Never had with pickle but have had peanut butter and cucumber sandwiches many times before. I'll have to level up and try that with the homegrown pickles next.

I too once looked at things from a grade school sandwich lunch context. I matured in high school into more of a dime-bag-for-my-lunch-money lunch context. It was a little more up river, but I've since chilled it out with my oatmeal lunch reference frame.
