Somethingisleaking on the hub for sure. Once a video is nearing the hour mark maybe consider cutting down on the slowmo or something. Too much good stuff gets lost once it gets to long. Jaakko's part is the one I'm most interested in watching again.

I don't know what either of your problems are with Peterson or his part because I liked it. My only qualm is that he pulled a Mikey Taylor and used a trick that a lesser known skater already did years ago as his ender. That was Miner's decision though.

Mason skating to Unwound was genius.
I fuckin hate op-ivy, but loved westgate's mid part silent hammer section.
Evan Smith delivered, as expected, but I wasn't feeling that track at all. His part also made me realize I much prefer watching him be filmed fisheye. Somehow he doesn't translate as well long lens; his skating loses some of it's intensity.
Tyson is awesome.
Gregson is such a good transition filmer; that line where they pass off the camera rules.
Miner made a fairly cohesive hour long full length of a really diverse team for Element in 2018, and I don't think anyone else could have even come close to making something as watchable as this.
I don't think I'll watch this whole video all that much, and thats nothing against Miner's direction, but it's got some incredible parts that will be on repeat, for sure.

True, but I don't know that it fs/bs matters any more when doing 50-50 on rails like these. And I do understand the narrative Miner was trying to imply.
Also, Pedro Delfino made that fs wallride off that roof on the metal wall look way gnarlier than Tyson did. I think it's funny how different it looked between the two of them.

A lot of the music sucks, a lot of the music is great (the Op Ivy nostalgia felt really forced and corny as hell; the Mogwai track gave me a boner)

Mandatory comment about the soundtrack: it gets better towards the end but I thought it was pretty bland overall. Another disappointment was the lack of an euro montage, I needed some Jarne action in my life.
Good parts: Nick Garcia went harder than expected, and the Spanish lady hit by Evan was a total sweetheart, shout outs to her.

I don't care how out of place it feels, I was psyched to hear some Operation Ivy.
Overall it was a hella solid video. Probably a little longer than necessary, but I appreciate how diverse their team is and how every facet was represented reasonably well. Only real complaint is some of the melodramatic music sorta dulled the parts with quirky skating, namely Maders' part. Mason's ender was fucked and a half though.

I felt like I was watching one of the last of a dying breed of skate videos. It really would have fit in with the Yeah Right, This is Skateboarding and Sorry’s of the world. Not in terms of the actual skating, but the style of the video itself. Apparently this is just Jon Miner’s style, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
-The little intros looked like they could be from an On Video.
-Some of the music choices, like Op Ivy and Bad Brains scream late 90’s, early 2000’s to me. Reminded me of Nyjah skating to the Bad Brains back when he had more hair than actual body mass.
-An hour long video would have been par for the course in 2003, but now it’s somewhat rare to see anything over 30 mins.
Besides that, I thought Westgate and Nassim Guammaz were the my favorites.

Interesting thought. I’m kind of that way if I watch a replay of an old boxing match. I try to not look at the time. Otherwise I have a mental countdown going which sucks all the fun and suspense out of it.

Both are crazy for skating that rail but Derek's 5050 was all center balanced and not locking both trucks in different directions to hold 50s easier. It seemed like that's how Tyson did it

That was far better than I was expecting.
Westgate, Jakko, Garcia (best bsnb ever and best trick at that spot ever), Nassim and Madars stood out. Can't believe how fast dudes were cooking at some of that stuff. Insane.
I actually skipped Tyson's part except for the ender. Nice kid but not into his deal. Scanned through the rail dude mixed part to see the El Toro back smith. Meh. I think I've grown tired of Evan Smith. Ethan Loy is clearly the superior Loy. Mason Silva is insane but I don't remember much aside from the twisty wallride ender and the gnarly 180 ss crook on the electrical box. Think I'm still trying to process how he did the same trick on Oside hubba a few years back.

Not that my opinion (or anyone’s really) holds weight here but I have zero complaints about the entire thing. If your bitching then I feel bad for you that you’re really digging that far into it; it’s a fucking skate video. It wasn’t perfect but what is? All around ripping regardless of music or slo-mo. That being said I respect everyone’s opinions, I didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much as I did.
Edit: the way Dominick Walkers insane 50-50 Skateboard Mag cover was filmed is probably one of my favorite clips of all time. All the bystanders turning around to watch and the post land celebration is epic.

I thought this was awesome. For some reason Westgate's part didn't really do it as much as I had expected for me, in spite of the obvious insanity. But Nassim and everything after and including Jaako was sensational. The Europeans really came through for this, great that Element gave full parts to Jaako and Madars, these were my favourite parts in the video.
Also, on average, this must be the most high-speed full-length ever, Nassim, Evan, Mason and Westgate went full throttle on every single trick.

