Like it’s not that hard. I feel like if I’d started at whatever age he did and had a bunch of pros wanting to hang with me I’d at least figure those out.
-
Never even tried
-
Cus he can barely ollie. Last thing I saw from him he couldn't even pop into a 5050, all ride on grinds.

who?

cause he hasn't practiced them enough
-
He needs to improve his lean.
-
If supermodels were blowing me left and right I wouldn’t have time to learn kick flips either
-
I've seen literal children force kickflips after a day or two, no reason why he couldn't land one. Maybe he's too busy pumping out mediocre music and being rich. Maybe he just used skateboarding as a marketing gimmick? I know that's NEVER been done before by ANY celebrity.

Improper bushing durometer
-
Wheelbase (obviously)
-
I’m on the boat where I think kickflips are a bit hard to learn. First flip trick for most people; a different game and bigger consequence if you miss than a shuv or 180 type of trick. It took me some time to figure it out rolling.
My guess is that he probably doesn’t skate as much as he wants to and when he does, he wants to do tricks he already knows
-
I don’t think he skates consistently enough, I imagine he’s an extremely busy guy

Jamal Smith and Peter Hewitt can’t kickflip either and they’re sick.
Edit- and AVE said somewhere that he can’t do a regs kickflip anymore.

Who were you around? Little nyjah and rayssa?

Seems more of a heelflip guy…..
-
Lil Wayne’s skateboarding style and trick selection is so bad it’s to the point where it’s actually amazing. Last clip I watched of him he boardslide a foot and a half high flat-down rail without popping his tail. It was like some sort of unintentional pressure/slappy boardslide that I couldn’t replicate if I tried for hours.

Fakie shoves fine
-
Cos he still drops homophobic slurs into his shitty music.

There I go thinking the only thing lil Wayne and I had in common was wanting to clap nicki’s cheeks and being kinda scared of C-Muder.
-
I’d rather see him no comply flip like maybe off a parking block on a hubba of into an a frame.
I bet if I skated his park I could show him some killer shit better than a rocket kickflip
I bet he’s like me. Fakie heels. That’s my sting one. Half cab heel with in 3.
I throw down all switch and shit. Bone the fuck out of it.
Lil Wayne should be doing non compliance combos. It fits the style.
-
Back side flip might also be way cooler too. That might be worth it.
-
Can he ollie even?

No, he can only ollie odd.

He is good. I have the Milli single with the instrumental version. One of my favorite records. I used to mash up that with helmet’s unsung.
Super heavy shit was a perfect fit.

If I learnt to kickflip at 35 years old, having not skated for 12 years... any skateboarder can.
It's more of a psychological block IMO. When I was a teenager I pretty much convinced myself I couldn't and never would learn them- approached it with a different mindset in my 30s and suddenly there it was.
-
Sometimes i say "Le Wayn" like he's french. That probably has something to do with it. His age combined with his history of lean consumption can't help either.
-
hes on his last pair of supra skytops so hes not trying to ruin them. the muska needs to send him a care package

In France my buddy bought a bunch of cough medicine over the counter and we brought them to Germany then had a goofy night drinking a bunch of that shit during a night of drinking alcohol.
This is all to say that I think you're on to something.

Props man!
I have a friend who started skating at 30 and 5 years later he probably lands a kickflip every other session. he also often come close to landing 360 flips and heelflips I am shure he will get those too eventually. He does skate three times a week though. he loves it. I get a little jealous sometimes when he does a basic trick for the first time and is completely stoked.

If this is hating on a rich rapper….fine…..but who gives a shit if you can’t do a kickflip…..

I don’t! I’ve landed exactly one this year. You can be a good skater and not do them (not that I’m good cause I’m not). I was just remembering how he said he was going to be the greatest but I figure the greatest skater in the world would be able to kickflip.

