To see Danny Renaud still skating at that level is insane. From that brutal fall to slowly building back up I haven’t seen that level of footage from him in a long time. He was skating handrails and hubbas in that part.
Ross Norman killed it too.

A friend of mine showed Renaud and some dudes around Dallas and said he was cool. Apparently dudes humor and ability to crack jokes is unmatched. Said he was the funniest dude.

Was just thinking how much I'd enoy a new Politic part and BOOM! Renaud & Norman hell friggin yeah.
My only gripe is that 60fps does no favors for VX footage and makes it look slower. And also, Danny's track was a little too slow & one note but maybe it could grow on me.
That said, still 2 legends!

Also def not an asshole, have been around both of them and they’re lovely humans who rip and can both switch back tail really well

After watching that Danny part again, have to say I loved it man. While it’s not his first part since his injury, it really felt like a triumph. Compare it to his super depressing LOTM part, seems to come full circle here. No doubt about it, he’s the greatest skater.

As good as it gets. Any Ross Norman part is all you could ask for. And for anyone saying Danny Renaud looked more stiff, i’d disagree. this is the closest he’s been to habitat era form since he’s come back from a situation where he could have never walked again. The nollie fs flip manny and sw back noseblunt could have easily fit into mosaic.

Danny looked awesome it's great to see him back to looking like his old self again. I met him briefly back in like 2013 or 2014 at Love. Seemed like it may have been his first time back in Philly in years but I'm not really sure. I think it was kinda early and there weren't a ton of people skating yet but, he just skated over to me and was like hey I'm Danny. Brief pleasantries and he seemed really nice. I didn't say anything but I was thinking damn I know who you are dude. I guess he was only like 29 or 30 at the time, and I knew about his injury, but he looked like he had the leg strength of a 50 year old. Looked like getting up on the ledges was a struggle, so it's sick to see him in his late 30s now skating like nothing ever even happened. Hyped for him this part was great, and hopefully there's more to come.

renaud mosaic era is my all time favourite. everything was just perfect. i also just discovered he may have been the first to do the ollie over over the gate and down the stairs on sanborn in silver lake. does anyone know if that footage was used in anything? i stayed in the apartment building right next to it, (my window was the top directly behind the fence in the below photo)

Met Ross a while back at the Volunteers video premier in Baltimore. Played pool, shot the shit with him and met his wife. Very laid back dude and was hyped on how he juggled skating and family. Props

FWIW i wasn't trying to start an injury competition. I just used B. Turner to point out that for someone who also seriously fucked up his legs, he didn't look too stiff when he sw hardflipped Wallenburg. And in Danny's defense upon a second watch it was like two or three clips where I thought he looked a little stiff. I'll always be a fan tho.

Our standards and expectations for people in their late 30s and early 40s has been seriously skewed by the likes of Reynolds, AVE, and Guy Mariano amongst others.
That Renaud footage was some of the best skating done by a person at that age EVER!
It’s only that much more impressive when you factor in the injury. Hoping Renaud gets the proper shine from this part that is deserved.
