When I was in high school Rodney Jones’ dad lived next door. Used to get completes for like $40 or weed when Rodney was in town. Powell decks, venture’s, bones wheels and Swiss. Jaded me to product pricing even still.

A few years ago I made a thread on here about moving to Philly and DGKalis said to just show up at Muni and that the locals would be nice etc. Flash forward three months later, first time I show up to Muni Kalis is there and was nice as hell. Even posted about it on here later. A man of his word.

Another time I wrote a long post/essay about Dane Brady's part in "I Like It Here..." that Pontus ended up putting on the Polar website/instagram resulting in Dane's mom adding me on there and we DM'ed a bit. I got a private pic of Bruce the dog which was a score in my book.

SLAP giveth.

I had to wait in the other room while Andy Howell and Jeff Pang were having a meeting about some bullshit. I think that was during the Underworld Element days. I was like 15 and thought they sounded like actual business men. I’d probably laugh at them now that in my 40s and sit in meetings about way lamer business bullshit all the time.

Seen dan murphy at a few parks, mutual eye contact interest, no words spoken, fed his dog bologne once, Ill say wassup nextime dude

Prepared mike sinclaires breakfast, looked at his phone in avoidance the whole time, no words spoken, he skin is pink as hell like a piglet though

Some other industry nike guy at park, forget name, attempted to have friendly convo, asked for a box jokingly, wasnt into it, spent his time on phone with headphones, only rolling around the whole time, wheels did not leave ground, avoiding getting close to others, seemed like a akward dude

Volcom signing, 8 years old, geoff rowley asked me a question twice because I could understand his accent, still couldnt understand and just said "yeah", he looked at me like a dumbass

Same signing, appleyard had a such a friendly welcoming smile, beautiful

I know where 9th wonder lives, friends had a cool conversation about music with him, I wasnt there

Jake Phelps laughed at my passed out friend at a Black Box event. This was about 2008 or 2009. My friend films but had been day drinking a little too much. Got a little comfortable leaning against a quarter pipe getting an angle and ended up passing out holding his camera. Jake Phelps walks by and stands in front of us for a moment and laughs his ass off. He walks away and comes back with Jamie Thomas. I was laughing too because even though he was passed out, he managed to get some good clips.

I'm assuming he was there on an iPath tour because if I remember right it was also K Reed and Quim Cardona chillin there. I was probably 19 at the time and very drunk so it's not a vivid memory but I remember sitting in the backyard with them and Freddy seemed real mellow. While in Portland he did the gnarliest dump truck off a billboard into a janky miniramp (the photo was in some mag, maybe someone here can remember this.)

The Muska - some random kid asked him what do keep in your stash pocket. “Weed.” 14 year old me thought that was awesome.

PRod - 14 year old Paul does nollie heelflip noselide nollie flip out in front of me at el camino. So sick. 14 year old me? Mind blown.

Elissa Steamer - drunk as fuck at McDonalds on sunset and vine at 2:45am. She was loud and kinda annoying but in a great/memorable way.

JCassanova - LAX with a stack of boards hopping a flight. Two weeks later he was being interviewed on Ventura Blvd, saw him as I was driving by

Flacco - he was 12 when I first started doing going to pedlow. He’d do 10 kickflips then 10 heelflips 10 nollie flips 10 nollie heels etc. he’d vibe lots of people/he was the best kid at pedlow

JDubs - skated pedlow. Never landed one trick.

Curren Caples - 12 and blasting higher than anyone at pedlow. Never saw him again.

T.A. - skated up to me at pedlow and told me how much he “loves this park. especially when the suns setting and there’s no shadows.” He was boardsliding the flat bar without popping onto it just lifting and lapping it over. He landed 3 long ass ones then 4th try he doesn’t lift high enough and slams harder than any 49 year old man I’d ever seen in my life. He didn’t really come back after that but was there all the time before.

AVE - saw him at a nofx show. We were at the bar told him his mindfield part was sick and he “pffffffffft  ::)”

JWray - same show same bar two seconds later. Just said what up after being vibed by AVE. Super nice guy.

The Boss - I went to PRod park at 8am after getting it in with a chick that lived near by. I was skating alone, he rolled up and did the most beautiful kickflip I’d ever seen. You could hear his foot drag for what sounded like forever. Perfect flick perfect catch and it was like 3ft high. That day 29 year old me was kickflipping like 14 year old me before 2 broke ankles. I was so stoked.

Dressen - I was at supreme waiting outside for my trendy friends to come out. I look to my right and this dude is smoking. I think to myself this short guy looks like Eric Dressen. His epicly laterd comes out the following day with the tattoo shop intro.

Heath - bartending at black. I knew he did that but seeing it in person was gnarly. Slanging drinks like me. Normal life shit. I wonder if I bartend better than Heath.

Seeing all the pros at black and how short some are in real life. Low center of gravity helps in skating for sure.

Yes...

Just looked and I must have deleted it as I was kook'd pretty hard, but I was living in Berlin and ran in to Lance Mountain who was walking around my neighbourhood. He was mostly looking up at the sky and I was sort of shocked to see a skateboard legend walking around alone so I blurted out something like "Lance Mountain! Hey, have a nice day, man" and he said something like "Thanks, you too!"

v cool. I think I created a thread just for that.

Pretty sure I also let him ride my boards for his first time as well.

He got into skating and came asking for skatevideos literally every two days.

Took a road trip to Philly with some friends in 2001 and ended up skating at Temple by ourselves. Midway through the session, Kerry Getz and 2 other dudes show up to skate and we all ended up skating together for like 45 minutes before we got the boot.  We had just arrived in Philly and he was the first pro i saw "out in the wild".  He did a crazy long nose manual on this winding ledge like it was no problem.  Saw him later skating at City Hall and it was packed w/ people skating, but he ended up saying what's up to me and my friends and talking for a second.

During the same trip, we were skating at Love and Fred Gall came flying through the plaza and did a long ass noseblunt powerslide on the ground for like 10+ feet. It was fucking rad!  One of the best trips I ever took.

My buddy in LA used to live in the same complex as Cyril so they kicked it pretty regularly. Went to visit and got to have a few beers with them at their apartment pool cool guy. Later we got back from the bars and were having a mellow late night and he just walked in and asked to borrow a lighter, came back 10 minutes later to return the lighter and brought a couple Shake Junt shirts. Next morning I was out on the balcony and the Skate Tank rolled up to pick him up and got a Beagle and T-Funk sighting.

