Title: family guy of gay jokes?

seems a bit disingenuous considering the amount of racist, mysoginistic, handicapped jokes they have on the show. are certain subjects of limits? either everything is ok to laugh at or nothing is

I've never had cable since I moved out of my parents house at 17. Ever. I don't need it because sports never appealed to me. I'm resourceful enough to watch what I want without having to pay for a service.

I think they don't need gay jokes on family guy because the shock value has worn off over the years.

They have American Dad and Roger/Stan/Steve/Snot for joking about it without it being too forced.

My question is how do you "phase out" gay jokes? Just stop making the jokes! You don't have to ween off like a drug

Watched FG on shrooms once and have not watched it since. I realized how violent the transitions were, and assumed that they must be doing some subtle, cumulative damage to my psyche as I watched. IDK, try watching that show on shrooms and tell me it's not brutal.

You should try those mission impossible movies on shrooms or acid, Peter, I just about pissed my pants with laughter

southpark was always way too loud and obnoxious for me. too much dirty cheapish problem-child humor. and the attempt to enhance this with pseudo-intelligent real time political satire moments to give it an upmarket touch has always felt artificial and fake to me.
and at my current age i am also quite a bit disgusted by those of my acquaintances who obviously got stuck on weed big time and still use southpark as their only source of education in their mit 30s and claim to be able to take part in a discourse.

family guy also has its flaws, but it has always felt much more sophisticated and dignified to me.

I always just assumed he was gay.  I saw his live show at an outdoor arena last summer.  Very entertaining.  He did a bunch of the voices, sang several songs, told jokes and stories.  This venue is awesome b/c it's in a state park so you can bring your own food and booze.  Not like a typical concert where a beer is like $10.

That part in Gay's Pals questions, where he talked about how McFarlane caused a bunch of drama in the LA gay choir scene, was really funny. Something like he only wanted young twinks to sing with him for some awards show, and the older members got really mad.

Southpark was good the first few seasons b/c it kind of shocking, then just became more of the same.

I used to love it, then lost interest with the repeated jokes style. Tried to start it again from the beginning recently and found it very dated.
