What's the last thing you spent your cash on.

Just grabbed a new bike lock off ebay.

Bought a bike on craigslist last night and I'm so fucking stoked. Saved ~700 and checked all the boxes I was looking for. May post in bike thread later.

Little just turned one, so we bought a ton of stuff for her birthday. It’s a big one considering she’s been through a lot this year so my wife kinda went wild.

Preordered a few records this morning and I’m about to pull the trigger on some of this DOA shit on sale

I finally got my 3 months of backpay from my recent promotion so I bought myself a new guitar pedal. Just a zoom ms50g. Usually multi effects pedals are pretty terrible, but these seem really solid and have almost infinite possibilities. Only about $100 too, so I can use the rest of the money more wisely.

A new fucking windshield, my commute is all highway of which a huge section is under construction. Which mean pebbles, pebbles everywhere.

Old windshield has been cracked since August but my inspection is due this month so it needed to be done to pass.

Glad my state doesn't do inspections for things like that because I'd be buying windshields like crazy. I feel like I've never had a car longer than a year where it didn't crack.

My windshield got chipped the second I bought my Subaru and drove out of their parking lot. Dump truck drove by right as I was leaving and a pebble landed on my brand new windshield.

I drive a subaru (18 limited trek) and haven't had this issue yet. Drive around 1000+ miles a month between work and road trips to central california (Yosemite/Sequoia), AZ and Utah. Heard tons of horror stories though through forums, reddit, etc.

2016 Prius, third windshield in 3 years. I frequent a few car forums for info when I don't want to pay someone to work on it, from what I read on there Prius' are rock magnets/Has a shape that is prone to crack easier. I guess what I save in gas I'm paying for in windows.

And the inspection thing is just a money grab from the state especially if you have a newer car.

It was a big-ass pebble in springtime Quebec City, our roads are probably comparable to Liberia or some other war-torn African country (it's so bad for real) especially in the spring with gigantic potholes and pebbles everywhere, so it's no surprise I received a pebble. Didn't really crack, just chipped. I refused to get it changed and it's still there, hasn't really been a bother.

Haven't really had anything nothing wrong with the car itself (Outback '16) except something that was covered under warranty (faulty computer)  but I do take good care of it and make sure maintenance is up to date. I had to get the head gaskets changed on my '07 Impreza 2.5 and that was a bitch I hadn't planned for. I knew of the known issue, but hoped I'd be spared, it happened at a moment where money was tight. I also didn't take good care of that car and shit ended up being expensive, that's on me though... I learned my lesson. Apparently the head gasket issue has been resolved; I hope, because I don't feel like dropping 1600$ on the repair..

Lol. I bought one a few years ago thinking it would be a fun way to get in shape. Did 10 minutes the first day and felt it for a week. Haven't picked it up since.

Good luck with it. It's great exercise if you can handle it.

EDIT: Called customer service the next morning to cancel my order but they already packaged it for shipping, so instead of going through the 2-4 week return process they gave me a refund and said I can keep it.

I keep it simple: 4 hass avocados, a roma tomato, diced red onion, chopped cilantro, diced jalapeno, minced garlic, sea salt, lime juice. You can kinda eyeball the ratios if the ingredients are on point but I got some low quality stuff yesterday.

I'm flying alone for the very first time this Monday, I just purchased a seat selection because I wanna be left alone for anxiety reasons, but now I'm worried someone will coincidentally be seated or buy a seat next to mine despite there being a ton of empty aisles left.

If it works out though, $40 for 12 hours of solitude would be worth it.

Hopefully you will be lucky & nobody sits next to you. Southwest allows open seating. Feels like a bizarre social experiment.

Love Spawn stuff, Have you seen "The Devil You Know" the McFarlane doco. Well worth it if you haven't.

Me and a mate were walking through Sydney when he was at comicon and him and his wife were having breakfast.
My mate stops and says hello then offers to pay for their breakfast. He thanks him and then pulls out a gold leaf spider-man, signs it and tells him it was for a competition and gives it to him.

I managed to score a Spawn issue with my name and his signature on it, he's a really nice guy.

spent a bunch of hard-earned money on this little bit of insurance that I pray I never have to use to defend those I love or myself, and which I simply enjoy shooting at the range every so often otherwise.

i hope you all are safe and well...