I grew up in the same area as Jake Johnson, met him a couple years ago at this indoor like an hour away and have skated him him quite a few times since then. Dudes super nice and invited me to come skate his ramp once it's nice out.

Also back in like 2012 a little after hurricane sandy I was staying at my friends in New York, we went to this indoor in Long Island and that Franky Spears kid was there. He was super young and he came into the shop area screaming about how he got his 3rd iphone stolen from there, told the dude working to fuck off, stomped his board and took a dgk off the wall. It was pretty funny

Similar story kinda. I saw Chet Childress at a party in denver a few years ago at a backyard bowl. He didnt really talk to anyone besides the dude who's house it was. they had some bands playing there and they cops came to shut it down and instead of stopping the music the band that was on stopped mid song and started playing cop killer instead.

Ended up at Hooters in downtown LA at the same time as Theotis Beasley.  Watched him from a distance, trying to not make eye contact while hiding behind my wings.

Let Guy Mariano use my phone to film Antonio Durao at LA High School for about an hour.  Every time I got a text message, he'd come over and let me know so that I could respond.  Thanks Guy!

One time I was helping Chewy hail a cab and proceeded to kick the doors of any cabs that didnt stop, he gave me his low key facebook but i forgot the name he said it was down as and said if im ever in London to stop by and I can stay at his! probably fake but i probably wont ever make it London so im not bothered!

At a pretty sweet premier Guy asked if i had any weed and i bloody left it at home, missed my chance to kick it with guy! did have a good chat for a bit though

Smoked weed with spencer f.  We were talkin about lovechild and he asked me what my fave vid was and i told him thrill of it all and he said immedeatly, "i aint mad atcha".  Smoked weed with Todd Jordan and his buddy who were cool but Reda was stone faced, wouldnt take the weed pipe and wouldnt even look at me.  Steve Berra texted my skate buddy the other day.  I bought heroin from an old pro whos model i had as a kid.  Met chris senn in vancouver when he was visiting, his gf lived there. Met Quim and Lance when they were addias.  Quim  seemed like he was on mushrooms or somthing and he was amped and Lance was hating his life. Bro'd down with Clyde - hes a good person.   One year inside the pne at slamcityjam my crew was sitting right behind   Ellissa, temp, temps wife, mallondo, and Kareem and maybe others too. They got completely enveloped in 2nd weed smoke cause we had ounces of weed.  Really fun to be seated chuffin weed watching the classic era dudes on the street course.  We politely asked them to stop smoking cigerettes which fucking pissed Mallondo off but Ellisa actually made them obide.  I was talking to Ellisa (trust me she was a stone cold babe back then if you met her in person) and i was trying to make time with her but Mallondo was a foot away grimacing.  Oh yah temps wife told me that Ed would "kill me" if I knocked over his camera equipment.

Both TK accounts follow my insta

I've eaten lunch with Nora

Jkjhnsn has good dance moves and can pull some tail. Witnessed it first hand

Memorable props I've gotten for landed tricks: Matt Miller, Sean Conover, Ryan Reyes, Steve Cab, and Muska

I've witnessed Andy Macdonald once trash on some older guy learning to skate the same bowl as him. Something like "go over to the small quarterpipes or skate street. We I don't have time for this". I then said I had no problem with him learning and even offered my turns for him to drop in/pump around. Fuck yellow helmet

Many years ago at that same park Ninejah got pissed cause he wouldn't land a never ending line first try and then got pissed at me cause I got in his way his second try at that line. Landed my trick though and proceeded to laugh at that jock

I cannon balled the stair set at my local park with jaws once and got a picture with him and he said “let’s mallgrab like people do at kooky mall shops.” It was a demo held by a kooky mall shop and the manager of the store was standing right there.

At the same demo I probably talked to Kenny reed for 10 minutes and had no idea. I thought he was a tm or something. He gave me stickers and I didn’t even ask. When I asked his name I was blown away, one of the nicest pros I’ve ever met.

Mostly skate solo but watching these dudes throughout life do there thing at spots or parks first hand motivated me to skate harder.

Mike Mo made me change my number because I was an absolute fucktard of a teenager.

11 years ago, I got Mike Mo's number from a friend who dated him while hammered. I called him and said something like "Guy is better! You're garbage!". He was at a party and was laughing the entire time, saying "Yeah, you're absolutely right!".

Fast forward 8 hours. I wake up, super hungover and my phone is dead. I plug it in to charge, it powers on and it was like an apocalypse of hate calls and text messages. Right when I powered my phone on and got signal, it was ringing non-stop from tons of random numbers.

This lasted for almost 48 hours. Finally, I caved, called my service provider and had my number changed.

It turns out that while he was at said party, he posted my number onto his Myspace page, with the text "CALL THIS NUMBER OVER AND OVER". Well played, Mike Mo, well played.

pretty canadian, but Andrew Gordon slept over at my mom's house cuz the train didnt go back to his burb past a certain time

Fred Gall gave my friend and i a huge hash joint(i was pretty broke at the time, so i was extra stoked), then later on snuck up on me and pretended to rob me(told that one before)

Moses Itkonen got pissed at me over email over some article i didnt have anything to do with

I brought Russ Milligan to my my mom's family's butcher shop to grab wings cuz we happened to be skating around there. i dont know him, so it was kinda funny/skate geeky to me(im a pretty big fan). years later he moved into the area and came in, but i dont think he remembered me

saw Atiba on my old street in the passenger seat of a car, so i said "Atiba!" and he looked scared as fuck. like when lenny gives mr burns the thumbs up outside the isotopes game.

this one is my friends, but i always liked it for some reason. he saw danny garcia and told him "he was fuckin up" cuz he was wearing a canadian tuxedo(all denim, baby)

chico and jeron sold us theyre old and unneeded shit in barcelona after my friend's and my setup got confiscated. i had been before, so i was the de facto guide and kinda led my homies astray my accident. hobbled up to parallel in the rain and found them there. told me to meet them later at macba and they stayed true to their words. i already respected them, but they saved my ass and couldnt have been nicer. i guess you dont have a long career by being an asshole. I ended up buying chico's setup and i swear it had some left over juice in it. felt like i was skating way better on it for the first day at least. placebos can be powerful

sold weed to both decenzos on separate occasions. for some reason i didnt peg ryan as a smoker. also to stevie perez and andrew wk. i dont know why, but i think i ended up giving it to andrew wk. im not a fan of his music, but it was a tiny amount and he seemed really positive or something.