Plus like, if you can't switch flip or nollie flip then I guess it ain't that easy huh? I can kickflip pretty good, but I could spend the next ten years trying to nollie flip and never get it, so I'd never clown on someone who can't kickflip.

honestly who cares, the dude obviously loves it and is having fun
-
I agree, I think it's very much a psychological thing. I know for years I could do the motion just right, just never put my front foot back on it. just kind of a mental F YOU my brain was giving me, like it's afraid of me enjoying skateboarding too much. The first time I actually committed was around some regional heroes that came to visit our rural DIY. That was the best and only good kickflip I ever did.
-
He should become a heel flipper imo.
Kick flip has been ruined. I get yelled at so much I hardly been skating in the day time.
I said to one guy do a head spin. He thought about fighting me but I was probably out of focus or something? When they got closer they thought the right thought.
It’s never a good idea to fight a skateboarder. You probably ain’t going to win unless you been training and shit.
After 39 years of eating shit there’s very little you can do to hurt me physically and trying to fight me over some dumb shit just hurts my feelings yo
-
I think he's doing pretty good for someone who started in his 30s. And he's at least 10 years deep or more at this point, so I'd say he's in it cause he loves it and not as part of a fad. the two benches I skate everyday came from his now-defunct skatepark so I'm grateful for Wayne.

I was not a fan of his till I found out he was one of us. Also crash money was a horrendous label pushing out tracks that needed way way more thought.
Maybe picking up the board increased his style in the studio because he got good right around the time he started skateboarding.
Trash Money.

yoooo was that switch
-
Jonah Hill just taught him actually
-
Lil Wayne is 39 years old I know SLAP of all places isn’t giving this man grief over not doing kickflips. 99% of posters on here at that age have stopped doing flip tricks entirely
-
honestly who cares, the dude obviously loves it and is having fun
-
He should do noncompliance 360.
-
I don’t doubt that he loves skating and that’s cool in my book, just think it’s funny that for someone who always talks about how cool and tough he is he’s pretty damn uncoordinated
-
It’s because we are not the same, he is a Martian.

As a mediocre 33 years old skater I back this
I've learned more tricks/variations in the last 1.5 years than ever before just cause I dedicated more time in searching for the right foot position, arms, speed and stuff like that. As a youngster I just wanted to do tricks but didnt wanted to spend time on the analysis of variables.
-
It’s because we are not the same, he is a Martian.
Remember that misfits song “I sucked off a Martian”

You’re a Gold Goon but what’s a goon to a goblin.
-
The best “rapper who skates” is definitely Nakel Smith and it’s a bit ironic because he is also the worst “skater who raps”
-
No cos that would move him from Lil Wayne to Medium Wayne and that name is already taken.
-
skating downtown the other week with my friend, we passed some bros at a bar outside who yelled the thing and I just didn’t even look back, popped and landed a crispy one. heard them all cheering behind me as i kept goin. top 10 best feelings

We say it
I slid into a Martian. Ooooo oooh oh.
It’s quite old school here. Pre not a real reunion era shit.
I saw all three of the first round on mg fits. My lil brother’s first stage dove was at the Middle East. I snuck him in because it wasn’t all ages.
We jumped off the railing on the left side. No one was looking at us. I landed on 70% heads. Next thing I feel is someone pulling on my legs. Pulling me down. I hit the ground fist up!
Everyone is looking at me smiling.
I look down there’s my 12 yro 4’2 85 lbs brother looking up at me under the crowd.
I pick him up and throw him up top. Packed house.
They throw him on stage the music stops right when he hits the stage.
He’s completely dressed exactly like glen danzig. He looked exactly like him hair gloves shirt and boots.
They said something to the effect of take back your life size Danzig doll!
The show continued.
He had jumped right behind me tho. Trying to use me as a floaty or something.
Time of his life.
I’m not a fan of their later stuff at all. Horrendous bull shit. They had not been writing music yet at the point. I don’t think it was even sold out because more homies who didn’t have ID got in and we danced the night away.
Good show. Tight crowd 20 rows deep no pit. Little bit of circle pit. Not much. Was too crowded.
very reminiscent of the very early 90s pop punk wave pool style shit of axis and Avalon cali core shows.
I saw Green Day there second time they was in town. The burned down the house. Best crowd response I’ve ever seen at a show.
But
I’m a Danzig fan but really I only earth ad Samhain and Danzig one and two.
I don’t Green Day much post dookie. Blowing up ruined all that was beautiful.
I lost my virginity after that show.
