I suppose it depends on how you look at it. Definitely did way more than my fair share of criticizing and hating on the industry, but I don't know if I was ever "doing some trolling comedy stuff". One of my good friends worked at the Eagle (I think there is a few of them) in Chicago in the mid 00's which was an arcade/bar. I was basing my opinion from how upset Stevie was over the Manny Busters thing. If I remember correctly, Joel even mentioned how spicy the dms he got from Stevie were. I think what makes me most suspect about this post is the delayed response.
Theres a strength in numbers and a lot of power behind the movement right now so I can see him feeling more encouraged to share. Stevies always had that power in numbers though. One of the most recognized skaters of all time. I'm not Stevie, and I'm not a POC so It's not for me to say. From my POV, and maybe my privilege isn't in check, Stevie could have ended this a while ago.
However, I feel like its more likely for someone like Weck to make stuff up, than Stevie who isn't trying to provoke anyone.

I was basing my opinion from how upset Stevie was over the Manny Busters thing. If I remember correctly, Joel even mentioned how spicy the dms he got from Stevie were. I think what makes me most suspect about this post is the delayed response.
Theres a strength in numbers and a lot of power behind the movement right now so I can see him feeling more encouraged to share. Stevies always had that power in numbers though. One of the most recognized skaters of all time. I'm not Stevie, and I'm not a POC so It's not for me to say. Do some research on the crack epidemic in the 80's. More than half of addicts were black. Its intention was to ruin black communities. I literally never hear anyone use crackhead anymore unless its racially charged. I hear methhead far more often, and its likely because I live in a predominantly white community.

hey man, that's just like, your opinion. and I think you're painting with a real broad brush, especially saying that a "silent majority" hates him. if they're silent, how do you know their opinions? and why would you feel shame about someone you've never met? I get that he's desperate for attention, and maybe that makes you uncomfortable, but you're taking this all very seriously.
and saying he's not very good at skating is just plain wrong. look into some of his footage, he's pretty legit (I don't expect you to, or care if you do). if you think a bs flip fakie 5-0 is shitty, then you are a person. if you don't like his style that's fine, but to say he isn't good at skating is a big stretch.