this is like an anti name drop, but the story is kinda funny. my girlfriend and i listened/listen to a lot of mac demarco, so we were debating going to a show of his that was maybe about 30 mins away from the house. a little before the concert my roommate let us know it had been moved to a venue down the street that was like a 5 minute or less walk away. we were still being kinda bitches about it and didnt really wanna leave the house. a little later, my roommate came down to our room again and let us know mac was outside chilling on the porch with them. i think the gf and i were watching something or were having a good convo or whatever and didnt end up going up to meet him at all. kinda regretted it, but wasnt really bothered. ended up meeting him briefly another time and he seemed like a nice dude.

my gf's cousin got us good seats for the celeb all star game when it was in toronto, which was way more casual/under secured than i expected. we were behind the courtside seats, so we hopped the hockey boards and lurked the floor for a bit after the game. gave paul george the bro shake and said whats up to him. he was nice about it. we watched it on the tv after and you can slightly see my gf trying to film the post game interviews, while she was supposed to be at work... luckily none of them watched ball, let alone the damn celebrity all star game

these are getting more and more random as i go

Just by proxy, I grew up being able to film some pros in Southern California. Lewis Marnell and Rob G were standouts for sure.

But my favorite thing that happened is I was filming a ton with Chris Gregson back in the day and filmed some stuff for the Birdhouse "The Beginning" video of Figgy, Dickson and others (I know that video blows, but I'd like to think the tricks I filmed were decent), and when we went to the premiere in LA, we had a hotel room for the night that Tony Hawk paid for. I remember taking a photo of the TV screen that showed the account under "Hawk, T" and going back to my college friends and thinking I was pretty cool.

My first time skating in BC I somehow ended up staying with colin McKay and later rick Howard. This was while they were filming for virtual reality, which is fuckin insane to think about now. We kept in touch up till maybe 10 years ago or so. Colin is fucked. Rick is rick, one of the best people ever. I also met Mike Carroll through rick and hes def. One huge asshole.

Before appleyard got on flip I skated with him alot. I was already on my downswing but holy fuck was he destined for greatness. Watching him nollie flip crooks everything at maybe age 15 was insane. Still talk to him once in awhile.

Jeremy wray is awesome! Skated with him and pat shortly after shs came out and pat is probably the most underrated rail skater ever(probanly because his parts had no rails in em lol)

No idea how we met??? But drake Jones and I have been good friends for along fuckin time. Hes the best dood out of any pro I've ever met. Calls every week just to see what's new.  Hes also introduced me to Mike york about 4 years ago and Mike is a really awesome guy too.

Lots of canadian skaters I'm still friends with, or was friends with.

I also skated with Tom penny in some random arena and I dont even remember where it was? Some of the footy was in a 411 i think? The awkwardly amazing switch tre on flat, switch back lip on this rediculous small pyramid thing that was damn near impossible to skate. That was easily the funnest skating I've ever watched. Tom in his prime, having fun and just doing everything.  His flatground at that time, was unfuckwithable and it's so weird because you never seen any of these tricks in videos. He did inward heels that looked amazing, proper hardflips waaaay before proper ones even existed, switch frontside heels. It was just weird because you never seen anything like that from him. Anyways I fanned out and only skated about half the time. But the highlight was him and I doing pressure flips at the end of the session trying to one up each other and he obviously destroyed me but that was really cool

Here is a weird one. My mom lived in this weird backyard apartment thing in Berkeley slash Oakland. I moved in with her and found an old box behind the house. Turns out the last person to live there was Ricky Espinoza. My mom got in touch with him somehow to see if he wanted it still and he didn't care so I gave that thing some love, it wasn't level so I cut down one side of it and made it an upledge. Super fun.

On a related note that house was right down the street from the house vid house, I didn't realize it till kind of too late. Probably not a good crew for a 17 year old to hang out with anyways

When baker boys came to Atlanta I sold them weed, gave them way too good of deals because I was a 19 year old and was just stoked about the situation. Figgy bought alot. Had to go meet up with the other van so I could sell some to slash, got a ride to this bar and sold him a sack, it was a really fast transaction and they were like dude we have been waiting on you, kinda made me feel like I was holding up the whole crew. Didn't realize it would be like that, my ride had just dropped me off, ended up having to walk really far to get home and pondered the whole way. Ended up drinking with some of the crew later, puked all over myself after accidentally taking a sip of a beer with a bunch of cigarettes put out in it. My friends were asshole about it but lizard king and nuge thought I was tight and kept saying I was classic

Karma Tsocheff taught us how to skate every Friday after school, "the gut" was there and hes always been a dick

Caswell bet me 3 dollars to ollie over this channel next try , didnt make it

Met Ishod at 3rd and army a couple of weeks before he was announced as Am on real, thought he had a funny name but he kickflipped the rock gap no problem, you could see he was going to be amazing

accidentally told Chris Senn to go back to hawaii in which i thought was a loving manner then he almost ran over to beat my ass

Saw Tyshawn 180 over a garbage can with the Gonz watching, met the Gonz in soho while i was working and he filmed me with this 2001 video camera and i said my name and that youre watching the gonz youtube channel

Strobeck and Olson blocked me from my throwaway account on insta because i talked too much shit on the SF supreme video

Met all of those guys at the cherry premiere, have a picture with Olson and Mic-E

Phelps yelled at me once, "just because you can do tres up the euro doesnt mean were friends!!" he also met my dad and i once and shook my dads hand like a normal adult and thats when i learned phelps is a good dude

i got BA's old deck one time from mission skateshop and cut it up into a gift for my girlfriend before i realized when i saw it on his epicly laterd, fucked up . Also met him once and asked him if it was weird to see himself in Thrasher , he was looking at the issue where he talks about his tattoos. He said he got used to it, really nice guy .

rip phelper

oh shit just remembered worse one, one time I was in Cals pharmacy (whichever is the nicer shop in portland)
I had just seen dane bradys part in the polar video i like it here and I fanned the fuck out super loudly quoting the part and raving over his style and trick selection while Dane Brady sat behind the counter hearing the whole thing alone in the store with my friend and I. Right after I kinda clowned him for being on the computer all day doing nothing without nothing it was him, my friend still makes fun of me for that til this day.

