I love all their cartoony ones, skating one right now as matter of fact. I must not be sophisticated enough to get into the spoons/decorative towels/tiles...
Love those little hand drawn animations they put in between clips. You can tell they put a lot of pride and care into everything they release.
Still can’t get down with the spoons though.

I think some people think if there's "art' on one board and "art" on the next they are ripping each other off.
To draw a similarity between pass port and quasi is just fried.

Love the company. Hating my first board from them. Thing is steep and thick. Ghost popping all over the place. Considering leaving it under my car overnight to flatten it.

I'm an unashamed fan of all things Pass-port so I'm biased as fuck but I love the spoons.
Back in the 70's and 80's in Australia the little ornate spoons were the quintessential souvenir that your Nanna would buy if she visited anywhere. I wouldn't have seen one of those things in 20 years when I first saw them on Pass-port boards. Was immediately taken back to finding them in the drawer at Nan and Pop's place when I was a kid.
Was the first skateboard graphic I had ever seen that evoked a time and place specific to Australia without feeling like an embarrassing cliche, something Pass-port has done again countless times now.
I liked them so much I put one on my wall.
I also like your new avatar pic but Ben from Dr Katz is my favourite you've had so far.

Yeah, a bit easy to “get” the graphics/ art direction/ cultural regencies if you are originally from Aus.
Australian wildflower series and tiles boards were absolutely beautiful!

Those tile boards look great - I almost did a similar series for a local brand but switched up the subject matter and then went on a tangent from there. Pass-Port nailed it.

the toby zoates graphics aren't my thing either. still love pass-port. excellent boards and one of the few companies who's apparel i'm tempted to buy from time to time. kitsch is also the perfect name for their video, it's basically their whole aesthetic.

This pretty much sums it up. They're authentically Australian in a way that often only Australians would notice.
I don't like the second Zoates graphic either, but you can't fault Pass~Port's constant collaboration and support of local artists/friends/etc. They constantly promote and collaborate with local artists, photographers, bands, other companies, other stores, they do weekly radio shows, they co-own a local brewery, they did a board series with a local chef, they collaborate with local pubs, they co-ran the Sydney Skateboard Association which just got two new parks built this year, they own a gallery with monthly residences, they recently toured remote Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory, and they're (by far) the most supportive Australian company in terms of what they offer their team (travel opportunities, funds, video projects, etc). That's just the tip of the iceberg too.
It's really something special they've got going on, I think.

It also feels Australian but in a way that I don’t feel like a poser (for lack of a better word) for getting into their company. 5boro has some amazing board series, but it just feels so NYC that my Southern Californian ass feels weird about riding. I am fully aware that it’s my own hang up, but Cest la vie

Just put a mat or something under it if you already gripped it, so the grip will not move.

Some cheaper woodshop boards will definitely have issues (stress cracks down the length of a cheaper made board from one of the guys I know), but the BBS / Generator wood and a couple of other woodshops I would consider good quality wood had no issues with the car parked on it overnight deal. I even had to redo a couple of them because they bounced right back to where they were when only driving over it, but after parking on it overnight, they are now really nicely mellowed out, still have plenty of spring and pop and people who have skated it also cannot believe I did that. I think I posted the instagram video of it in another thread (and don't want to hijack the Passport appreciation), but this is the pic of it and about where you want to park on it.
Passport and lots of other top brands are all on this same BBS wood.

Passport is definitely one of the local success stories from when I knew Trent from local skate shops and skated the same places here in Brisbane, Australia. His move to Sydney and now global brand status is pretty awesome to see.
I was and still am just another skateboarder, I guess one of millions or more who has seen him come of age, and happily admit I had a Passport board or three over the years, but I still feel the stoke to see the spotlight on his brand and what he has achieved.
Some of those graphics would go straight to the pool room!!!!!