I bought a Fun Adams Dartboard because I love playing darts. Although, I like electronic dartboards but they are a bit expensive. So, I took a magnetic dartboard (https://dartsavvy.com/best-dart-boards/magnetic-dartboards/) this time.

Bought an HLG 550 R spec from the local (hydro) shop. Could've used a 15% code I got for HLG direct, but paid 880, instead of 740 I could've gotten direct, trying to support local small business in these times. I'm already regretting it though. Tried to pay the shop owner a compliment that I paid much more that MSRP to support him, and he called me stupid. Well stupid is as stupid does.  Tempted to return it unopened to the local and order it direct this morning, but I won't.

How bad was the pain? I‘m getting one in two weeks...
During the procedure, only the local anesthetic needle near the roof of my mouth hurt (maybe a 3/10). The implant itself didn’t hurt a bit, just a weird sensation with some weird smells. At one point he must have hit a nerve and I experienced a very brief jolt of pain (similar to when I’ve had cavities filled).

When the anesthesia wore off, it was throbbing a bit (maybe 2/10) but it really bothered me when I was trying to sleep last night. I didn’t take anything for pain, but I will tonight.

did that baking soda/vinegar combo work? i always assumed that the baking soda would just neutralize the vinegar into nothing more than water? grinding orange peels in the garbage disposal takes care of the funk as well as coffee grounds, not sure if mixing the 2 would be good though.

My partner and I recently signed a one year lease and moved into a house with this other couple, who proceeded to tell us that they were moving in with one of their parents not even a month into our lease. Then they sold all of the furniture in our communal spaces...

Fuck them, but the great thing is that now my partner and I can decide how we want to furnish the place to an extent. We bought a nice coffee table and a bunch of fancy coffee gear and it feels much more like our home now.

sega genesis and some games.

What games?
[close]

mortal kombat and super hang-on.
do you have any recommendations? aside from the typical games like sonic, megaman, etc.

The Streets of Rage games (2 especially).
I really like bad side scrollers, so Eswat, Last Battle and Ghouls and Ghosts.

I just got some candles from Brink's The Hundredth Acre. I got "petrichor", "Sitting by the Fire", "imagination", "used bookstore", "Sippin' Whiskey", and "orange blossom".

They all smell REALLY good.

It's like standing next to a woman that would never date/talk to me. That's how good they smell.

Very high quality, definitely recommend.

mean and aggressive looking wheels and tires for our Crosstrek
Trader Joe's grocery run
Ike's sandwiches to celebrate said bowl time.
About to pull the trigger on another set of snowboard bindings that I definitely do not need.

Keep an eye on your dog’s teeth.  Our little terrier mix *loved* chewing on tennis balls but the fur on tennis balls is like sand paper.  Her canine teeth are worn down a ton and we had to stop giving her tennis balls!

I really didn't know that... me and my lady have a few dogs on her parents ground and we noticed yesterday that one of them look like it had it's bottom canine's cut-out because the pointy part is missing, it's just a flat top and we were wondering what could have caused that

I guess there's no more tennis balls for him

Do you happen to know a good substitute?

Yup…that’s how my dogs teeth are too.  We replaced with a “Luna” ball for playing fetch.  Check Amazon for Luna ball for dog, and you can also find rubber balls there for “aggressive chewers”.

We noticed our dogs flat teeth too but had no idea either.  When we asked the vet the first question they asked was “does she chew on tennis balls?”

congrats man...sorry i didn't see this sooner.

i'm looking for enough land to practice some farming/permaculture myself, and also enough land to shoot my guns on and perhaps even pour a little concrete. funny enough, the actual house i end up with is kind of a secondary consideration for me as i look...i definitely don't mind kind of building it up around me as i go.

not sure people care much about this, but i love searching and exploring through this site...it's easy to get lost looking and dreaming:

I bought some makeup for my girlfriend and a comic for her nephew. Six packs of guitar strings and some picks. Knee pads for when I start hitting the concrete parks a little harder this autumn. And a bottle of Maine Beer Company Lunch.