My friend took me to skate the baker boys park one day close to two years ago(?) and the god Tk was there trying to cab the 6 stair for close to an hour while listening to this song on repeat the entire time.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU3p6mz-uxU
about 10 or so minutes into his session he stopped and asked everyone in the park(Kirby, Slash, Shane Heyl, Ryder Mclaughlin, and myself (who he'd just met), if they were okay with him playing that song on repeat while he tried to cab the stair to which everyone responded that they didn't care. So very courteous and Shalom of him.
Later that day Reynolds and Stella showed up, met him and watched Stella kickflip off of the platform the 6 stair and vert wall thing are attached to.

Another, shorter TK story: Showed up to Lanark skatepark once and noticed TK was on that other side of the park skating the handrail. I roll around for maybe the next five minutes and maybe grind the ledge or flatbar once or twice, I'm totally out of view of Terry or at least not doing or wearing anything noticeable at the time. He walks over towards my side of the park to leave, tells just about everyone he comes into contact with they were killing it out there, and then leaves.

Was coworkers with Nick Mclouth for a little while.

Chris Gregson called me a legend from across the skatepark after i did a poorly executed sloppy on this weird planter there.

Used to pick up Caleb Barnett from his job selling sports memorabilia at a mall to go skate when he was first getting flowed hockey stuff.

Sold Forest Whitaker some marlboro lights at my last job.

Talked about how much we dislike the baker b16 shape with Lizard King a few weeks back at el sereno. Much mellower dude that I would've imagined.

Much mellower dude that I would've imagined.

yoo i miss mclouth

I've witnessed Andy Macdonald once trash on some older guy learning to skate the same bowl as him. Something like "go over to the small quarterpipes or skate street. We I don't have time for this". I then said I had no problem with him learning and even offered my turns for him to drop in/pump around. Fuck yellow helmet

My bestfriend since middle school is a pro scooter rider now and he gets invited to guest pro at woodward every summer. We live like 30 minutes away so he will take me with sometimes and we just claim i'm his filmer so I can sesh also. Last summer I went with him and was skating the newest concrete bowl, mid line I look up and see Andy Mac blasting some big ass transfer and almost landed on me. He said some stupid shit to me also....
also since you all are probably going to shit talk me for being friends with a scooter rider
*edit to say that he still skates, and probably is better on a mini than any of us

I got tacos after the sesh and was waiting in line and the person behind me in line patted my back.
I turned around and it was Andrew Reynolds and he said "Oh sorry, there was some leaves on your shirt"
I turned back around and was stupid starstruck and probably had the dumbest look on my face

Met Malto on the Pretty Sweet tour. It was right after his truck snapped in a street league contest. Made some joke about it and he got super defensive like "it wasn't thunder's fault okay?"

Tyler Surrey was kind enough to let my film a line of him on my shitty gopro at Shockus park before I had any sense of how lame that was. Nice as could be though.

Lizard King rolled up in his truck when I was filming my friend's ender for our local homie video. Flipped around just to tell us he always wanted to grind that rail but never got around to it and was stoked someone else was getting it.

I saw Lacey Baker and while I was debating saying whatup I read one of her tattoos that says “PLEASE DONT” so i didn’t

If we’re answering this thread seriously, other than seeing Lacey

I’ve met Gonz, Suciu, Zerred, AO, Tyshawn, Nakel, maybe more just in the streets in NY. Ed Templeton in a vegan place in NY was one of the more unexpected ones, he was actually down to talk the most. All of the above were cool and chill.

I’ve met a lot of skate and non-skate celebrities but the only ones that actually fucked me and I had to refrain from fangirling were Andrew Reynolds and Dave Chappelle.

I didn’t really even meet the Boss. I’ll only say what up if I have something worth saying or if we’re like, standing right next to each other. I passed by Reynolds and left it at a head nod. I figured this was better than me accosting him to say “deeeeer... I like your kickflips” and then cringing at that memory until i killed myself.

I was leaving a bar in Philly and Nick Merlino made fun of my bicycle, but I didn't really give a shit because why would I care that someone didn't like my bicycle. One year later I am in an uber in Margate, NJ pretty drunk and some how it comes up that I skateboard and the uber driver explains to me that he's Nick Merlino's Dad. I mentioned that he doesn't seem like the kind of guy that likes bicycles and his dad was like, "No, no bikes, always skateboards."

One time I was out in front of that same bar in Philly like a year or so earlier and Ishod was saying hi to all these people I was near and then gave me daps and like a handshake hug. He was super nice and came right up to me like he's known me forever, but has probably maybe seen me at a skatepark or something here and there (Also I am pretty ordinary looking). Then he was like wait how do I know you. I was wasted so I jokingly say, "Oh you probably recognize me from the Catholic Star Herald from 5 years ago." Important disclaimer: My senior year of highschool there was this fundraiser/charity that I helped with and I guess at sometime my picture got taken and a picture of just me got put in the Catholic Star Herald. I would never of known about this picture if the catholic star heralds target demographic wasn't Irish Catholic Grandmothers in their 90s, because my Grandma saw it and went nuts. She called to get more copies and cut out the picture of me and sent it to my parents and a bunch of my aunts and uncles and stuff. It didn't even say my name under the picture, it was impressive she knew it was me. Long story short, Ishod is not an Irish Catholic woman in his 90's so he did not get the joke. He just kind of stared at me confused. One girl from the group of people he said hi to thought it was hilarious but none of my friends laughed at it besides that.

I was at nocturnal once and this little kid that skates (maybe 12-13 at the time) was cursing a ton and Kevin Taylor pulled the kid aside gave him a little talk were he was out of earshot of everyone. I was looking at boards and I over heard KT give him like a nice talk about he doesn't need to talk like that and stuff. It wasn't scolding but it had a sick thoughtful dad like vibe, it was pretty rad.

I figured I'd toss in these from the Awkward (but not bad) Pro Encounters thread.

Grew up with Peter Ramondetta and Ernie Torres. They were a generation ahead of me and used to talk shit on our crew.

Watched grim versions of Kyle walker and Clint walker come up.

My friend screamed at Ron Perlman recently. We walked out of a bar and Ron was leaning on my friends car. It was hilarious. Homie was like “excuse me sir, but do you mind fucking off away from my car?” And then homie crumbled into an embarrassing apologetic dick sucker.  Ron was reasonable and posed for a pic.

Michael Pitt came into my bar recently. Got to tell him his performance in Funny Games ruined my life. Nice boy.

