The best use of music ever in a video doesn't belong to one part, it belongs to habitat and Mr. Dibbs
-
habitat's music selection is too predictable.. fuck all that jangly 'indie pop' made in brooklyn

I saw allah las last night (a band who has had a few songs featured in habitat videos) and they were amazing. I can only blame habitat for my influence on that band. Cant say i regret that. Their vids have helped me find good music.

this song belongs on a love park edit

That's Life had such a significant role in influencing my taste in music while I was growing up. Thanks Duffel!

i've been to a Corey Duffel DJ night, and im happy to report that he's excellent at it.

Whenever Duffel is on the 1's & 2's and he drops "Bear Force One" the dance floor goes WILD!

you misspelled "alien workshop"

I remember thinking Duffel always had similar distorted/faded guitar chords(?) in many of his songs in parts, anyone else catch this?
I found Siouxsie & The Banshees because of Duffman and I'm grateful for it. Already had Arabian Nights but picked up the epic that is Peepshow at a used CD store just from knowing the band name.

Have to agree. I've always kind of enjoyed INXS for being the corniest band in the world, but this part woke me up to the fact that they actually made at least one really great song:
Corey Duffel WTF Foundation Skateboards (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHVVnuq2VAA#)
Shimizu is another who always delivers:
Classics: Daniel Shimizu, "That's Life" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96nNw1ZhIoQ#)
Daniel Shimizu Art Bars (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSXDKCD92hI#)

Yup, I agree Duffel for the win. Always get new music from learning what he's listening to. That being said, foundation video's in general always have such great music. Shout out to Nuge's song in Cataclysmic Abyss (La' Peste, Better off Dead) and all Nuge's music.
-
It all depends on what your into. Personally, I've always liked what Kalis skated to outside of Mindfield. Action Bronson, Gangstarr, Scarface, Rolling Stones, Freddie Fox, Black Rob, Company Flow, Marvin Gaye and KMD. Obviously, looking at this you can tell I'm into 90's NYC hip hop.
-
Lots of parts have good songs, but when I saw this I immediately thought of his Foundation part with INXS, and I looked through the other posts and I have to agree, Duffel's got good taste for music.

thats life has one of the best skatevideo soundtrack of all time in my opinion. the only bad song is that shitty one matt allen skated to.

Leo and Angel's were pretty bad too. And that horrible Mudhoney song in the friends section. The Intro, Silva, Fowler (one of few covers that is better than the original in my opinion) and Duffel's were the highlights, for sure.

I think i started buying records a little bit more consistently around when this dropped. I was so hyped on this track, that i'd buy every copy id see of that chambers brothers lp if it was under $3 and would just give them to friends for a while.