I had a Nintendo Switch Lite and Breath of the Wild in my hand and $300 cash burning a hole in my pocket but I came to my senses and acted like an adult and put them back on the shelf and walked calmly out of the store.

i am looking right now for some acres...it's an intimidating thing to spend money on, and i have specific uses in mind...
[close]
yes for reals, house is currently being built! Half of the land will be a vege patch though, looking to do some hardcore permaculture
[close]

congrats man...sorry i didn't see this sooner.

i'm looking for enough land to practice some farming/permaculture myself, and also enough land to shoot my guns on and perhaps even pour a little concrete. funny enough, the actual house i end up with is kind of a secondary consideration for me as i look...i definitely don't mind kind of building it up around me as i go.

not sure people care much about this, but i love searching and exploring through this site...it's easy to get lost looking and dreaming:

https://www.landwatch.com/

upstate NY is looking wicked cheap these days. Really though, right out where I'm at in northern ca there's a 45 acre parcel out here that used to be an herb farm but that couldn't get permitted and is now selling for 245k an could be had for less. Couple out buildings, a stream that might still be viable, and water rights that may or may not be drained from the farm across the way. Still, Nat Forest land is up the hill, it sits at 3100ft elevation, 50 minutes from towns of 12k, 18k, and 26k people. Pretty sweet. I Can't find it right now, but this parcel sold almost 2 years ago and it's nice as can be https://www.humboldtcountyrealestate.com/property/254707/ (https://www.humboldtcountyrealestate.com/property/254707/).

Now that the counties and state are going hard on so-called illegal or black market growers (so the permitted farms can sell their shit on the black market anyways), properties that can't get permitted are selling for the low low low. Seriously, a property with a permit will sell for 1million+ while a property with more land and infrastructure, without papers, might sell for less than 250k. If you wanted to move to the far reaches of Northern California, where a person can shoot guns all day and night and grow as much food as they want on a property, these are what to look for as far as I'm concerned.

Nerded the fuck out on that website I love property websites

https://www.landwatch.com/humboldt-county-california-homesites-for-sale/pid/333696937

There’s gotta be something wrong with the title on this one or something why is it so cheap

You’d just go there and camp for weekends ay just build a pizza oven or some shit maybe a carport type thing to park under in case it rains it says it’s got power probably got no sewage tho

There’s some sick listings on that website hey

https://www.landwatch.com/humboldt-county-california-recreational-property-for-sale/pid/409429721

This one’s sick hella room to get weird

@matty_c and @IusedToSkateMore

i'm glad people explored that site a bit, and i appreciate the input on land in CA SkateMore.

i've lived in the Bay Area a couple of times now (the last time was back in 1998-1999), and i was seeing a lady who lived up in Shasta Lake, so i was up there quite a bit at points, but i honestly could never picture moving back to CA at this point...i try keep my horizons open though, so who knows...

...still, because of obligations to family--in and around Detroit--i'm looking for land in northern Michigan mostly, anywheres from 10 to 20 acres so far. this place is absolutely beautiful, but the parcel of land is kind of weird for what i would like to do:

https://www.landwatch.com/clare-county-michigan-homes-for-sale/pid/411305315

i hadn't considered upstate NY, so the next time i'm lurking, i'm going to look through what's available on LandWatch...exploring and dreaming and scheming on the next step in my life is helping me get through this period of stasis, which i have no choice in right now, and sipping on a little Maker's and exploring on Landwatch is helping right now...

edit: the thought of crazy, off-the-grid places/structures like this keep exciting me...

https://www.landwatch.com/alger-county-michigan-homes-for-sale/pid/411430544

this is way the fuck up in MI's upper peninsula, and 15 acres sounds and looks fun. i always said i'd never teach online, but now that i have made Zoom work pretty well, if i had a solid internet signal up there, i feel like i could make this work. install a bunch of solar panels, etc....