Jim Gaffigan was in town recently and we closed a bar down and clowned on my friend the whole night.

forgot this one.
my friend and I went for late night mcdonalds and saw Terrence Howard from that movie hustle and flow there. he was fuckin bent because the person doing cash ended up grabbing his fries and putting them in the bag. he paid on card, but i guess the dude still had to key it in by touching the register. he was kinda grumbling to no one, but was also sorta trying to get us to see his point and agree. which i sorta did, but i hate when people are rude to fast food employees, so i just kinda shrugged at him

this ones pretty far removed, so take with a grain of salt, but i like it too much. a friend of a friend of mine was a young child and happened to be at work with his dad who was some kind of movie producer big shot. the kid found a fruit cup and ate it without really thinking twice. apparently a little later on an irate woody harrelson comes in yelling, demanding to know who the fuck ate his fruit cup. no one ratted on the kid and i assume woody is still a little mad about it to this day... again, this ones hard to confirm, but i find it hilarious

One of my good friend's dad used to be a relatively big name in production around the 90's early 2000. She invited me to a dinner where Harvey Weinstein was also invited. He came to our table to talk to her dad after the dinner and was being a bit creepy to her in front of her family, commenting on her hair etc... nothing too crazy. I thought it was weird but everyone seemed to be laughing it off, blaming alcohol once he left the table. On the drive back her dad said something in the line of "one day he's gonna get in trouble for acting like that".

Daan's hometown is pretty close to where I grew up. So I would occasionally see him skate at the local skatepark or street spot.

He's only like 6 months older than me. First time I saw him I was 8 and going to a skatepark for the first time and he was already boardsliding the biggest handrails in the park.

Went to a go skate day/wild in the streets event at skatepark of Tampa in 2010 that the emerica team was at. Took a break from skating in jumped in the bed of a chase truck and Reynolds also jumped in. Got to shoot the shit about Lakeland for a few mins. Later that day, the team was skating the old bro bowl and templeton was chilling by himself so I went up and chatted. He ended up drawing some cool toy machine esq doodle on my emerica backpack. Still have it.

Run into lance Conklin from time to time and we’ll talk about tattoo shit. He also cane into an old job of mine and stared at the case of cheesecake slices for a couple mins before bouncing because we stopped serving desert already.

Kelly heart drunkenly FaceTimed me a couple weeks ago.

Had the whole Hoon crew invade my local park once.  They were calling all the little kids at the park cunts and saying hilarious stuff like "outta the way cunt" as they were charging through the park.  They were so good that all the kids naturally stopped skating to watch.  As they landed tricks, they would hi-five and say "that was straight filth, cunt!"  Never heard such gratuitous use of the C word and I loved every minute of it.  Australian's rule.

Mark Nardelli rules. I helped him when I was working at the Genius Bar. After that he would always say what’s up when I saw him at LES. When I was helping he showed me some 5boro graphics they were working on. It was my shinning Genius Bar moment.

Me too, it was within 2 weeks or so ago, and he liked or commented on maybe a month old post. I was on the fence with it being possibly genuine or it being the lutzka bot thing.

Can we find out about the "liking-app" or whatever the fuck you would call it? Surely it can't be hidden from the public. Is it really a bot? It's hard to imagine a pro-skater using such technology. I want to know what it is.

I would skate with Travis Stenger anytime dude came into Edmonton from Leduc 1997-2000, which was quite frequently. Even in those early days of just skating without cameras in our early/mid teens everyone could tell that he was a rare and special talent. I quit skating in 2001 and lost touch with everyone ;( Fast forward 15 years later to my midlife crisis I'm back doing it (since 2016), and it is nice to see his name being dropped here and there. Not only was he inspiring to watch skate but he was also the nicest / most level headed guy in our crew, IMO. I miss those days. Shout out to anyone lurking / reading this who skated in Edmonton late 90s... Ed's Shed forever :)

And that just sparked a memory of skating Ed's Shed park with just a few dudes in there, one was Paul Machnau. I did a varial flip over the table top and he approached me with some words of encouragement/praise for a youngster. It was a cool moment I haven't forgotten. :)

Saw gonz in Chinatown walking and drawing on an iPad. He looked up and saw my eyes widen and just said hi. Ran into BA in New York a few times, always said what’s up and he’d always politely respond. Talked to tyshawn way before cherry came out when he was still pretty small when we were walking off the same train. Ate at the same hibachi restaurant as tony hawk in like 1997. Went to high school/skated a few times with Austin Amelio (walking dead) who is actually a pretty solid skater.

Aaron yant was the only person that had a gold membership at the skatepark I worked at before he moved to California. I taught him how to kickflip the right way. Made a crazy amount of progress in a really short amount of time

Matt Tomasello used to live the town over from me and I’ve skated with him a few times, really cool guy.

Rolled up on this spot once and nick dompirere was there trying some gnarly shit, it was my eighteenth birthday and he gave me his board.

I see westgate at the local indoor every other week or so, he’s really quiet. He’s also shorter than me which blows my mind because I’m like 5’6. I also work with a dude who used to work on his bog.

I have Jeff Grossos phone number but don’t remember how.

Think I skated my local park with Fritz Mead in his prime when I was a teenager, he follows me in Instagram so I’m guessing that was him.

Rob that runs Lowcard gave me a bunch of shit and told me I was very important once

Drank a bottle of jager with that Elijah dude that skates for vagrant.

My dad knows Fred Smith

Pops dm’d me about a vert ramp on here once

Saw bam margera once but didn’t talk to him because he was fat

Had a conversation about gg allin and sucide hotlines with nakel after an earl sweatshirt show.

Apparently Eric pupeki used to live not that far from me

I had a roommate who claimed his girlfriend banged tony hawk.

I think that’s it.

Bought my first pair of Indy’s off Donny Barley back when he had a shop in town, he said he’d do a demo at my middle school and never emailed me back.

Me Kootz and gurneys cream prank texted Phelps a few times (RIP)

I had stickered over his name so felt kind of awkward but he was cool. Later he gave me props on a bs boardslide for some reason. He mostly skated flat and did some pretty high kickflips.

now this is a fucking story!!!!!

one time i entered a high ollie contest at my local park i was 15 and decided to wear this striped purple button up.
Corey Duffel was judging it, and afterwards he came up to me and told me i had a sick shirt.
it was a stupid looking shirt, but i've always like Corey since then for encouraging me to wear different shit.

What was Fritz like?? he rips hard now so prime skating im curious

also dope person to get your first indys from

Mike "Wing Ding" Cao is from my hometown and he came back to visit family back in the mid-ish 90's. We had a ton of mutual friends so we all got up to skate a few times while he was here. We were sitting around one night in this parking lot and got to talking about his "Let the horns blow" part. I brought up that manual he does on that tall ledge and how it couldn't have really been that high, so he goes and pulls out a newspaper box (you put change in and open it up to get the paper) and ollies it. It was insane.

