With the scarcity of the Sony Premium Mini DV tapes in the blue or orange packaging due to discontinuation, I've come across a couple other Sony Mini DV tapes that are still in stock at some places and wanted to see if anyone here had experience trying them.
Anyone ever used either of these Sony tapes before?

never used anything besides blue/orange. But if you do make the switch over to anything else, just run a head cleaner tape through it.

I've been loyal to the regular sony premiums with blue wrapper for 10+ years. I don't think there's going to be a difference in quality wise from tape to tape though. My friend used to use panasonic and maxwell and he never had any problems. As Parker said, just run a tape cleaner between switching brands and you'll be fine.