Matty- the shelter cove properties are super remote and on the aide of cliffs usually. In the 70s or 80s they were all part of a 1000s of acre ranch that got subdivided into smaller plots - 40-60 acre parcels are what most ended up being broken into, like that 2nd one in bridge ville you posted. Shelter cove was sold as a real estate developers dream, like for the last untouched cliffside beach properties in CA, but its waaaaay too isolated for that to happen. Takes hours on windy roads going 20mph to get there. The 2nd property in bridge ville is also very isolated and would be cool to just have. Most definitely was a weed farm until a couple years ago, probably from the 80s onward. Strategically, its a but too inland and might not have a great water source right now, for my liking. But its beautiful out there and again, probably at least 2 hrs to town, buy its off hwy 36, which is a very deadly, amazing road.

Wendell, Shasta lake suuuuucks area. Humboldt is interesting mostly due to the legacy of back to the landers, hippies, and weed growers that have been here since the late 70s. While it is also stupid conservative in places, its far more culturally interesting that anywhere else in these rural northern counties. I wouldn't live anywhrr else in CA. I don't like the bay area all that much and haven't been further south. Not trying to change any minds, but this area is quite different than others- although with the government getting involved more in EVERYTHING under the guise of cannabis legalisation and folks from the bay and socal "discovering" affordable home prices on a places where fires haven't yet hit and ample water, its changing fast. The rural places though, will not change much.

End ramble for now

I love the big forests of Northern CA and Oregon, San Diego is the most beautiful place and where I'm from, perhaps moving up north might be a realistic Avenue to actually owning property in this state

Maybe there’s a mad little community there still though it would have to be real dope to justify a ten hour drive there on long weekends hey
You could probably go fishing and shit up there idk
Depends what you’re into I reckon it’s sick though to have a place to go with mates drink and get loud, let off crackers and shit shoot guns and have a fire sort of thing

California is just like Australia mate, in that it's way bigger than everyone thinks and there's a ton of people in small pockets. Northern CA is super vast and dense but a lot of it is mostly forest. Skatopia is obviously the dream,  both the compound and the anarcho commune

Manistique is a cool little UP town, right on Lake Michigan. Not far from Marquette or Escanaba either. You gotta be ready for winter though.

My mother in law has a place in one of the little towns just a bit east, so we always go to Manistique for groceries and theres a few cool restaurants and bars, but I've never stayed there. You might be ok with the bugs because you're closer to the lake, but where I stay the bugs run shit. You don't want to be outside in the summer once the sun starts to set. It's seriously the biggest drawback about that place, more than the winter in my opinion.

cheers JB, i appreciate the info. i have no experience with the UP so it helps.

that particular domicile and land are seriously tempting, but i'm really looking for a place to live, and as incredible as that cabin and land are, there are a number of limiting factors--hah, for one, it sounds like the 2-mile-long "sandy two track" that leads to the main road, is probably impassable at points throughout the winter.

i've been half joking with a few friends who i grew up with in and around Detroit, about going halves on it, so we can get the fuck out of dodge regularly, and go and shoot guns and all that kind of fun stuff...

Unless you've got a serious plow, you're not getting in and out on that two track in the winter. Winter is gnarly there, and I looked on the map and you're far enough out of town that I think you're in the thick of the bugs come summer. As awesome as the UP is, I'd keep your eyes open for something else. From Detroit, you're looking at least a 6 hour drive up to Manistique too, so take that into consideration.

My wife is actually trying to get her mom to sell her place up there because the weather is so hard on homes, you really gotta be there to maintain it, and right now it's just a vacation spot. We were up there in July and there was people rebuilding the foundation because it was crumbling, and I think the house is only like 10-15 years old. She's also got this barn that's going to cave in any second. My mother in law is too old to take care of it, and we're all too busy to make that drive all the time to get shit done, so we're really wishing she sells it and finds a place closer. The UP is awesome and I'm really glad that I've gotten to experience a lot of it, but Michigan has loads of other cool places that aren't as gnarly when it comes to the elements. Keep your eyes open.

Check up and down the Huron side. It seems to be less developed than the Michigan side and more affordable. My wife and I just spent last weekend up in Port Austin, which is at the tip of the Thumb. Never been before and we can't wait to go back. Super small tour, so it's not like flooded with tourists like a lot of the towns on Lake Michigan. Almost everything was walkable, but not a ton to do. We chilled on the beach and walked to bars and restaurants. It's surrounded by farm land, and theres no big freeways leading up to it, and from Detroit it would probably still be under 3 hours. My cousin has a place in AuGres which is just on the other side of the Saginaw bay on Lake Huron, and she said it really affordable there. You could also find a place anywhere in the middle, but in my opinion unless you're a serious hunter or farmer, there's no reason you'd want to live in the middle of nowhere. There are cool places sprinkled throughout, but I wouldn't leave my place in the burbs for a mid Michigan town.