Later these chicks show up and he goes to his car to change into his mackin' shoes and comes up to me and asks to borrow my copy of Let the horns blow because the girls didn't believe he was a pro skater. I straight up said no because I knew I'd never see that shit ever again. He asked if I'd at least make him a copy.

He spent the rest of the night leaning against his car and not skating because he didn't want to get sweaty for the chicks.

I remember he said hella' a lot, too.....like, to the point where you just wanted to tell him to shut the fuck up.

He was super nice though.

Asked Cody McEntire where the beer tent was at a contest in Vancouver, I had no idea who he was at the time.

Skated at Plaza with Spencer Hamilton a bunch and even got a clip in one of his Instagram videos.

Met Lance Mountain at a Flip demo. Super nice dude.

Skated Leeside tunnel with Eman, Josh Borden, Willis Kimbel, Rhino, Taylor Bingaman and Kevin Kowalski. Borden did a massive Back Disaster on the old wall and my buddy sold Willis some weed.

Smoked a joint with Tommy Sandoval after the Cold War premiere in Van.

One of the people you just mentioned, messaged me asking if I could help him get weed randomly when he was close to my city. I live like an hour from where he was tho so I wasn’t much help.
I tried to invite him to our local Go Skate Day event (which was that day) and said I’d bring weed to that, but I think he wanted to keep low key and was injured at the time so he didn’t show.

One time I commented on one of Ted Schmitz Instagram posts and he commented back and said something bout watching one of my skate parts and he thought it was cool.
I have had a huge man crush on him ever since.
This was a couple years ago and I was totally unaware that he had seen one of my videos.

A few people from my neighborhood that I skate with have somewhat made it into the industry. Aldrin "Ollie Champ" Garcia and Mark "Marky Numbers" McCoy (kind of) were am. Erick Winkowski is the only guy that went all the way though. This is the latest video they all got clips in. Aldrin has a full part that is pretty damn good. First part.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LQRXYHv-1Q

Tommy Sandoval has given me boards on three separate occasions and didn't remember me in any of those encounters.

Shuriken Shannon always hides when other skateboarders show up at spots. I've seen him do it like 10+ times. I always thought that was funny.

Lenny Rivas shows up at the neighborhood prefab skatepark with his son sometimes. Never skates.

I've delivered mail to Wes Kremer, Darren Naverette, and Chris Troy.

I've had breakfast with Auby Taylor. He told me how hyped he was on kratom and I rode with him in his Prius around Ocean Beach looking for some.

I bitched out on jumping down stairs in front of Rhino.

Nick Tucker offered me half of his super burrito.

I've had short conversations with Alexis Ramirez. He said "please" and "thank you" multiple times in every one of them.

Chris Dobstaff complimented me on a trick and then told me about how much he loves skateboarding.

Willy Santos told me about how important Filipino pride is to him.

Steve Borra invited me and the whole crew to the first or second Battle of the Berrics championship after everyone relentlessly made fun of him outside of a restaurant.

It's endless being in San Diego, but here's my favorite. I saw the guy that plays Kevin Malone in The Office walking the streets of downtown with two hot girls on either arm and another girl following behind them. Some real unexpected baller type shit. It wasn't like it was Comic-Con or some shit. It was like a random Wednesday night.

Met the zero team in 2003. My mom and I talked to Chris Cole after the demo. Dying to Live Tour Framingham MA.

Saw westgate pretty much come up at the Wareham Sk8shop when he got on 5boro. Dompierre, Westagte, and Shetler all skated there. Westgate also lives in the town over from me. My friend films with him a decent amount in Boston.

Zered was born/raised on Cape Cod MA. Legend around here for sure haha

talked to Grant Patterson a few times on insta. so rad

random but i think Josh Wilson used to summer on Cape Cod.

Kevin Coakley lives or has family on Cape. Recently helped redo finch skatepark in orleans.

Met PJ Ladds sister at a hospital in Boston. My dad was getting surgery and she said she would bring me some stickers. Never got any :( haha all good though. She said he was on tour with eS in Japan.

I knew a couple AM's but don't want to post their names.

Nate Sherwood is nice for a spazz. Gave him a soda let him use my phone because we had met a couple months later when he was with Willy Santos and they were chill as fuck. Nate wrote about us in Transworld.

Geoff Rowley gave my sister a pair of first shoe back in like 2000 at Triple Crown, the classics, brand new out of the Van's truck. Like an absolute great sister she is, she knew I was the one who actually skated and she had the balls to ask him if he would give her a 2nd pair in a size 6 for me and he did! I wasn't there when it happened but he signed them. She kept the shoes nice forever, I could only take it a few days, wore them to school skated them, nobody probably believed me but I didn't give a fuck. Everyone at that school had element boards and couldn't kickflip.

Heath sat with us for an hour or two and talked about anything at a demo, favorite pro so it was like meeting your hero but I kept it cool.

I'm sure I met plenty more because my cousins closest friends were all in the industry but I don't remember them all. I would be a kid and he was like 18 and would take me to parties, skating all over, introduce me to so many people. Got to meet filmers, ams, watch unreleased to this day footage of Lance Mountain filming a street part.

I would come back from these trips and my friends thought it was lies but it was the real deal holyfield that I'm glad I got to experience.

It might’ve been that same night earlier we skated a manual pad by Wild Birds Unlimited and he got a clip ended up in Toy Machine “Live!”, and I got bgps.

I grew up in the same area as Jon Dickson and frequently passed his house to and from my buddy’s place in their neighborhood. I feel like we all carpooled to Warp or some other skatepark a few times but my memory is pretty bad. I do remember hanging with him and some others while he was trying to do a trick at this one gap. Some friends of mine are close friends with him and they keep in touch and get hooked up with boards here and there. My older brother and Jon’s older brother were apparently best buds in high school and he’s told me some hilarious stories of the shit they would do. Saw Corey Glick a handful of times at a local park as he was also from the area.

I met Geoff Rowley, Chris Pfanner, and Mark Appleyard at a Volcolm demo tour when I was like 4 or 5, i saw Ishod, Austyn Gillette and Shane O'Neill skate flatground at Tompkins a year or two later. I talked to Strobeck on IG right after Blessed came out. When I was at the sick ass DIY park in Detroit Tony Hawk showed up outta nowhere and that was insane. He asked me if I knew how to get on top of the crazy cradle thing, which was funny as hell. Cool guy, gave some good advice and I got a pic for IG after. That's it for now.

