That was a treat! Wacky 5050 to complete stop and the shuvit to nose manual down the mini stairs were my favorite. So many moments where I audibly gasped and laughed. Jaako really is one of my favorites right now.

Absurd levels of skills and creativity all around, what a feast. Jaako is just out of this world, and I enjoyed this one much more than that last DC part he had.

Good to see fellow finns getting some shine, even if it is with Element! Was stoked when I got Thrasher in the mail yesterday and saw a full-page ad for the vid. Great, original skateboarding that also looks good from both! Nice filming too on couple of the clips.
I think Jaakko is the best thing that Element has going on right now if they want their brand to survive in skateboarding.

It's happening, focusing more on Euro and Japan teams. Element is in a better place without that dude Johnny involved. He's probably out beating his drum with bam in the woods somewhere.

It's impressive how many good skaters come from Finland, with only 5 million inhabitants and crappy weather
The weather might be a benefitting factor. When you can only skate outside for half the year you might appreciate the opportunities you get more. Plus for a long time there weren’t good skateparks widely available so you were forced to skate mainly street. Indoor facilities for the wintertime have been even more rare so I think most people won’t skate year round.
I have heard that the dominant theory in youth development currently is that generally the great athletes have exposure to many different sports and hobbies growing up so when they eventually focus on one they have a broader base to start building on. People like Tiger Woods are more rare.
