Not digital, a little brass one I got for measuring my wheels and seeing how worn they are. Every time I leave it at home, someone asks to use it. Plus it's just too cute to not have in my pocket.
-
Ive never even considered doing that, whats the advantage to measuring wheel ware?

There isn't one. Sometimes you just get curious about how much you've worn down your wheels. I've noticed I like to retire wheels at about 45mm.
-
Tool
Water or Gatorade
Rag/bandanna
Some kind of snack
A $20 bill. I usually use a rewards CC, but sometimes you end up a place that's cash only

- two extra bearings

I don't carry around a caliper or anything, but I have one at home and when my back heel-side wheel is about 2mm smaller than my front toe-side wheel I swap them and I like to think it increases my wheel usage time.

Wax, bike lock, knife, water, towel, fresh shirt, mask for stores, and snack's for energy.

What do you do with the chalk? I’m gonna feel dumb if the answer is art...
-
haha, nah. probably dumb to everyone else, but occasionally I like to have a little mark at a spot for orientation. Like 'don't grind further than this, because there the blocks are not flush and you will hang up', or 'start ollieing here', etc. shit like that.

That’s interesting! I like it 8)

Checking wheels is the best way to ensure even wear, which will in turn make your wheels last longer.
A bit of info in this post, if you don't mind the reading.

I started to bring an electric screwdriver with the socket and screw heads around in my bag. I setup a lot of boards so the screwdriver saves my forearms and lots of time. I also use it to remove the pesky screws that stick out of my local ledge when the coping comes loose, sure beats unscrewing those 6" screws by hand.

Dude, general is the shit! That’s my go to for when I’m flying or trying to be low key about it.
I dipped pretty heavy when I was in the marine corps but also smoked like a pack and a half a day. I quit smoking I occasionally hit my vape but prefer to just dip.
Also my phone background is the can of cope that says dope stuff from the all hail Cardiel series on love notes.

Haha, sick. Yeah, I smoked from like 18 years but still remember snusing way more fondly. Made me feel way less shitty and I genuinely liked the taste.

I've bought a tripod for my phone to video stuff. I've used it once to film my FS Half-Cab Noseslide to see why I was slipping out. My friend whose been re-learning his ollies after a bad ankle injust has been using the tripod to correct his technique.
Putting a skipping rope in my bag, get a 2 minute skip in as part of my session warm up.

It's so rare for me to see a bag stolen.
Some fool stole from my homie few years back. Both were grown men with hands.
This was a huge frickin mistake.
My homie hit him once and 2 more on the way to the ground.
It was excessive but whatever play stupid games.
He wound up leaking severe next to the flat bar continuing to talk out their neck.
We saw him a couple days later and just laughed.
I thought he was out for revenge when we saw him but nah. He just looked at the ground.
I might not take the chance of he had given us the death look. Sometimes you got to let someone know that the only way forward is forget your embarrassment or suffer a repeat
-
I wanna use a bag. Really do but I hate skating with a bag on, and I don't think my shit gettin stolen. So I keep my keys on a really cool caribiner(sp?), wallet back right pocket, and my phone in the front left but it's a flipper/ trap phone sp no issues there. But I do wish for the days were I got nothin in the pockets.
My guy back in the days was like"skating with shit I yer pockets is like writing a paper with some one grabbing at yer pencil"

I usually take the strap and tie it up on the bench to keep it from getting snatched. Been talking a bout coming up with a more securable bag that can lock to a fence or bench. There is a crew of young hood rat kids that will take your shit in a heart beat if your not watching.
Now I wanna start a IG page of "Whats in Your Skate Bag"!!
-
Maybe just get a lock for your bag and hook it onto a fence or something?
Got a little water bottle bag for my 1/2 gal bottle. Enough room for my phone, couple credit cards, keys, skate tools and a vape. Wax in my cargo pocket. Good to go for 90% of my sessions.

How do you guys wear your hip/waist packs? Their intended way or the trendy over the shoulder sling? I thought they were nice and practical when they first came out but quickly became worn out by the general public. Ive got a spacious Patagonia 5L hip bag but the thought of carrying it over my shoulder is cringe and cant decide if around the waist looks goofy I usually just resort to a tote or a small backpack for my gear (short walk from the truck to the skatepark anyway).
-
There's a park one block away from me, it's kind of boring to skate but it's conveniently close so if I'm there I don't take much.
-phone
-keys
-water bottles
-extra mask
-hand sanitizer
-tool
-wax
-towel
-hat
-tripod for phone
-icey hot, because sometimes my calves will cramp up if I skate longer than usual, despite doing stretches and staying hydrated
However there's a way better park about only two miles away that I'll sometimes bike to, so I'll take a bit more in my bag.
-more bottles or a gallon of water
-small sandwich
-extra pair of trucks
-portable phone charger
-bike lock, which I'll use to lock my bag and bike together onto the park fence so I don't have to worry about either one
I never bother taking my wallet. Also I contemplate carrying rubbing alcohol sometimes, but I've never really needed it yet but perhaps I should add it to my bag from now on anyways.
I'm using a Burton Day Hiker 25L backpack that I found for 30% off, it's roomy but I mostly appreciate the straps to carry my board so it's easier to bike ride.
