Been setting up and taking apart boards frequently so I got a electric screwdriver to save my forearms (and time). Philips bolts are no problem but Allen are a problem. The size 3 head is too small and the size 4 is too big, 3.5 isn't readily available or sold as a single piece. I'm thinking about using a Gator Grip to tighten it from the nut side instead of the bolt side.
Anyone have any experience with Allen heads and electric screwdrivers?

I think what your looking for is a 9/64 inch allen head. Must be american standard not metric. But anyway, 9/64" is like exactly the same size as 3.5 mm. It's a common size and comes in full american standard allen wrench sets
Should be able to get one sold as a single piece for your electric screwdriver

Pretty sure you should be tightening from the nut side anyway, otherwise you get those grip ripples around the bolt head

get nut drivers and extensions if you have to use power tools.

I cut a straight piece off an Allen wrench with a hacksaw and use it in a chuck on a cheap drill.
It works but most of the time I just use the one that slides in my tool anyways

Get a ratchet or Silver / Andale tool and tighten bolt side.

Thanks for the replies guys, you're right I should be tightening from the nut side instead of the bolt side. I had a Silver tool but broke off 1 end trying to loosen a stubborn axle nut.

'grip ripples' would be a great band name
