They only get like one board most of the time anyways? I remember when Dennis Durrant turned pro for element australia everyone was psyched. He ended up getting 2 pro model boards like 2 years ago and that was it

Magnus didn't go all in. The board isn't sad just disappointing, he is (was?) the upper echilon of BC skating. Now it's like yeaaaah you've been riding for us for so long here you go? If Magnus hits the jets the whole world will feel it, he's that good.

What's up with some of the older skaters not liking him? Corey Shepperd called him out as the worst to have on a sesh in his Bunt episode. This other older Van skater illflow Trev just had an instabeef over the weekend about Magnus.

Those are the only two people who don't like him basically. Corey has or had a bad drinking problem and was fucking with mag years ago on a momentum trip relentlessly when mag was a young. He got fed up and told Corey to fuck off or he'd smash him and ever since Corey's hated him. Trev, where to start. He hates so many people I can't keep up. With most Vancouver skaters the feeling is mutual. He's had a hissy fit at no less than 4 people I know at while skating plaza. Theres a nice list of people who are gonna punch him in the mouth the next time they see him.
The comments over this being way to late or over due are sort of true. It's really just a reflection of not playing the skateboard industry game. I think it's rad that he got a pro board on a big company while doing everything on his terms. Staying around his friends and family skating because he loves it. The homies that work for element and momentum know what's up and made it happen for him because he deserves it. There's a reason the mob at plaza lost its mind when he got his board. Everyone in Vancouver knows he's as good as anybody out and a real G.

I am pretty sure I saw him skate once or twice in Tokyo, he was a friend of a friend and was at the spot we always skated.
I think he may of even had a board on a short-lived Japanese brand too, something like "Experiment" maybe....looked just like Expedition, but don't quote me on it. My memory isn't the greatest.

Trevor was at Plaza trying to Ollie like seven or eight boards laying flat on the ground to show off for a crew of non skater homies that he brought to the park. He stacked them in everyone's way and his buddies were sitting on the ledges. Trevor already tried a half dozen times to clear them. His homies yelling "ooooohhhhh" every time he came close. It was pissing mag off because, well Trevor pisses everyone off. So mag just rolls though and ollies them first try, laps the park and kickflips them, then laps the park again and backside flips them. It was hilarious.

Thanks for the background/insight. I'm old as fuck and rolling around the plaza once a week is the extent of my skating.
