For me it's for sure on a transition ollie, when you end up going just a little too fast and flying higher than you're prepared for. So, in the moment, you consider kicking away, but your feet are just magically glued to the bolts and so you feel her, say "fuck it", put her down and bring her home.

For me, it was the feeling of having invented something new when I was pretty young. I did a fs underflip or some bullshit like that (ollie and than kick under the board so it rotates like a fs varial heelflip). It was not the trick per se, but the thought of having created it. Later I saw Rodney Mullen do it, I think Greco does it too. Fuckers.

I wonder how many people have thought they invented a trick before finding out loads of people have done it before or it's that much of a circus trick nobody ever will. I have ticks in both those columns.

Nothing will ever beat the feeling of that first slash in a backyard pool. There's something about all the work searching for a perfect shit pit, figuring out the line, and throwing all your weight to destroy that coping and hear that grinding noise. Get's the blood flowing.

Sometimes it genuinely is eating shit on a big hill. First it goes wrong, and you realize you are fucked, maybe you try to run it out and then there is just the death tumble to slide. That first second where you are just lying there, knowing that you are both ok, and very not ok at the same time. Feeling the burn where the newly formed holes and future scars, looking down your body and seeing your thrashed clothes and bloody wounds as the wet blood soaks your skin and blood, its such an experience in living.
The best part is that I’ve never eaten shit on a hill right by my car or my home. So after you take it all in, you get up, and you skate down the rest of the hill, then the next hill, blood dripping onto the street, the wind cooling the sting of the cuts and scrapes, a little more humble than you were when the day began.
The weeks after that tend to suck, but the moment is something you remember

Any trick you do whether on transition, handrail or flat where you don't lose speed through the process, like your momentum stays constant. Feels like you're constantly flowing. I wish I knew how, or even had the balls to skate pools well; that's gotta be the best feeling.

Anytime where I'm going downhill is a good feeling for me, u just let gravity take control.
Steep hills where you don't know what to do next or if you'll make it without falling.
Mellow downhills where u can cruise, not push, n do rad maneuvers on stuff.
Any kinda trick that lands into a bank or hill.

One of the coolest feelings I’ve gotten on my board is how, as you progress obstacles that you feared start looking smaller and smaller. Transition get smaller, corners aren’t as tight, coping gets bigger etc... It’s kind of a mind fu*k sometimes

How cool they think you are also is in direct relation to what else is going on in your life. Are you a lawyer who still finds time to skate? They love it, you are serious in life but still have passions outside of work. Are you working some minimum wage job and skating? Then they think you are trying to hard to avoid adult responsibilities by skating.