I've got an Animals Pedal Rover, which is a TB style fuzz. It's the only one I've got that cleans up with the guitars volume knob, which makes it pretty versatile. I honestly think it's a better overdrive than a fuzz sometimes. Stacks really well with other overdrives and fuzzes too. It's probably my hardest fuzz to dial in though, all the knobs really play off each other so it's a lot of twisting until you find what sounds best. Big muffs are pretty much a set and forget pedal (sustain dimed).

classy.

I kinda hate that there are so many muff versions. Like how do I know if theres a better one than the one I already have?
[close]

I love Earthquaker's take on the big muff (Hoof and Cloven Hoof). Way Huge Pork & Pickle is great too, but I tend to use the OD side more than the fuzz. Pedals are such a rabbit hole.
Every time I try to find a cloven hoof they’re wicked expensive, I’d try one of they were affordable most definitely.

I tried a swollen pickle a while back, thinking I wanted the extra scoop and compression controls. Turns out I liked my wicker muff better. Traded the SP for a ZVEX Mastotron and that thing is a beast. My muff was crapping out the last time I played it though, so I might be looking for a replacement soon. Kinda eyeing the Ibanez mini fuzz, as that could probably always fit on my pedalboard.

As far as the Hoof, I kinda feel like it's a bit out of my price range for a big muff, since you can get the EHX ones for less than half the price. I'd really love to try a hoof reaper though, I feel like that could be my only dirt pedal and I'd be totally fine.

I think my next one will be a germanium fuzz face. The dunlop mini ones are fairly inexpensive. I love being able to use the volume on my guitar to control my tone bender, and the fuzz face is supposed to be even better at that.

Cheap pair of Tascam headphones and a $30 Tom's Line Germanium Fuzz pedal. The headphones are ok, going to give them a few days before I decide on whether I'm going to keep them or exchange them for another pair. They sound fine, but they're a bit too big for my head. The fuzz is solid, not too wild, but cleans up decent with the guitars volume knob. Definitely could use more output and gain, but it's got a good vintage sound. Stacks well with other dirt behind it too. For the price, I don't think I did bad.

I've got my eyes on either this seafoam fender mustang with p90s or a squier bass 6. Hoping to take two guitars and a pedal I don't use and see what the shop will give me on a trade in. Of the two, I really want the mustang. I've got am american mustang right now that I love, but I can't tune in anything other than standard tuning because of the tremolo bridge makes it go out of tune too fast. The p90 has a string through body and a bridge like a tele, so it should be perfect for alt tunings. Felt great playing it too. It's almost $700 though, and I doubt they'll give me that on a trade for my gear. The bass 6 is only about ~$450 which I could probably get close for my gear, but I don't know how much I'd actually play it. I like the idea of a bass sounding guitar, but I don't know if it's going to sit in the corner for months after the novelty wears off.

I am a hoarder when it comes to purchasing things online. If I can actually show my Amazon wish list, one will be surprised by how myriad and whimsical my lists are. The last thing a bought was a Japanese traditional samurai (https://kabukimask.com/category/samurai-mask/) mask. Japanese Samurai Masks are a part of traditional Japan and their origins go back to times. Samurai Masks are also a representation of the rich cultural values of Japan and symbolize its history.

I just bought an Adventure Audio Fuzz Peaks II (https://www.adventurepedals.com/pedals/fuzzpeaks2) which is basically a modified Russian muff circuit. They claim it’s for bass (since so many Russian Muffs suck low end on bass) but it sounds tremendous on guitar.

Saw this mustang at the local guitar store yesterday and had to grab it. I was looking at basically the same guitar, but in blue and they wanted $700 for the brand new one, and that was just too much for me to spend on a second guitar. This is barely used, and came with the hard case, a clip-on tuner, cleaning rag, and the strap with strap locks and was only $500. I was planning on selling some of guitars and pedals I don't use, but even taking a decent loss on that stuff will more than pay for this. Really stoked.

