I wish her and Prince had gotten together in the studio - but this is as close as it gets i guess. They did some things together live, but always leaves a little to be desired for me.

I'm really happy that there's a Chaka thread though.

And sorry for bringing any negativity, but I really did not enjoy that Aretha cover. Maybe I'm just too bonded to the Doobies, but I felt she kind of undid all the bits that make the song so strong. But love and respect where it's due, Aretha is an absolute Queen!

A proper Prince x Chaka album would have been amazing if it was the right time... Unfortunately it never happened in this universe
