Jim's Ramp Jam, the amazing video filled the brim with legendary pros skating Jim Thiebaud's awesome ramp in West Oak (that I got to skate once, and I think I slept overnight there? cant remember for sure) turns 25 this year (in October, to be exact)
A re-mastered version would be pretty epic. What a fucking party. So many babyfaces. Jesus Christ I am old.

I could watch this on repeat and not get sick of it.
Amazing ramp and such a good time in mini ramp / transition skating too.

Ok, you win!!!! :D
But seriously, some of the live jams for comps I have been to have been so crazy - things going every which way and never quite knowing where to look and people getting smashed.
There is a video of a much more low key all in jam at my local and the number of times I have watched that and still see some new detail or random thing I missed when I was there couldn't even compare to this day, I would imagine!
(I often helped MC or judge or something for most of our local events, so often got the front row seat to all the mayhem.)

fuck I was ready to hate on your thread cause we're butting heads in that snowboarding discussion but man....That vid is so epic, I waited about 20 years to watch it. There was an article in Slap at the time it came out and videos were pretty hard to get in Europe at the time. No Internet. I was fully into mini ramp skating back then but my local skate shop in Paris only wanted to watch street and did not want to order it. and I did not want to pay an absurd amount for a video on my own. So I could only imagine. Was not disappointed when I could finally watch it.

Get this, my best story from Jim's Ramp Jam is actually about the lovely I met while waiting for the pisser, because I ran into her again at an event at Phelp's Widowmaker not too long after & she wound up treating me to dinner, a private hot-tub, an intimate lingerie show & a romp.
Anyway, that's my fondest memory, but as for the skaters, standouts for me were Curtis, Cards, Phil. That rafter drop in & all the missed attempts prior, was pretty hype too. It was cool seeing some of the locs mix it up with bigger name, national players.
I had just moved back to town after spending a few years in Seattle & wasn't quite sure what was doing with the scene (meaning, I felt like I was back on the outside looking in,) so it was real nice to be at this event, in the midst of so many of the best rippers of the day. It also laid the ground work for what would later develop into an industry gig for a few years.
