this is decent...
-
those black one look so much like those old grecos, and yah I mean the manchester 2 doesn't look like a bad shoe, but they should of just released it under a different name because they totally fucked up the sequel aspect.
-
Sick sherpa detailing on the lowtops.
-
wait, I'm I missing something? How do we know that they're Manchester 2's? Like them though...
-
all nasty

Guille, the first, fourth, and fifth pair look decent. I'd wear em proudly.
Hmmmm.... support Mike Carroll and Rick Howard or god knows who?
I'm surprised their shoes are on there but 7 they have driven a straight
path and have kept it strictly skate. Who else is more worthy to support?
-
The last one looks like an Air Max 1.
I like Lakai, and I want to support them, but man, they make some crappy shoes. Too bad.
-
i just hate all these special editions and crap every company comes out with. they are the only brand out there besides es thats strictly skateboarding but selling out to some lame artist crap is no different than having a motox boot in my books. plus if i see one more kid at the park wearing some ugly ass bronze hightop boots im gonna go on a penis shooting rampage, splattering baby bullets all over kelly birds chest.

Emerica, Vox, fallen, ipath?
-
I think all these silly pattern/graphic shoes are going to be looked back on as the ugly side of the current skate shoe climate. Dollar bills? Pictures of skulls and bright orange demons? A photo of the new york city skyline? Little flowers all over? Dollar signs and diamonds? To sum it up in a word, whaaaaaaaaaaa

none of those are skateboard shoe companys, they are gimmick companies. emerica vox and fallen are directed ONLY at the "new hesh" fashion family (all those kids with the stupid train conducter hats and paint on pants who refer to people as fresh or hesh and think hesh means skating rails and wearing tight clothes) and ipath is that hippy company. lakai isnt directed at a certain market, its directed at skateboarders.
-
Oh, I thought you meant brands without BMX teams and stuff like that... I'm still right on Vox though, deffinatley not just "hesh" with people like Strubs and Oyola having models...

I thought the Manchester was famous for being thin and having lace loops. What you've got now looks like the P-Rod 2.

Anyone else notice the similarity between the black shoe (2nd one down) and the second Jim Greco Vans model? Lakai biting Greco? What's this world coming to?

i skate vox and i wouldn't consider myself hesh. they're just skate shoes, fallen is definately marketed toward those going for a pre-fab hesh look
-
I'm biased, but I like 3 of the shoes. I agree that this arty print stuff on shoes is getting a little out of hand, but Mueller has been a part of Lakai for a long time now so he's due.

Easy solution for you "Don't buy them". If you looked a little more into what Laki is doing with this you might understand . What so now you hate the lakai line of skate shoes cause there doing something diffrent out side of there skate line of shoes? You should be banned from seeing "Fully Flared"
I am sure you would say your last comment straight to Kelly birds face.
http://www.thequietlife.com/
-
first off, i would slap the fuck out of kelly bird with your body like a baseball bat. second i dont buy those horrid artist limited bullshit shoes so nice attempt at a solution you stupid cunt. now smart the fuck up, if you pay attention to anything on these boards you will know the only company i support shoe wise is lakai. research before you make an ass of yourself fuckface. and fuck artists. blow me.

Artists are worse moto motocrossers.

The last ones are pretty cool, everything else I'd have to see in person before I made up my mind.

Your right internet tuff guy I don't pay attention to you nor do I need to with your 1700 plus post's now thats something to be proud of. Like I said "Don't buy them" and quit your little girl bitching. Your response to me looks like something straight out of the 7th grade. Also to comment about fuck artists your basically saying fuck skateboarders? Skateboarding is a form of art.Its not a sport.
-
I thought all those samples looked pretty good.
-
i think it's cool...they look o.k...the whole shoe collecter shit was falling off a long time ago... now i think these guys are just doing this for something fun....

theyre limited edition shoes and nothing more, theyl be gone from your lives in 2 months.
if you like then buy, if you dont then buy something you do like instead. Getting all offended and going off about selling out is pointless.
-
they need to stop making them so they stop ending up at the park and on the feet of every scenester dork in box frames. can i borrow your hat, i need to conduct a train.
-
You know what's funny?
I am actually really pumped on those Africa Fallens.

Do the scenester's hang out at the park? They all should be at the bar.

is the hi top thing a "new" fad they brought back like vulcanized shoes? not just lakais, but most shoe companies now have those hi tops and i personally think they look ridiculous.
-
high tops are pretty cool, they help your ankles out
-
Highs were the shoe trend that came right after brown shoes, but a little bit before vulcanized. Recently folks have been combining all 3 to delightful results.
-

i think that is a bit of a myth
-
Some of those Lakais don't look bad..

Alexactly..

Those are nowhere near as bad as the ones I thought would be posted. High tops and vulcanized soles are old school but them coming back might be a new 'fad'. Either way not like most people actually tie them that high. More like sharkbite protection.
Was thinking there's be pictures of Scott Johnstons and Carroll IIs.

one of the original lakais i actually liked were the fades
i dunno why
-
dam they came along way ^^^^^^ props
-
i have never had a pair of lakais.
-
i have never had a pair of lakais.
Same, but I'm hoping to be able to afford them for my next pair.
-
I personally was a fan of the Codes and Franchise, the franchise were so ill to skate in.
-

i will admit to having these.

i remember looking through ccs and seeing these all the time (http://www.lakai.com/SUM03/SHOE_ARCHIVE/spring01/FADE.NAVY.jpg)

Had those (Sotys) in army green-yellow. Were terrible and the air bubble deflated/popped after a few days of skating. But to be fair they were picked up on clearance for $20 so I didn't expect much.
The Forums and Flows were sick for skating.

I had these... *shame*...
and the Fade's too, but I thought those were dope.
Didn't skate well at all though.
-
these are the lakais i've had 'til now... my faves were the kingstons...the socas would've rated higher but the material i got them was this weird velour type of thing so they tore too easily...i have the manchester now and they're good
didn't much like or the staples, carrolls, or howards

Socas looked so much better in their first run with that thin sole.
-
(http://woodlandskateshop.nuxit.net/images/produits/Lakai/frazier.jpeg)
my fraziers lasted forever. I still have em actually, and they're still perfectly skateable
-
I actually like the Belmonts. Maybe not in that color but these...
