Title: First field engineer in the field of telecommunications and networks
Post by: neomirav on June 06, 2019, 06:24:18 AM
Telecommunication engineering has seen immense advances in the recent years and thus, the role of a field engineer has also evolved. Telecommunication engineering (https://www.fieldengineer.com/blogs/field-engineer-story) is among the most evolving industries in the world. It is a branch of electrical engineering and it dates back to the 18th century when there were beacons and telegraphs used for communication.

The first field engineer in the field of telecommunications and networks was Claude Chappe, who was a French engineer. Then we have a long list of field engineers such as Thomas Edison, Carlos Slim, and many more. After the advent of computer networks and the internet in the 20th century, the role of a field engineer completely changed.

Who created the first telecom company that offers a link between consumer and employees?

The telecom industry is expected to expand even more in the coming years, but to date, the world’s top telecommunication companies have reached a market value of over $50 billion. China Mobile Ltd., Verizon Communications Inc., and AT&T Inc. are the leaders in the world of telecommunication service providers. These companies serve as a link between the consumer and the employees, allowing them to communicate whether they’re using traditional wired telephones or mobile phones.

5G is just an overlay on a LTE cell site that makes your 5G capable phone display the 5G icon. While it is true that you are 5G from the cell tower to your device, the backhaul WAN connection is not 5G, so...

It's all a lie.

Thank you for educating me on the topic of telecommunication engineering.  I bet ol’ Claude Chappe is reading this thread up in heaven on his 5G network and is smiling to himself, knowing that his work has enabled us humans to reach across vast distances to educate each other about things like telecommunication engineering and which Power Ranger is our favorite.  (Mine is Green).
