He has horrendous luck with sponsors and has been giving off that Zumiez guy vibe after cutting his hair.
I’d be okay with him on Darkstar through the Bachinsky connect. He’s one of those guys that would put out footage.

Best of luck to Manny. He's obviously had a tough run with all of his hectic sponsors but he's a great dude and I hope he lands somewhere halfway decent. I could definitely see him on Blind or Darkstar.

I can’t disagree but he saddled up to the wrong horse early in his career. Felix, who in my opinion has one of the worst styles ever. He,just like Manny and Tyson Peterson when landing have stiff legs and bend from their backs. It’s painful to watch them skate even when they are doing nbd’s and that’s just like my opinion man

remember reading a jack curtin interview (before he got on fallen) that he wanted to get on CONS but nick trapasso had some similar feelings of not liking him or some shit. funny thing is jack curtin is still pro and on nb# while nick trapasso disappeared out of skateboarding
also after think manny went to ammo then fortune - would he have a chance to get on something legit?

Manny has made a career off skateboarding in a way we will probably see regularly soon. He did it while us old heads see it differently. Good for him. I met him and Dave early thanks camera days and they’ve always been stand up dudes. He’s the better version of YouTube kid hype Bc he grew up a skate rat. If you don’t like what manny has done it’s okay, Bc I get it. But it is what it is. He’s gonna always be a skate rat and he knew how to monetize his skating.

Eh, I grew up as a PRod fan and this guy is/was his sparring partner for BATB.
But damn, this dude is constantly picking the wrong sponsors. Just wow. It’s kinda painful to watch.
I’m not praising his footage or Darkstar but, who puts out a part a year. No one asked for it but, it’s there.

It was weird because when Manny Santiago first came out on the scene for Think Skateboards he didn't look that bad, eastcoast skating tech rails etc., but then it has been one big downhill from that both style and sponsor wise.

seems like all the riders for Fortune called it quits based on their IG posts. the only one who hasn't said anything is Brett Conti, the owner? the drama will surely unfold and maybe someone will notice and comment on it. must be hard having a skate company that falls into a weird space in between YouTube and SLS.

I dunno about bad luck as much as making terrible sponsorship decisions. Ecko, Ammo, Felix?? I like(d) Felix, but he was never a major player (somebody feel free to correct my ignorance. ) so I never understood why Manny's career seemed placed into his hands.
There is also the issue with his little-kid boards. Something about grownups skating 7.5's (hello Felipe Gustavo) with shit wheels.

Yea Brett is from Long Island he actually rips. I used to think he would go somewhere in skating then he decided to become this kook YouTube dude after college. The dude Chad that did 50 tricks 50 states is his cousin.

When I think of Manny Santiago I think of Ecko. So I guess the branding does work, but it's Ecko and that's weird but I guess Stevie would rock Ecko back in the day too
