As I got older I hoped Hubba was more of a joke than an actual company. If someone thought that using attractive women to sell random products would be kind of funny in a way, but I'm sure it was more of a casting couch situation. I'm sure Fred Gall has slept with all of those women though.

The marketing plan for Hubba would be extremely successful in the current day market. There are numerous companies that profit off of weed graphics and "Instagram models" are a dime a dozen. While there is a stranglehold on the wheel market, I haven't ridden anything besides Spitfire and Bones for the 12 years I have ridden a skateboard, the marketing alone could move product more so than ever. I'd be more likely to ride a decent quality wheel which sported half naked chicks in their ads versus a Shake Junt logo grip tape with Shane Heyl as the mascot.