It plays just like my other Mustang, but the pickups sound totally different. They're super mid focused and sharp compared to the loose and open feeling of the mustang single coils. It also plays very different with my pedals. My DOD 250 has been my go-to overdrive for a while, and I really don't like it with the P90s. It adds in a lot of low end which doesn't sound great to my ears. My Animals Pedal Van overdrive has very little low end and the P90s eat that thing up.

I've went back and forth to try to hear the differences, and they're definitely noticeable, but I think what I'm most stoked on is they both sound amazing and it's impossible to prefer one over the other. Every time I've tried to put my other Mustang down and play my Duo Sonic or my Revstar, I'm always less than pleased. That's not an issue anymore.

This is exactly how I feel right now.

Dang lotta guitar players on here. I got my first guitar when I was ten, played obsessively (bass too) until I was about twenty-six, my interest in the last ten-twelve years tapered off as other hobbies took over. I sold my last guitar about five years ago and have not played at all since then. Yesterday I bought a used beginner's guitar- a Squier Hardtail HSS Bullet Stratocaster in Black/Metallic Gray. $100 shipped from Guitar Center should be here next week, comes with a free gig bag. I'm so excited- playing guitar, like skating is something that takes me back to childhood and just that fun feeling of being young. Shopping for straps, picks, slides, capos, pedals, just the little guitar accessories is so nostalgic for me and looking for the perfect amp is going to be a project until I find my dream tone. Gonna buy a bass, PA system and drums eventually too. The new Vans video got me hyped on playing rock again, guitar music is coming back baby! So psyched on this axe

Wow, I'm not a strat guy, but that's pretty dope. Especially for only $100. Looks way nicer than the shitty $100 epiphone I started with.

I bought one of these last week. Sounds great with both my guitars, the P90s sound so mean with it. They're only like $80 new too, which is pretty cheap compared to a lot of other pedals. Give one a shot if you're looking for a solid overdrive.

That pair of Mustangs looks great! I don't think I've seen a Mustang with a trem nor a 'stang with p90s before. But, then again, I don't see many Mustangs in general.

I ordered myself a new rice cooker, a fancy hi-tech induction heating one with a ceramic bowl. The Zojirushi I wanted are not available in Europe and importing it myself from Japan would've cost WAY too much money and I would've had to deal with a power converter and all types of nonsense, it didn't make sense. So I bought one from some Dutch company called Yum Asia, haha. I hope it doesn't suck.

Ordered a pair of glasses online, which kind of looked like women’s glasses, but I thought “hey, I’ve got a beard, maybe they won’t look so much like women’s glasses once they’re on my face”… they definitely still look like women’s glasses on my face.  The website has a great exchange policy, but they’re isn’t a single other pair in my size I’d want to wear.

Update: Guitar Center cancelled my order on Tuesday because someone had already bought the black Strat in-store just before I purchased it online. For $1 more they are sending me the same guitar in Midnight Blue with a white pickguard. No mention if it has the same configuration of pickups, I'm really hoping it has a humbucker in the bridge slot but if not I will probably keep it anyway. Can't beat the price and I was already planning to buy another guitar with twin double-coils somewhere down the road eventually. Curious about the specs of the blue Strat, I guess I'm in for some surprises when it gets here

It’s likely to be the one below. You may get one with three single coils. Congrats either way.

Close but not quite the same. The guitar I received today is a hardtail, meaning no tremelo and it has three single coil pickups like a classic Strat, and the finish is more of a dark navy or a blue-black rather than a deep royal. I'm going to keep it and I've got my eye on an Epiphone Les Paul with twin humbuckers for my next piece when I want a punchier, heavier sound for playing harder rock and metal. The blue Bullet Strat is super playable with a thin, smooth neck and fretboard with low string action, and a lightweight, ergonomically contoured body. Really happy with my purchase even though it turned out to be not exactly what I thought I was getting. Next purchase will be a practice amp or a cheap bass

I'd stay away from the super cheap $100 Epiphone LP guitars. I had the p90 one and the pickups were really terrible.

