I’ve only snapped a couple but it’s always been on a kick flip. How about you?
-
Backside flips, easily. I don’t break many boards but back when I still skated stairs and gaps or could pop over stuff with backside flips they definitely resulted in some broken noses.
-
Frontside lipslides on flatbars. Guaranteed board break in 3 tries or less. It's gotten to the point that when I'm tired of skating a certain board I go for front lips execution style.
-
Ollie
-
Bigspins and backside 180s off stuff but not like recently or anything, backside flip sounds like same deal
-
Sw front shuv, sw tre, frontside flip
-
FS lipslides on rails.
-
the 900
-
Switch front shove, any kind of shove really but that ones quite deadly for me. Halfcab heel too.
-
Switch hardflip.
-
Ollie to disaster on ramps or banks.
-
FS lipslides on rails.

Yall both should try mounting rails on the bottom of your board, you might feel like a square from hell but fuck if it doesn't extend your board's life! It feels so good to do tricks that used to explode your board.
-
The fakie heel flip that's like a front heel used to be the one, lately I have been getting them to the point where I can do them more casually but I always crucify myself before trying them
-
Probably a yr ago, Varial Heelflip. .if I skated Girl boards everything
-
fs lipslides
-
Used to be a really big fan of breaking the nose off doing 360 flips.

Was gonna say this, except behind the back front truck bolts. I rarely break boards but this last year I broke two like that doing flatground 360 flips.
-
nose grinds. It’s now my best trick.
-
Front shove Manny tail breaker
Back 180 down something nose breaker
Hasn't happened in years but had a time where I kept breaking boards in the centre on frontside boardslide pop outs. Not on the landing or when I got on the rail but when I'd go to pop out the board would just snap
-
front shove, lipslides. and i don't even do lipslides
-
Kickflip. Landing with back foot on edge of tail. Usually cracks in front of back bolts.
-
Kickflip fs lipslides I broke 3 boards in 1 day learning them on the flat bar. Or kickflip back boards.
-
i just break my bolts
-
BackTail fingerflip to fakie.
-
FS Disasters / FS Lipslides
-
Front shoves have killed more boards than anything else. 3 have bit the dust in the last 6 months and the last one was just yesterday. I have a love/hate relationship with that trick.
-
fs lipslides used to be the one but i can do them well enough now that i don’t break boards when trying them anymore. fs 180s are still kinda sketchy, i tend to land on my nose with those and i’ve broken a couple decks as a result
-
any day I go out skating and don't snap the tail off on a flatground heelflip it's a good day. I try to do them more flicked and less stomped out nowadays but the fear remains
-
It used to be landing too nose-heavy on fakie tre, but I haven’t broken a board in a long time.
-
3flips on flat, fs shoves down stuff and fs lipslides on rails
-
Lots of front shoves I see…I land in the middle of my board on those sometimes and wonder when it will happen. I don’t pop very high on them though so I may be safe.
I forgot…I used to like to half cab ollie off of curbs and a low ledge, and that claimed 2-3 decks’s tails, but this was like 1999 and boards broke if you farted on them.
-
Fs Lip

exactly this for me too
-
ollie down stairs to manual
fakie blindslide heelflip
-
Hardflips. I back seat and stomp.
-
Sw front shuv here as well. Wonder what makes them so prone to breaking boards compared to reg pop shuvs
-
Flat ground fs flips
-
Frontside lipslides.
-
ollie down stairs to manual
fakie blindslide heelflip
Is it your boards break from people focusing them when you don't say fakie front heel.
Joke.
-
Backside flips
-
Fs flips, I land so nose heavy on em, I do em where I land on the nose and pivot the last 90 degrees or so, so I’ll end up cracking my nose a lot on them if I accidentally stomp down a bit too hard.
Hardflips, I land real heavy on my back foot, sometimes if I land with my back foot too far back on the tail it’ll crack it.
Switch fs shuvs, doesn’t happen as much as with fs flips or hardflips, but here n there I’ll land too hard on my back foot and crack my board.
-
hardflips for sure
backside flips in second place
-
Flip back boards
-
not much of a board breaker but it always happens on fakie flips...I land too heavy on the front foot and they crack at the bolts
-
Fs flip
-

