First thing I thought of. Must be 25 years old.

I never got into crust outside of His Hero is Gone (incredible records), but for political punk I've recently gotten into early anarcho punk / peace punk stuff. Crass, Rudi Peni, etc.

I definitely thought behind enemy lines off the jump but I'm stoked to contribute to this.
My favorite

Opens with a crass sample and goes into antisect. Does not get better than this.

Crust is a blanket term kinda.
Some of these links are more traditional punk or hardcore sometimes it's got other names
The last few are the most important to me.

Plutocracy!

My favorite of all those anarcho type of bands was Disrupt, Nausea, Amebix, Tragedy , RESIST, Doom, Code-13, Destroy, Distraught.
Loved the anger that those bands had, it’s a wonder some bands make it to two albums.

I’ll listen to some crust but like you said peace punk is what I really relate to
I idolize nick blinko and in my opinion rudimentary peni is one of the most cohesive and smartest punk bands ever to exist

I have that anti-cimex back patch on my favorite vest. It's canvas I used a 70s type 3. It's my vest work.
I have a ripping crust EP on ice since 2016.
It's all instrumental but I got a new tascam D's?32 coming soon.

I don't listen to this one much.

Unpopular opinion Behind Enemy Lines was a better band than Aus Rotten hands down....

My favorite pure anarcho band is definitely the Apostles. Not crust at all, and kinda hippie vibes and peace punk sound, but the lyrics are definitely pro direct action and they were open about being willing to use violence when necessary:
https://youtu.be/-lliF1xw0nA
https://youtu.be/5fWQKuS_4WY
https://youtu.be/UIYFzm9QBi4
Conflict is another favorite of mine. Another anti-peace anarcho band:
https://youtu.be/l_woUmie8uk
Omega Tribe is pretty hippie peace punk but still good:
https://youtu.be/-mfjC4bJGsY
-
I fucking love this band, I’m not sure why they aren’t more popular. Not crust either, but definitely British anarcho
The best melding of reggae and punk I’ve ever heard

Duane Peter's sucks anyways, never liked US Bomb's always thought it was lame. Stick to what you know Duane boards and drugs punk never wanted or needed you.
I've got a theory about musicians and vice versa, if you're a athlete and have an eye for a hobby such as hip-hop, rock or whatever else stick to your sport...... Honestly you'll save yourself the embarrassment and joke's of which your critic's are going to have a field day on.
Maybe actors and actresses can pull it off because it's a character they're putting their heart in to, athlete's turned artists just sound whack.
-
Anyone listen to Kaleidoscope or Straw Man Army? They're not anarcho or crust by any means, but they each have a certain style that is kind of like early peace punk.
-
Duane hating on Crass?
Lol, he was always such a fashion punk anyway, I’m honestly not surprised...
-
He's likely re re re attaching himself to the barmy army cause to try and sell some prints.

Not sure how they place on the political spectrum, but it's raw D-beat so it might get a pass and also might speak to more people here than in the HM thread. I just receive my records in the mail and it gets me so pumped.

This is not a crust band but is definitelly super good political hardcorepunk band from Bulgaria and their vocal/guitar Radney has been sk8ing since the late 80s. You could check for more at www.artificialcomet.bandcamp.com (http://www.artificialcomet.bandcamp.com) Radney's old band was the best skatepunk band in bulgaria for many years. It was called Spot and you could listen and download them from here: www.spotpunkrock.bandcamp.com (http://www.spotpunkrock.bandcamp.com)
You can check two videos of both bands:

Any love for neo-crust stuff here? Or maybe just a different thread I haven't seen yet?
Fall of Efrafa put their whole discog on BC not too long ago: https://fallofefrafa.bandcamp.com/
Last years Habak record is a fucking ripper too: https://habak.bandcamp.com/
More neo-crust recs for anyone interested:
Morrow https://morrowpunx.bandcamp.com/album/covenant-of-teeth
Wildspeaker https://wildspeaker.bandcamp.com/album/spreading-adder
Dodsrit is more crusty BM but kicks a ton of ass https://dodsrit.bandcamp.com/album/d-dsrit-3
-
fuck, those last two posts are great and I wouldn't even consider myself a crust connoisseur!
Just gave Fall of Efrafa some of my hard earned!
I guess if we are talking mixing folk-ish type music with punk, then this band also deserves some love (and I wouldn't know what other thread to stick them in anyway):

A hardcore anarcho/crust political punk came over to my place at 2am last night high on mdma. Sounds like a booty call, I know, but she mostly just told me how much she hated the cops then bounced at sunrise. Said she had to go home and check on her dog.

i've seen Turtle Island once, but its not really for me.
the only folkish punk band i like is japanese tho, but its not japanese folk. talking about Alka Silka, their shit is catchy as fuck.
I had a chance to see them oneday when the staff of my hostel asked me if i wanded to come and see their friends band who was visiting from Okinawa, they were playing down the street. it wasn't until the day after i found out they were talking about Alka Silka and was pretty bummed i missed it.
speaking of japanese crust. i highly recomend anyone to check out Quang Duc Asylum. seen them twice and they're one of the best band to see live. sadly they rarely play these days, at best one gig a year. crusty psychedelic sludge like sound and the war and psychedilic immagery in the background that is mixed live by a VJ. such a solid experience.

Thats funny, i just picked up the Alka Silka ( I read it as Aruka Shiruka) album from a skate shop a couple of weeks ago. I’m trying to translate the lyrics and get a sense of what they’re saying. Some of the stuff is really catchy.
If you like that, then you might like Yoshiki’s and Takemai’s (from Turtle Island) acoustic side-project, Alkdo. Korean and Japapanese folk songs, with some good covers.
