Ah, wow! A bigger company steals from a smaller company.

Bummer, but it's almost inevitable at this point.

Remember when Jeremy Scott ripped off Jimbo Philips' Santa Cruz graphics for some shit clothes?

H&M sponsor Ben Nordberg anyway, so they're basically a core skate brand.

Snake handshake is a common tattoo which predates Doom Sayers, though.

Exactly. Just like Palace tried to claim the impossible triangle.

All h&m and forever 21 do is rip off others ideas. Like the thrasher rip offs and basically any classic rock band logo or "tour" shirt, bitches love that shit. Skate companies aren't new to getting cease and desist letters either. Just don't let your girl buy the rip offs

Gotta go to the mall (shopping centre) later to pick my Mrs up. Better not see these shits on the shop floor!
They did a really tired Thrasher flame logo rip off that I saw in there last time too - was so lazy.

I came here to say the same thing. Not saying Doomsayers bites other people's stuff but as a whole the skateboard industry is incredibly guilty of ripping off other people's designs. So don't act surprised when it happens the other way around.

the "rip off" is a term which is ingrained in skateboard visual culture but when the act is perpetrated upon it by someone outside of the industry it creates an interesting conundrum. I think part of it is that the element of humor and not taking oneself seriously, ie, blind, world, enjoi... similar to the comedic theory of "punching up". We find it unacceptable for a "larger", serious, more profitable brand to punch down on small skate brands.

Everything is a rip-off of something. Supreme's cherished box logo isn't original. Every type-face has been used before your favorite company used it. This comment is a rehash of something someone else has said before. The Earth is a manual pad. Humans take dog drugs. The Nike swoosh is inside the Lakai symbol.

It's this but H&M using this is just one more instance of a major company stealing ideas from smaller companies and in some case individuals without credit and getting away with it.  Stealing from small/independent designers is actually a huge issue in the fashion world.

It's not that they ALWAYS steal from small/independent designers, it's just that when they see something is becoming popular, and they can cash in on that popularity.  They don't give a shit how big/small Doom Sayers is - it's a graphic that's gained popularity - DOLLARS, HOMEBOY!!!

The only reason I like Doom Sayers is that they send boxes to one of the best local skaters in my city. As has been previously stated, it was a image long before Doom Sayers used it.

It's when you fist Lindsay Lohan and once your hand is crammed right in there you feel the strong reassuring grasp of another mans hand embracing yours. This also works on Kesha.

Don't get me started on Thrasher shirts, even washing them cold delicate cycle with a hang dry turns them into baby tees. Baby tees that feel like a brown paper bag.

Pair them with the right banana hammock or budgie smugglers and it's all good though.

What other Sacramento based brands are there anyway besides Pizza? Doom didnt tell my local shop in Cali what to carry, fuck that. $32 tee shirts is a joke. Doom is actually a pretty small brand that appears larger than it is. And I heard Doom recently moved their warehouse to Florida

Not really on either side, H&M has always been wack and that has always been a pretty traditional symbol.  Someone should take Omar's phone away for a few weeks or at least the emoji keyboard.
