Damn he looks rough.
I know for a fact some of that footage is at least 2 years old. Jake of LE on FSC?
Pretty gnarly regardless.

The kickflip ender was a cover in December 2014. Who knows how old some of this is. Good footage though.

Damn that was sick

Ollie into the transition on the far side of the pool was pretty neat

He has always been a favourite, such a good kickflip / fs flip!
Shame to see him on Fuckin Shit Cunt

Loved this quote

Don’t call it a comeback...
Don’t.

I hate to see him jump down shit. His tranny skating is amazing enough that he doesn't have to do that. It looks good when he goes down gaps, its just that hes already done that stuff 15 years ago, and I want him to save his knees to prolong his tranny skating career and because I care about well being cause he's a pro I think is cool.
-
Rough-looking or not, he still has one of those rare kickflips.
-
God damn that was awesome
the tail drop into the roof bank could have been pretty dangerous if he ended up sticking. Highlight for me as the ollie into the other side of the bowl. King Gizzard for the win.
-
Fuck yeah, Jake.
-
If he didn't have that beard he'd look less beat. I forgot Theeve trucks was around too. This was refreshing to see, just want to more!

Yeah that was bonkers, I’ve skated that bowl in NZ and I can tell you it’s not supposed to look that easy... And I love his kickflips.

I’ll always have a soft spot for Jake. Dude was, in my opinion, one cover/interview away from winning SOTY back in the late aughts.

he had a year in there where he was up for it... after shane passed he s been on a rampage... the year right after his globe part dropped i think- i also remember him ripping at kotr... that cabflip over the spine comes to mind. then some padless channel to nosegrind that jake loved... also that crazy kickflip at a south america demo- volcom maybe...
but i think he broke his arm and blew out his knee shortly after... seemed like it took him a while to come back so he lost everything... i think it s pretty hard to get decent footage without the machine- tours filmers fotographers money and product- behind you. i m always surprised how he s able to come up with sick footy these days.

Second this, he was insanely productive in 2007/2008 after Shane Cross passed, dropping his two best parts to date (Globe and Volcom) and handling KOTR with pneumonia. I don't know if he was a step away from SOTY, what with Fully Flared and Inhabitants dropping at the same time, but I always thought it was a bummer that he didn't keep that productive streak going and got hurt and, subsequently, lost in the sauce instead. Seems like he never really got over Shane's passing.

Always loved his intro skit in Lets Live.
-
He seems like the kinda guy that wouldn't put those grates back down after that front board.

I'd trade Duncombe for Harambe any day!

That said, I was only three parts and two covers away from SOTY that year too ;)

Pretty much all of that was gnarly.

objectively more deserving of a pro board in 2017 than gino?
