A few months ago me and a friend were joking about how long it would take for another "higher end" fashion and/or sports brand like Lacoste/ralph Lauren/Tommy Hilfiger etc. to sign a skateboarder.

Well, it was worn here by asshole guido’s (full tracksuits > pants tucked in their socks) in the 90’s. So we were quite lacoste-intolerant .

OH FUCK they blew it.. I would have been psyched on Bobby De Keyzer on Lacoste. Karsten Kleppen would look at home on their website. Tom Knox if his Dickies contract expired. Lucas Puig an obvious choice. Kevin Rodriguez if they were actually searching for clout in the skateboarding/ streetwear world. But Torey fucking red bull flatbrim pudwill? I like the brand, I buy their products, and I'm abysmally let down now

Lacoste isn't high fashion, it started as a rich white people brand. Tennis, golf , sailing sort of french nautica. Original owner was racist too... Can't speak for now but the quality of clothes used to be really high though.

Yep here in France it used to be the polo / shorts combo to wear if you were a rich white guy on vacation in the French Riviera. Then in the 90s and maybe til early 00s it was also a « ghetto » thing. They started to rebrand to be more « fashion » maybe 10 years ago ? Not my taste though

Good Question. I completely agree. Loved Mike Mo in FF, but his PS part felt like a complete afterthought.
I would probably say Tyshawn. I thought he looked pretty good in Cherry skating the courthouse. But started to look super stiff in Blessed when he became focused on how high he can ollie.

Yeah, DVS/Dill/Mikey connection. I think he's skating nothing but AWS boards in the Jereme Rogers video part. They even took him on some trips, I remember seeing him at a AWS/Habitat demo.