Shit was good but underwhelming. Imagine if Evan hadn't been hurt the last year or whatever. He would have been able to sprinkle some enders in there and some lines. No Colbourn even if he has something else coming out was pretty wack. Did anyone like the music? I don't think I liked a single song, and no I don't fuck with bad brains.

Great parts from Evan, Madars, Jaakko, Mason and Nick Garcia. Music sucked, could've worked for a 10 minute clip but hour long video not so much.
Really good video and the team is stacked with great people, but kinda lacked ender enders. These big projects that are so far apart these day and get hyped up for years always get my expectations way too high and I'm stupidly waiting for everyone to go for some next level shit. But I guess full videos just aren't the main focus for people anymore. The last video I can remember that really did it for me was cold war.

That was absolutely insane. I guess I wasn’t paying a lot of attention to element so I wasn’t expecting a full length video coming. Not a weak part in there, even the skating that wasn’t my preferred flavor (Grayson fletcher) was still watchable and sick. Tyson’s footage did seem like lots of Vans throwaway, but he’s objectively good enough that even his B+ stuff is impressive, even if it doesn’t make me want to skate or anything.

all together a really good video. it still has an element feel but it's not over the top or jammed down your throat. i didn't think the slow mo was way too overbearing. music could've been better but didn't bother me too much. it's one of those videos that's an hour long but seems to whizz by. also, did anyone else notice heath was pulling westgate to skate the heath gap..? i thought that was pretty rad homage on westgate's end and minor's. i am glad i spent the 13 bucks cause this video has more replay value than anything i've seen in a while and it will stay on loop over here.

Surprised by how much I liked ethan loy's part. Additionally, Miner really has an eye for interesting architecture and textures, which is something I appreciated about this video in particular and serves to justify some of the melodramatic music as it lends well to grandiose shots of cityscapes and whatnot. He really forefronted the uniqueness and beauty of many of the spots.

I watched it on the pornhub link the day it was released and then went to iTunes and bought it. Definitely worth $13. I did not think I would ever buy an Element product after they did Jeremy Wray like that, but I'll be damned if KOTR and the quality of Peace didn't at least justify a video purchase.
Miner just did a great job. In the "everybody can do everything" era, it is damn near impossible for all those middle parts to not just get lost. I feel like Julian Davidson was the only one I was numb to. I was really expecting to glaze over for Nick Garcia's part but he kept it fresh.
Ethan Loy skating slow mo to Om was brilliant. Absolutely flipped the pacing and made his part stand out.
Evan Smith did great considering the injury and that he has released like 5 other full video parts while filming this.
Good job, Element. Now publicly apologize to Jeremy Wray.

Also, on average, this must be the most high-speed full-length ever, Nassim, Evan, Mason and Westgate went full throttle on every single trick.
There was definitely a LOT of really great, fast skating, but I think the Polar video might have it beat.

I felt like I was watching one of the last of a dying breed of skate videos. It really would have fit in with the Yeah Right, This is Skateboarding and Sorry’s of the world. Not in terms of the actual skating, but the style of the video itself. Apparently this is just Jon Miner’s style, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
-The little intros looked like they could be from an On Video.
-Some of the music choices, like Op Ivy and Bad Brains scream late 90’s, early 2000’s to me. Reminded me of Nyjah skating to the Bad Brains back when he had more hair than actual body mass.
-An hour long video would have been par for the course in 2003, but now it’s somewhat rare to see anything over 30 mins.
Besides that, I thought Westgate and Nassim Guammaz were the my favorites.
i think part of the problem with longer videos these days is that you know how long it is. i miss back in the day wondering how much longer the tape was going to run and whether or not there would be stuff after the credits. knowing a video is an hour long feels like a chore now because you know exactly how much is left.
Interesting thought. I’m kind of that way if I watch a replay of an old boxing match. I try to not look at the time. Otherwise I have a mental countdown going which sucks all the fun and suspense out of it.

I watched a link while it was up. there was some really great skating. Madars, Nick Garcia, Westgate, and Evan Smith stood out. the music was pretty painful and it gave the video a current Transworld video vibe or something. if Krooked could afford the Oh Sees maybe Element should loosen the purse strings a bit. is there skate video muzak? is that a thing? could Duane Pitre do it?

Just finished watching. Well I'll be damned but I miss Element? That video was the real deal. Nothing but an old fashioned full length done the way it should be. What an accomplishment from Miner, Bublitz, and everyone else involved. It felt like a breath of fresh air.

Fuck this vid is such a pleasant surprise, an hour long element vid sounded like a chore but it delivered so much amazing skateboarding. hard to digest after the first viewing but Jaakko's part is nuts, Madars is unreal and Westgate is fuckin Westgate.

But the biggest surprise is Ethan Loy, a really unexpected mix of tricks that actually went good with the song and all the slomo.
