again, it kind of makes sense to call it American.

I love limburger, this brand in particular. If anyone has any recommendations for other brands, please let me know.
Also love Roquefort, brie, Camembert, and provolone. I have a book about cheese and I used to select different types out of it, then look for them at cheese shops. Need to get back into that.
-
Applewood smoked cheddar, goat cheese, double or triple creme brie, Guinness cheddar, tomato basil Havarti, smoked Gouda.
-
mr cheese and me, we're gonna be big stars.

Hence why I put cheese in quotation marks. It's definitely not legit cheese, it tastes like that fat chick probably would.

No love for feta?
Real deal parma or mozza is my fav but ive never ate cheese I havent enjoyed
-

nut cheese does not get enough recognition. It's amazing and has an even better name.
-
Anyone ever tried this? I'm on the fence about wether or not I'd try it, and I'm pretty adventurous with food.

I agreed with this.. then I remembered ricotta exists. It barely tastes like anything and the texture is the biggest turn off ever. I've had it unexpectedly on pizza and in lasagna before and was devastated. I suppose some people add other things to it to make it less gross, but I'd rather buy cheese that's palatable to begin with.

Free, preferably stolen

Maggot Cheese.
"Because the larvae in the cheese can launch themselves for distances up to 15 centimetres (6 in) when disturbed,[2][9] diners hold their hands above the sandwich to prevent the maggots from leaping. Some who eat the cheese prefer not to ingest the maggots. Those who do not wish to do so place the cheese in a sealed paper bag. The maggots, starved for oxygen, writhe and jump in the bag, creating a "pitter-patter" sound. When the sounds subside, the maggots are dead and the cheese can be eaten.[10]"

Same. While I'm sitting there waiting for the bagels to finish toasting I'll just start going at the strawberry cream cheese with a spoon.

We have that too but I don't think I could eat that straight up. Strawberry or blueberry cream cheese I'll inhale it. Think we have a family size tub of it in the fridge right now. Brb...

Twin Peaks - Sandwiches Scene (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6N-YmGuiGw#)
^ Brie and butter on a baguette is a great one.
Sometimes I purposely eat cheese right before bed in hopes that it will give me crazy dreams. I think I might go have some right now! I also took some melatonin (which I don't take often)... shit's gonna get weird.

My GF and I went to visit her family down in Florida a few months back, and they gave her some of this. It was pretty good, I think it's basically American cheese but it was still really good. Never seen it anywhere in New England. Anyone fux with?
-
comte/gruyere by itself. american on breakfast sandwiches/grilled cheese sandwich/hamburgers. swiss on deli sandwiches. mediterranean cheeses (moz/feta) good on mediterranean food. idk cheese is nice. lots of variety

roquefort and gruyere. also, if you put anything on a burger except american cheese, fuck off.
-
I'm a fan of pepper jack on a burger. Depends on the burger though, and if avocado is involved. I do not like blue cheese. At all.

Gouda works best on burgers imo. American cheese is kind of boring but I still fux with it

I like havarti or mozza on a nice burger. I dislike american cheese but will be a hypocrite and use it from time to time. Only on burgers or grilled cheese though.

Ah yes, the ol peppa jeck. I forgot about that one. And yeah...blue cheese is made with mold. Yeah, no.
-
I don't know if it's cheese or cheese product, but I can eat the entire block, whenever I drink.

it was a joke brought on by your patriotism post in the pet peeves thread.
im not really a cheese aficionado or anything, but i cant really think of a cheese i dont like. pepper jack is probably my go to.

Sharp cheddar smothered in sriracha.
-
Brie, some nice salami and red sweet pepper on a cracker. I like when the brie is real soft, like a cheese smoothie.
-
wiki: "The characteristic flavor of blue cheeses tends to be sharp and salty. The smell of this food is due both to the mold and the types of bacteria encouraged to grow on the cheese: for example, the bacterium Brevibacterium linens is responsible for the smell of many blue cheeses,[1] as well as foot odor and other human body odors.[2]"
now i know why i love the blue cheese family so much.

I want to add that extra old cheddar on a freshly baked tea biscuit with red or hot pepper jelly is so good.
Also, cheese curds. Because poutine.
-
My wife loves blue cheese. It's disgusting. She makes this salad with it, strawberries, walnuts... God, I hate it so much. It's seriously her favorite, and she was so pissed that she couldn't eat it when she was pregnant.

The blue isn't the most striking thing about that salad... Walnuts and... Strawberries? Chunky blue cheese dressing tastes nice. That can't taste good without some chicken or steak on top.

I have to google all these suggestions... "Munchies guide to Wales" is totally worth watching (youtube.) One episode focused on rarebit which made me mouth water. It's heavy bread topped with Welsh cheddar and some other nice things
