Tell me
-
Maybe I'm gonna try the canvas version.
-
Because your mom can't afford to buy us all a pair.
-
make it an all suede mid and I'll buy it.
-
because i only skate high tops. flaco high and i'll skate them.
-
Because whether you like it or not people are not fucking with Lakai like they used to, they lost their vibe and hype.
-
i was gonna, but i heard they don't have tongue straps, which is a pet peeve. and the staples do, so i just get those.
-
Because its called "The Flaco". This aint America Me Lil Puppet.
-

are you a belieber? who cares about vibe and hype.
-
I already bought 2 pairs. The tounge strap turned out to be a non-issue. Lux-lite insole is legit.
-
ok, good to know! i'll reconsider after i kill these two pairs of staples. 8)
-
The sole has a giant hole in them

too hyped on Emerica for Chapter 2
-
Because I have a wide-ass foot.
-
Because the struggle is real
-
because i'm broke nigga, also fuck thin low top vulcs
-
because nike sb gt blazer
-
Because Nike Marketing.
For real tho, I got the Chocolate versions because they looked kind of like the OG Cons Pops pro. I really like them. Swapped the insoles with my old Wes Kramer pros and they feel perfect for a vulc. Laced all the way up, tongue straps are redundant. I wish the area around the forefoot where the tongue bonds to the toe was done a little differently. They're already creased up and kind of shitty looking. I'm also used to "open" toe areas because of my fucked up feet and gait (think Janoski, Dunks, Figgys). I assume they will hold up very nicely once I skate them. The suede is some of the best I've seen on any non-NB skate shoe in a while. Also the Perez would have been a better name and fit in with the Lakai scheme much better. Why the fuck they pulled a Project BA with the naming is beyond me. The dude was in one of the biggest videos of the year and they didn't put his actual name on the thing.

I'm saying people should buy stuff based on whether they like it, not on vibe and hype. Unless you're a confused teenager who can't think for himself.

this, and lakai isn't worth caring about.

I understood 78.57% of this sentence. Thanks, Duolingo!
The Fremont, Fura, and Vincent 2 seem like the nicest models. Surprising to see the MJs still for sale on the site, but it makes sense.
-
because i already have a few pairs of the one stars
-
it's kinda ugly
-
Really don't like the name of those shoes after a second thought, they're 4th on my shoe choices and I've been a big lakai fan since the beginning. .I'm a vibe skater and unfortunately lakais vibe is 3rd now, doesn't mean they're not still great. I'll be skating some laced and states first but these would be perfect for a trip

I understand that and in a sense you are right but it simply doesn't work like that, people aren't feeling the same way about Lakai as they used to do. Also, whether we like it or not the pre-teen and teen market is the biggest and they are not reaching them like they used to do.

Surfdome, a UK Shop. I got a 13US and it's quite easy to find the last pairs at 50-60% off

I'm saying people should buy stuff based on whether they like it, not on vibe and hype. Unless you're a confused teenager who can't think for himself.
And this is why I have not bought it. However, some of the movement behind the brand could have changed that, as I feel that Lakai really has not given me any reason to even want to buy their stuff.
Point being, I skate in Huf's, and have been since 2014. Once Dylan and Reider got on, the line changed up, I was into it. And, I can promise you that when the shop I used to work at got their first waves of Huf, I would have never thought about touching them. But, as time went on, the design changed, they put out more content, etc. So I like it to the point that I feel beyond obliged to buy it. There are some other shoe brands out there that I see, and I like the models. But I don't know if I would like them when I put them on. I'd almost feel guilty. I skate what I do as the team is great, and again, the product quality is there. So if Lakai could do something, which would call for a pretty large revitalization, they could certainly have more folks excited. Right now, in my area, it's DC's and Vans. Period.

They don't look that bad. I'm just not into current shoe trends. In fact, every few years, I find myself hating every shoe on the market based on looks. I will stick with griffen xlk as long as they make them.
