I had at least 15 pair of hufs from 2015-17 but this year I have had zero interest in their shoes.
So because of my personal preferences, I’m bummed Huf has your best design award because they are the most vanilla shoe company out to me.
Cool that Tiago shoe is on there but while I have skated 3 dc Cups this year, they were the legacy reissue shoes , and I love all of them.
Legacy 98 slim is a top notch classic cupsole skate shoe.
I have the 420, it’s really cool that it’s slim and snug but doesn’t feel like an over tight shoe the way Huf’s always did to me. It skates legit and just feels good.
The Nike Nyjah is fucking gross lol.
Straye Venice would get my vote for best board feel.
For a cheap shoe, it’s comfy and needed zero break in time.
I’ve been annoyed all year with all the TNT vans shoe coverage since he beats up his wife and kid and is an all around piece of shit.

The Clive is made for people suffering from “cankles”, so it should be popular here on Slap. Unfortunately my ankles are only of normal size. :'(
-
Figgy Dose should be on the list - best comfort imo
-
i would disagree, and this list seems a little too nyjah heavy, did anyone outside of weartested even skate those shoes?

Gross as in ugly or bad shoes? I’d actually try em if I wasn’t sending Nyjah money by doing so, or for that matter, if they weren’t associated to him...
I hate the boardfeel of my Strayes, hard to believe you think its the best of the year. Stiff as hell all around; I don’t even wear them to walk around anymore. Only positive is the insole. I also feel like some cupsoles are coming out thin enough nowadays that I’m avoiding vulcs when looking for boardfeel and comfort.
Ditto on the fatty w/ toned legs thing tho lol

Just got the shoes, it is indeed a step above the first shoe.

I just meant like gross/ugly.
I had a lot of good shoes this year, but the strayes were just simple vulcs that I just really enjoy skating which is kinda rare.
I didn’t really like any other vulcs this year besides That straye, I was mostly buying cupsole.
Once the legacy 98 slim gets broken in, that one has great board feel and shape retention for me.