Had dinner at this italian spot in Hollywood with my wife and her family recently. I think it's called "Pura Vita." Stefan Janoski and his wife were a few tables away. Everyone kept telling me to go say "hi" since they noticed how excited I got when I saw him. I didn't. I learned he's vegan and drives a Tesla. I also learned I don't have a poker face.

I used to drink beers with Jeff Lenoce every other weekend
Tony Vitello sent me some Hubba wheels when they started up and used to call up the local shop to chit chat. I became friends with his sister too, but we fell out of touch ages ago
Weston Correa gave me a board when I was a kid and now we sometimes meet up at the skatepark
Andy Dick and his son are the only people I’ve ever banned from my house. My roommates and I were friends with his ex-girlfriend and they’d always come over after the bar. Andy would always get too fucked up and cause a scene as the novelty wore off. I had to wake up for work at 5 am one time and he came in my room screaming at about 2:30 on maybe a Wednesday. That was the final straw. I guess it’s a really common thing for people in/around Hollywood

Met the whole skate rock crew back when they rolled through Memphis in like 2013? I can’t remember the year right now. Haven’t slept much lately. But, pretty much everyone was how I expected them to be except Figgy. He was an asshole and acted like he didn’t want to be there.

Daveed was friendly, Geoff Rowley is a fucking gentleman and a scholar, Andy Roy was actually very friendly as well. Same with Phelps. He asked my name and shouted “THANKS FOR HOSTING US. WE FUCKING LOVE THIS CITY!” And gave me a hug and signed my board.

GT was rad as well. I asked Andy if he was getting on antihero (this was like a few months before it happened) and he told me that he had been in Grant’s ear the whole trip.
Nuge was also super fucking cool. My homie had his circa combat pro models on and he was so stoked. You could see the genuine appreciation in his smile and hear it in his voice. He apologized for figgy being a dick as well.
Didn’t skate at all because it was a fucking hellscape, but it was so rad being in that environment. Definitely a highlight for 18 year old me.

This is not skate related but before I moved to Tennessee I lived in LA and one of my best friends was Henry Hopper. He lived with his mom but his dad Dennis would come hang out with him regularly. We visited his house one time and it was this crazy metal box on stilts. It was very minimal inside and I remember playing a Waterworld pinball machine (that movie had just come out.) One time he took us to a Nickelodeon Slime taping. We wanted to get slimed but he was like nah.

One time was skating a park in Melbourne with a few of my friends it was kinda busy so we were just hanging out sitting down. Then my friend was like “oh wtf Gareth stehr is skating the same board as me” then as we keep watching we realise that Gareth had just taken my friends board and started skating on it as if it was his own. When he said to him “um you are skating my board” Gareth replied back with “yeah you weren’t skating so I just thought I’ll go skate”.

We were all so confused by that.

When I was a kid my parents took me to Disney World and my little 5 year old punkass was too scared to get on the pirates of the Caribbean.

They took my dad and I out the backdoor and on the way out a bunch of security stopped us and told us we had to wait a second, some people are coming in this way. Michael Jackson and McCaulay Culkin walk up. A photographer takes a picture of us that ends in the Orlando paper the next morning.

Ride was shutdown for an hour with my Mom and brothers still in line, my Dad and I got ice cream.

Used to skate with Walker Ryan's old roommate in college, ended up meeting him and I somehow have his number.

Also stumbled upon the Sk8mafia crew just post-sesh at a highschool in SD. Was offered a joint. Kremer was reaaally cool, chatted me up a bit.

Talked to Tommy Sandoval about his kids at a Red Bull Triple Set event, he's a sweetheart. Side story, security didn't recognize TJ Rogers as he was coming into the media section and tried to stop him. Poor TJ.

The whole birdhouse team was in town at Denver skatepark randomly one day.  I think this was during the time they were filming for whatever their last video was hahah.
Birdhouse team is whatever to me, but I crossed by Jason Hernandez while skating and said what up to him and that I really liked his filming and videos.  He was stoked and real nice about it.

Ran into Don Vito when I was young while flying home back to Denver.  He was standing waiting to get on the plane while I was getting off (think it was flying back to PA).  Said what up Vito and he mumbled some jibberish.  Pretty sure he was in Denver for court after his sexual assaults' charges at the old X Games indoor skatepark in Colorado.  He was not in a good mood.

Just a few I can remember off the top of my head to share.

I skated with Phil Shao when I was like 13. He was trying a frontside flip over this little gap and couldn't make it, and being young and dumb, I figured I'd try the same trick. I made a *really shitty* frontside flip first try, and he gave me a look I'll never forget. I don't think I skated again for the rest of the day. First time, but not the last time, I would be kooked out

I hope these are all on point for the thread. If not, oh well. They're still funny.

One time we were in Tampa and Elissa needed a ride back to Fort Myers. Before we left Tampa we stopped at 7-11 for drinks. She didn't have her ID so I bought her rolling papers so she could twist one up in the backseat.

Another time in Tampa we showed up for the Pro contest. My friend had a bunch of Philly people staying over and Kalis happened to be out with us partying on night. At some point Kalis picked up a rose when we were leaving Ybor. On the drive home he was rubbing the rose on this girl's ear. She looked back at him and he said, "That feels dope, right?" She was a Philly girl and a bit of a hard ass so she just ignored him. We've called him Dope Right ever since. Love you DGKALIS.

Underworld Element was doing a demo in my hometown and Montessi was there. He had a nose blunt sequence in a Thrasher and I told him I really liked it. He didn't know the sequence was in the mag and was pretty surprised. He said, "Thanks." and was obviously kind of uncomfortable. This tour was with a bunch of World guys and the same one when Jovantae punched Berra in the face. I'm pretty sure it happened the next day. Also, I was straight edge at the time and had painted an X on my hat. Jovantae said he liked my hat and asked if it was for Malcolm X. I should have lied and said yes because I knew all about Malcolm at the time, but I just told him the truth. He was really nice. Julien was there and fucking killed it.

Billy Rohan took me with him to a Zoo demo in Clearwater once. I skated off in the corner by myself trying a frontside noseslide on a weird bump to ledge. Some kid asked me for my autograph and I told him I'm nobody, not sponsored, and just here with Billy. Jeff Pang properly ignored me the whole time.

