Who bought Mystery and thought it was a good business decision? Jamie Thomas must be hyped he was able to sell off a brand no one cares about.
-
Great tunes, felt just like I was on hold with my insurance company.

got a "youtbe VLOG" vibe from it

We need to get Dan Murphy on something else. Even though he didn't really fit he should have never left Foundation.
Good songs, packed team, but man that did absolutely nothing for me. Wonder how many boards a month they get.
Only trick that made me register was that front blunt by the short dude with dreads.

Did Jamie steal the name & logo from Detroit Rock City?

Did Jamie steal the name & logo from Detroit Rock City?
Yes. Just like he did for Zero from Toy Story.
Uninspired trash.

I think it's the same people who own Theeve Trucks?

Behold the dead beaten horse

finally, 2020 is saved

I mean, that in itself is a talent, albeit a sleazy one. He's a decent "businessman"/swindler. The only Mystery is who actually buys this shit to skate.
-
I went on their Instagram/site not too long ago & was surprised they were active with new skaters, Sierra was the only person I followed from there. I pictured them as a "bringing skaters back to life" team
-
It's okay to stick with black and white thematically, but I'm not going to mess around with the settings on my tv to be able to watch an internet part. Some clips were too dark/muddy.
I think they have a pretty good team for this brand. I actually checked out their website because of this video. I feel like if any of the team members know how to draw, they should step up. Too many of the same tired mystery boards graphics from when JT owned it.
Mystery as a brand name could have you doing much more than this. Don't squander the opportunity to make better graphics.
-
thats sick brandon turner is also on mystery
-
Felt like a homie project with absolutely no legacy what so ever. Would have been cool, if that was what it was.

imagine wanting to live out the "pro dream" so bad you agree to skate Mystery boards in 2020.
-
That was really underwhelming, but there were two very good kickflips down gaps in there, and Dan Murphy still looks great.
-
lmao, that was so bad.
the skating was okay, but that edit and the music was so hilariously bad.
holy shit.
-
i have not cared about a video less
-
Murphy and Moose are still pro, I didn't know!
-
Front blunt OSide hubba was :o

Wasn't it pretty cool under blackbox though? I remember when I was 14 or something, that's all I would skate. One time I went on a cruise and played slot machines and won like 90$ which was my whole monthly allowance (kids get about 100$ per kid monthly from the government here), so I went straight off the boat and bought a Mystery board. Then I hit a pebble first day setting it up and threw the shit out of it and chipped it.
-
Glad to see they’re apparently still committed to sponsoring the shortest skaters around.
Kind of incredible this should be the mud Dan Murphy got stuck in, I’ve always loved his skating.
-

Yes I agree Johnny laytons front blunt there in like 2004 was incredible esp at the time.
-
A few things stood out, was Mouse pro for Deathwish or baker or whichever one? Could Gomez with the man bun NOT frontside flip up the curb? They should have a girls lineup and call it Systery
-
Kind of sad I follow skating and didn't know Mystery was still a thing...or maybe that's sad for them..
-
Could have just have Murphy's tricks and id of been hyped
-
With the popularity of true crime/murder porn tv, you would think that a company named mystery would be capitalizing on that shit. Make a cartoon Jack the Ripper or other famous murderers.
Mystery could do anything than rehash the tired shit they inherited and it would be an improvement.
-
I had a few different takes on this video:
1) It’s like a homie video that chose to bite the black and white aesthetic in the most contrived way... except the brand is the originator of it. Hurts my head to try and understand the series of decisions that lead to this video dropping
2) Can’t believe we went from the original Black and White to this in a little over a decade.
3) I thought, “wow, that’s whack, they should just start their own brand” but, to commend them, I wouldn’t have watched that shit unless it was branded as Mystery
4) I feel bad for the first guy. He seemed pretty good but you can tell his style gets a little fucked up from being affiliated with some of these assholes
-
Dan Murphy repping a 7.875?
-
Hookups new roster 2020

Too many of the same tired mystery boards graphics from when JT owned it.
I think that that’s what they want. I think this company banks on people seeing their boards on a shop wall and thinking “wow wonder if Adrian Lopez is still doing half cab boardslides” and buying them out of nostalgia.
-
I can't tell if people post shit like this to troll us or not.

I think that just makes for confused shoppers wondering why this skate shop is selling dead stock from a decade ago at full price.

This made me laugh harder than it should have.

haha that was so bad. alec chambers and james fitz are really sick though. i had no idea they were subject to this shit

i have to give it to youoverthere though, he is on point with keeping everyone updated with the latest parts. he's like slaps video newsflash. everytime i happen to come up on a video on youtube that is like uploaded 5 mins ago i watch it, come to slap to post about it and he already made a thread.
but yeah, this video sucked. could have been good with a better production(filming, editing, music). it's a shame, cuz it's not the skaters fault. somehow the filming and format made the skating look worse than it is imo.

Adrian Lopez is to busy selling AL50's on eBay to skate anymore.

they still sell these shoes where i live. you can buy a new pair:
https://www.titus.de/search?p=1&q=al+50&o=7&n=18&brand=c1rca
two of my friends bought a ton of these ca 2002-05. they wouldn't wear any other shoe. they didn't skate though.
almost want to try out how they skate. the shoe isn't even that bad looking. they are basically j-dubs. but they are probably trash i guess.

I respect adrian lopez even more for being the only person to make money from Circa in years. That shoe has been out for what feels like 15 years.

Dude I turned this off mid video, and I like pretty much everything that comes out.
-
the last dude on their team page skates for both etnies and dc lol
-
Death by jangly library music. That shit has been a plague upon recent Web parts.
Needed more Carlin.
-
Yeah, that's what could have saved this abortion, Jimmy Carlin.
-
really bad and boring... Also if you are going to put a bunch of no names in a video you should probably give out there full names and not just their last names
-

I definitely chuckled a bit as I posted.
-
There's like 100 people on that team and I've heard of maybe 3.
95% of this footage looks like that one pretty good kid at the skatepark that never skates street filmed by his mom.