I do the same thing. I reserve myself and just nollie into them until I'm ready to send the old boy out to pasture.
-
My illusion flip-esque hardflips and frontside flips are death knells for decks.
-
Only ever snapped boards doing ollies down shit. But I am a) a manlet and b) probably too much of a fanny to do big tricks down big shit.
-
Back when I could do waist-high front shoves, those.
Snapped so many noses it's insane.
-
Tend to snap tails blasting bonelesses
-
Tend to snap tails blasting bonelesses
the punishment fits the crime...maybe a just world after all
-
I have them now, but growing up, I broke more boards on flat ground frontside flips than any other trick. EASILY have broken 25-30 boards on that one.
-
Heelflip front board. I’ll snap my board 7/10 times
-
I'm old and don't break boards often any more but it used to be FS lipslides on ledges and 360 flips. I almost never did lipslides until I was ready to say goodbye to a board. 360 flips, I used to land with my feet right in the middle for some reason, felt good but busted a good few decks that way. Other common board breakers were pop shuvs down gaps/stairs, ollie disaster in transition and fakie ollie hang ups...
-
Hard flips, I land in the middle, I’m not Herman
-
Front lips are obviously one filthy mistress as it pertains to breaking boards, but fakie tres have also been a repeat offender for me surprisingly
-
on flat: inward heels, sw inward heels
on rails: flip front board, bs bigspin fs board
down stuff: bs bigspins, bs heelflips
-
I’ve never accidentally broke a board but I’ve focused
-
i broke the tail off one board doing a 36o flip off something when i was a kid. couldn't break a board if a tried, i don't focus boards as a rule, because it's shit and wasteful - but there have been a few times in my life where i have been very upset and stress has gotten the better of me. try as i might, in those situations i have only ever gotten as far as cracking my board and then keep skating it for like 2 weeks after.
-
Flat ground fs flips
Same, never snapped a board on a rail trick but the 4 times I have in the past year have been from FS Flips or Kickflips. Doesn't help that I stomp those tricks down instead of catching them lofty.
-
Never clean snapped, but I always cracked boards flipping into boardslides
-
Flat bar FS lipslides
-
Fucking switch inward heel flips. I usually get a better snap from doing it on the tail but I have a tendency of leaning back on the landing. Foot lands on the nose and……whammy
-
anything shove it related, except for fs shoves. but i'm also a big boy so just pushing could break the board ....
-
halfcab flips easily
-
FS 360 ollie. Couldn't get them around on flat so I'd always have to do it off a small drop. Snapped the tail off 4 boards on "makes", so I just gave 'em up.
-
Frontside flip
-
tre flip lip on anything is a board breaker. i stopped doing them. it became an expensive trick
-
I crack the nose on fakie 360 flip if I land too far forward. It's claimed 3 victims.
-
Switch front shuv is a killer for me. I think front lip has taken a few also.
-
I never break boards by accident but for some reason nollie heels love to completely disintegrate my nose from the bolts up. 3 boards gone that way
-
Heelflip Shuv or FS Bigspin down any drop is a guaranteed tail snap for me... I don't even bother anymore. Super annoying 'cause they are really easy to land on, but the board breaks.
and Ollie, of course.
-
Used to be a really big fan of breaking the nose off doing 360 flips.
This. Jesus. Went through five boards one month. Broke noses off of all of them. All flatground 360 flips. Was a harsh learning curve, but I usually don’t land so nose heavy these days. Now that I’ve said that, I’m sure tomorrow will bring a snapped nose into my life.
-
Switch Front Shuvs
-
Frontside flips, broken one down a six stair and one jumping off a ramp to the side of the local bowl, I was actually trying a kickflip, but since it broke because I overturned it I'll count it as frontside.
