Hello,
i'm living in a cold and wet area, and i'm thinking about buying a set of Reds ceramic.
the balls retainers are made of nylon, and this material is quite britle, especially in the dead of winter.
Will my bearings outlast the cold weather ?
-
yes
-
don't do it. cold will make ceramic brittle
-
I wouldn't do it because I don't think ceramic bearings are that much more durable..
-
thanks a lot, i'll probably buy a set of Super Swiss 6 instead
-
Get some ceramic or stainless Hard Luck bearings. they will never rust. just keep them clean and lubed
-
Super Swiss 6
-
the main thing with any bearings as mentioned before and in other threads in maintenance. i know most people dont wanna clean and maintain them so its cheaper for people to buy $15 bearings every so often.
-
Bronson raws, just be meticulous when cleaning them
-
If you really want ceramics, get black panther.