Balter hazy xpa and some Oakley frog skins
I left my cigarette burning outside the Oakley store and when I rolled out with my sunnies I grabbed it out of the garden and it was still burning so I kept smoking it
This lady saw me grab it out the garden and looked disgusted

What the fuck happened to frogskins
I got so many in storage from back in the day the good ones used to be $150
The good ones now are $270
I got 15% off an average pair they were still $143

They said if I take a photo of my receipt I can get a pair for half price when I break them

I reckon I should just get servo sunnies next time
I bet I trash these cunts by this time tomorrow

Are the russian big muffs worth something now? I have a black one kicking around somewhere.

I just checked reverb and it looks like they go for at least $200. I'd say that's pretty good considering you can get the EHX reissue which is in a much smaller size for under $100. Not sure how much you paid for it, but I'd imagine it wasn't too much if you've had it for a long time.

If it's just sitting, put it up for sale.

Green Russian Muff clone for $55 shipped. Haven't played it much but it sounds like a big muff is supposed to sound. Cool graphics for a budget pedal too. Didn't need it, but I can't say no to fuzz.

I'm finally starting to work out of the office again and last week I realized how uncomfortable my big over the ear headphones were. These were $45 and sound great. Super comfortable as well.

I've got those headphones as well. They're pretty great.

Also last thing i got was a delta spirit t shirt (well l33t got it for me as repayment for a ticket)and their album history from below pressed on coke bottle blue vinyl

Yeah they're typical ear buds. They do a good job as far as blocking out typical noise but they're not industrial grade

Think of it like an ear plug that plays sounds. They give you like 4 different sized rubber things so you can find what fits your ears best. The tighter the fit, the more "noise cancelling" they are.

Never tried high end noise cancelling buds, so I've got nothing to compare these to.

Fucking inlet cheap inlet hose for the toilet in our apartment blew this morning. Went to shut off the rusty toilet water supply valve and the handle broke right off. Husband had to shut off the water for the whole apartment. So yeah, bought a new inlet hose, top of the line. Never want to deal with that again.

I bought maaaaad shit today.

God, my wife just bought herself a trimmer that didn't work too well. I don't know what her thoughts were, but instead of searching for a product for females, she searched "ball trimmer". I was out and happened to be by kohls, so I offered to return it and the poor like 19 year old girl working the return desk was a bit creeped out and I barely made it through the return without laughing.

Either way, I wish you luck.

Bought some stickers from @PuffinMuffin.  Also bought some of PuffinMuffin’s time and experience to help me with a sticker idea that has been rattling around in my brain for lo these many years.

The left sticker is my idea that PuffinMuffin helped with, and also the Charlie Brown sticker is a great representation of my last slam, and the SLAP PALS stickers.

I put the “generic” version of my stickers on my ramp but got others with more pizzazz as well:

Mad props to PuffinMuffin for amazing work.

Edit….just realized I posted older pics of the pizzazzy stickers.  Ultimately the stickers I got have a little mini-ramp hidden in the image.

i bought a 'field jacket' from an op shop fairly recently. it was made by the brand mr simple, and i think i was quite lucky to find it where i did. i bought it for 45 dollars, considerable less than the 250 recommended retail.
one thing i really like about it (apart from the heat conservation benefits) is that the lower (waist) pockets have two pocket sections. there's one button portion at the front, and on the side entrance to the same pocket there's a completely separate pocket for putting your hands or something else in.

go shop at op shops! bargains to be found for sure!!

i've been saving for a while, and excited to have a Bluetti AC200AMX solar power station and two PV200 solar panels arriving tomorrow

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWUxbzBrzs0

anybody have any experience with solar generators? it seems that across the board, we're being warned about power issues this summer--which i'm assuming is going to increasingly be the new norm anyways--and we have our first stretch of mid- to high-90s weather coming this week here in Michigan. it's going to be nice to be able to run our refrigerator with this at least, if the power ends up down for days on end this summer.

was also thinking of installing one of these transfer switches--another area i'd love to hear if anybody has experience with...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiWnqukg9mM&list=WL&index=19&t=308s
