He touches on something at the end. Currently Ben left. Jaws got hurt and hangs in AZ, clint is in OKC and It does't seem like any of the California people skate together. Team in name only isn't as fun
KOTR era birdhouse was great. They seemed really tight at that time.

i think that i mixed this dude up with Clint Walker for a really long time due to the name similarity/Birdhouse connection and only recently have realized that he's a different guy and is actually pretty cool and has sick style and not fuckin wack like Clint lol it was really cool to see him skate handrails with such immense ease in this, clearly just entirely unphased by the idea of skating them. seems like a down to earth, genuine dude. hope he gets his due in the industry

i think that i mixed this dude up with Clint Walker for a really long time due to the name similarity/Birdhouse connection and only recently have realized that he's a different guy and is actually pretty cool and has sick style and not fuckin wack like Clint lol it was really cool to see him skate handrails with such immense ease in this, clearly just entirely unphased by the idea of skating them. seems like a down to earth, genuine dude. hope he gets his due in the industry

He’s way sicker than expected as a person but I feel like he’s never getting a legit board sponsor again. I get why he left birdhouse but I feel like he approached it wrong . Should’ve came to Tony with a rebuild plan where they kick off jaws and Clint and build up again around him and Shawn hale.

You're not gonna rebuild a team with a guy in his mid 30's, who works a full time job.
Seems like Clive just missed the team camaraderie that was on display for for KOTR & for the filming of Saturdays.

Can't remember the last time learning more about a pro skater actually made me like them more.
Dude goes hard, has a great kickflip and seems pretty down to earth. Hope he lands somewhere good.

Seems like a cool dude. Definitely deserving of a solid board sponsor, something better than Birdhouse at least. I don’t know if it’ll happen given the nature of his departure, plus he seems to keep himself and doesn’t really seem to be looking for one right now. Still, I’m looking forward to another part.
Fuck it, get him on Limousine. He can skate NYC rails with Cyrus.

I didn‘t think Clive was a jock from King of the Road. I thought he was a jock when he screamed to his bros before trying and landing a massive crooked grind and then celebrating in a big bro down with Clint Walker. That was in a video called “Saturdays“. I also thought the whole team was pretty jocky when they did keg stands in the Deepend of the bowl at the end of a demo at my local park. They did try to dry the bowl after, though. Cleaning up afterwards wasn‘t very jocky.
Clive does comes across as a nice guy in interviews.

This interview was like the pals questions interview with Mason, where I went in thinkin I didn't really care for them, they felt jocky and bland, then realise they're actually just chill af. It's true that the world of pro skaters is a personality cult, and I've been converted.

Can somebody eli5 why you all don’t think he’ll get on another board brand? As far as I can tell he’s had a few big time parts with huge hammers over the past couple years and still seems productive. Also seems to have a good head on his shoulders so I don’t feel like he’s alienating anybody with his personality or life choices.
I’m not on social media so if he’s wack there then I’ve totally missed it.

I miss Mike so much. He would’ve been top of the game if he was still skating with us today.. Skating with him in person was unreal, and he was always tryin to give people free shit he didn’t want/need from his boxes. Best dude.