I used to see Nick Dompierre before he was an am at the skatepark in Fairhaven, MA doing huge backside 360 grabs over the spine wearing some nice black leather Ipath Grasshoppers. Probably in 2001. That park got an overhaul somewhat recently, and it used to totally suck. Now it looks like it might still suck, just in a different way, but still better.

In the mid-late 2000's I saw Brandon Westgate at the park in Mattapoisett, MA doing the bench to bench gap, which looked pretty cool in person. He does a lot of things that look impossible.

I went to the Gravity Games in 2001 and got Bob Burnquist to sign a magazine ad.

I was in my 20s working at Whole Foods when the Emerica team rolled through, and I got stuck explaining to some very disappointed Spanish skaters who I didn't recognize why Whole Foods couldn't sell Nutella (preservatives). I think I was in a pretty bad mood because I just remember being super depressed that these guys were travelling the world in search of Nutella/Animal Chin, and I was going to go home to an apartment with five roommates and play Halo. I caught a glimpse of Reynolds, but this was before he went all Iron Man. I imagine he's at the Hollywood Whole Foods on a daily basis, now

A friend of mine almost fought Baby Schizo at the hot chocolate tour over a bum sign or something (you see it when everybody’s bombing around in the beginning). Apparently MJ said it was cool or something. Arty called Schizo on the cordless at Coliseum and gave it to my friend to try and stoke up a slap fight or something.

Baby Schizo, Marc Johnson, Arty the Greek. Holy trinity

I knew Curren Caples when he was a little skatepark kid at skatestreet. All the locals hated him because he thought he was better than you because he was sponsored by Termite. His dad gave off crazy skate coach vibes.

Jake Anderson got into a fight with my best friends brother when they were both like 10 years old.

Mike Anderson gave me an old krooked board of his once and was always super cool

I went to the premiere of Benny Magliano's skate video he made when he was like 18

I got swept in a game of SKATE in front of Guy Mariano at a demo right after Fully Flared came out

I saw Jesse Silvey at the Santa Barbara skatepark the other day

One time I was skating "a" skate park and Brian Patch with Andy Roy came by and they told me that I was "doing good". They said they were waiting for 10/10 (whomever that is), DLoy and Chase Webby to come by and shred. I told them that they had just missed them and they left with Nyjah and Berra.

Nobody outside of wherever you’re writing this from  has ever heard of “baby schizo”. It has as much gravitas as me saying I once skated with Donny Bongo.

Adidas team came down to Swansea twice, first time was just Alec Majerus and Blondey Mccoy. For Swansea it's nuts when pros come down and I think the last time anything as big as it was when eS came to Cwmdu park (I wasn't around to witness that event).

Alec absolutely killed the park and was a proper sound kid to hang out with. He got pretty drunk with us at this venue in Swansea and there exists two funny photos of him with all of us in said place. I do not remember the photos being taken ha. Blondey was pretty chill, but I don't really remember speaking with him much to be honest.

Will Harmon was down with them and got to chat with him after the demo, proper good egg.

2nd time was a bigger crew when they came down; Jake Donnelly, Jamal Smith, Silas, Neils Bennett, Chewy and Benny.

Jamal noticed my Sabo tee and we got talking about his music and Philly. All around good egg and it was a blast watching him skate mini, such a cool style. Jake was trying a fs flip over this concrete bollard out of a popped up drain and the ground kept stopping him unfortunately, gave him props after it and he was super chill.

Chewy and Benny are proper safe as well.

I wish Fred Gall happy birthday on Insta the other day when I was smashed and he replied ''thanks mate''. I found it pretty funny I sent him a message in all caps. I was proper pished as well and only found out when I saw his name on my message list haha.

So you want me to pick the name back up and use it the next time I’m talking with anyone else(not you) that may have seen PJ Ladds Wonderful Horrible Life, was a fan of the world renowned Coliseum Skateshop or is maybe from New England or just an early 2000s east coast skater is what you’re saying?

When I was 14, I went to The PIT Skatepark to see a band play (Apocalypse Hoboken-good ole Chicago punk rock). The second the show was over this dirty, asshole, with a curly fro kept trying to run into kids as they were leaving the park. When we got to the car to leave, we find we have a flat. So we go back inside the park to see if we can find a phone (this was 1995 so no cell phones). As we are trying to get the owner to let us use the park phone, dirty fro cruises up and asks the two girls I was with what was going on. Now these ladies were not what you would call attractive. They were kinda gross, and apparently right up dirty fro’s alley. He hears our dilemma in needing to get a tire fixed, at midnight, in shitty ass Rockford IL. He looks at my friends and says “sounds like it’s blowjob time!” in a really sleazy tone. I started laughing at how awkward and gross it was. Years later I find out it was Pat Melcher and both of the girls ended up coming out.

I encountered Rodrigo TX sipping beers with his brother at a quiet bar near my apartment in São Paulo last weekend. I said hello and that I'm from Australia and he started listing his favourite Aussie skaters, starting with Dustin Dollin as if there's no such thing as Shane O'Neil. I also saw Tiago Lemos rolling down the road one day, just commanding the street with the presence of an actual car.

Used to film Silas Baxter-Neal back in 2007, around the time when he was getting on Adidas. Nice guy.

Drank beers with Leo Romero at Jon Miner’s house. His old band mate got naked in the living room and started dancing.

Used to skate the park in my town with Mike Rusczyk, amongst others. He’s a really cool dude, still see him around now and again. Mostly dad life now.

Skated around with a guy whose close homie is TNT. We talk sometimes, he watched me break my tibia.

Worked for Tony Evjenth when he was launching WLLM. RIP, he was the coolest guy. We used to go film around and he introduced me to Mike Anderson once.

Filmed and worked with Adam Crew on and off for 10 years or so. Used to go to his house and hangout.

John Cardiel laughed when I accidentally poured water on my camera.

Used to film a lot with Tony Manfre. The guy is a trip. He’s making music now and kills it.

Met Wes Kremer at Washington St. and was blown away when I told him where I was from, as he was headed there the next day. Saw him about a year later and he recognized me.

Brad Staba used to come grab beer from my last job, saw him in there once.

Said what’s up to Frank Gerwer on the street when he was walking his dog once.

Shane Heyl invited me into the Shake Junt booth at AGENDA once. He yelled GET SOME! Guy is a trip.

Fabrizio Santos asked me “how you been?” Upon first meeting him.

Had dinner at Salman Agah’s place when they were across the bridge from the berries.

Bonus: my friend blew smoke in Berra’s face once by accident and got the dirtiest look from him.
