Title: WTT/WTS Decks - Toy Machine football & monster and Creature cold press
Post by: Sativa Lung on January 15, 2021, 03:47:21 PM
Bought it from a shop online thinking it was one of the PS mellow ones. Its actually BBS, I've never seen a BBS monster before so I'm guessing this was a covid thing? Details -

8.25" x 32" label says 14.5" wb but its actually 14.38"

7" nose 6.8" tail

Medium concave, steepish kicks. Seems to be the same mold as polar 8.25. Tail is a normal bbs shape, nose seems like has a little more taper to it, kinda like the PS ones. Will throw in a sheet of grip if i have any and probably some other various cheap hard goods I don't want that I have sitting around.

Things I would be interested in trades for:

- Indy mids (144 preferred but I'd consider 139/149)
- Ace 44 or 03
-  5.75 ATG mag lights
- MELLOW decks
  * PS Stix 8.25 (8.12 and 8.37 are ok too), if anyone has one of the mellow toy/foundation decks that would be ideal but ill skate almost anything as long as its under 32 length and 14.5wb. No quasi though, I've got like 3 of them on ice.

Alternatively, if you just want to buy it I'll do $60 shipped as long as you're east coast or midwest. If you're west coast it might be a bit more because I sometimes get murdered on shipping to cali or PNW.

Woops forgot the pics

Fascinating!

Same as the standard DLX 8.25 it looks, which are such a solid and rad board if you are into that shape and feel.

I still think that is way better than the Toy boards we had here, which were from somewhere else entirely.

The dimensions are the same but its not the same shape. The nose kinda reminds me of a baker and the tail is pretty standard fare, nothing really notable about it. I don't have an eagle to compare it to but I was under the impression dlx had their own molds so its probably a different mold as well. Its definitely different from the mold dlx uses for the 8.28 x 31.7 shape, which is the only one I had available.

Its got steeper kicks than most of the other BBS boards I checked it against (passport, topx, traffic, birdhouse, that 8.28 antihero, and an older element) but seems to be a pretty good match for the 8.25 x 31.8 polar shape, I figure most people have skated or at least seen one of those so it's a good point of reference. Probably skates really well, but I'm just not really a BBS guy despite the fact that I have a bunch of them.

Adding two more decks for sale or trade. Both are pretty much extinct in the wild.

First one is a Creature cold press 8.25 busqueda de hesh. Cold press with glue, not epoxy like most NHS boards. 14.38 wb, Mellow concave, medium kicks, and the most "fingers of flat" I've ever seen. Skated it twice and rolled my ankle and I'm superstitious so I won't be skating it again. $25 + shipping.

The second one is a Toy Machine 8.5 football - axel Cruysberghs "sect jar" graphic. 14.75 wb, mellow concave, kicks are on the mellow side of medium. Great pop and a really interesting shape but I have no idea how to skate a wb that long. Basically brand new - $25 + shipping.
