Title: New 16-bit styled TMNT game (trailer+gameplay)
Post by: pops on March 12, 2021, 09:52:08 PM
I used to play a ton of Turtles in Time and Hyperstone Heist in my childhood. There's a new game coming with the same art style and it looks fun.

This is sick, I hope there are customization options for characters like how Castle Crashers did.

I feel the weight of pockets full of quarters looking at this.

Read an article about this and they’re teasing non-turtle playable characters which would be sick

That would be cool!
Those sprites are just so beautifuI. I love the attention to detail like every character having different running animation. Mikey's my favorite.  ;D

I want underwater levels, surf/skate levels, turtles in gundam suits fighting giant shredder, fuckin' EXPLOSIONS, secret passageways,  power-ups, power-downs, special moves, jammin' grooves (soundtrack), and April's well-drawn bewbs.

Sewer-surfing level in Battletoads was so hard.

Very true, but there’s been some good Turtles ones. The Battletoad ones are just so fast and don’t have enough visual indicators as to what’s coming.

I think it’d be cool if you could play as Casey Jones.  It only dawned on me as an adult that if he were in the real world, he would be locked away in either a prison or insane asylum for going around and beating people to death with sporting equipment.  But as a kid I thought he was cool as shit.

Does anyone remember that TMNT fighting game that was on snes and genesis?  I had the genesis one and it was pretty weird.  It had all these off-brand guys like Ray Fillet and this big beetle.  The stages were kinda nightmarish.

As cool as the concept is, there is no gameplay footage. Man I hate these fake ass trailers.
No gameplay footage? it might as well be Skate 4 featuring Dr Dre's long awaited Detox album

Turtles N Time was my favorite, but I played this shit in the arcade back in the 1800s

Go to the very end of the trailer for gameplay footage.

How many of y’all used to get down with Legendary Axe?

Edit: Legendary Axe did not make it onto this package??? That’s like a Bad Company greatest hits album w/o Bad Company the song. Ninja Gaiden is in there so it’s not a total fail...

This was aired yesterday during the Nintendo Indie World Live. It shows a little bit more gameplay and it's looking amazing. Still no date release just the "later this year" bullshit.

Yeah, gameplay looks tight. They're obviously adding new types of moves which is great because the old games combat was extremely repetitive. The dash looks nice too.

Back in ... I think 1991 or 1992, me and my homie Tim used to get fucked up and go to the mall and play TMNT arcade game before going skating. Some of the best times. This game reminded me of that, although I will probably not do various drugs before playing it
