New part from BDK, filmed by Ben Chadourne
buncha really good pants in this part.
-
The back 180 over the bar then full cab flip over the next was crazy.
-
Those were the fastest 4 minutes of my life, I could watch him skate Paris forever.
Also huge props on editor for not making a third of the vid pure credits
-
Sure is a lot of slo mo for a Bobby that is neither Puleo or Worrest
-
One of the best parts of the year IMO. It's seriously getting me psyched to skate. Only minor complaint was that the filming was a bit spasmodic at times, but still excellent overall.
-
Wow. Absolutely loved that. So so good.
-
Mesmerizing
-
Tasteful shuv outs
-
very good would watch again
-
Some atrocious filming in this one :/ good part though!

Agree on all fronts.
I wish filmers would understand that moving the camera around a bunch rarely results in "better" footage.
Bobby has a real nice trick selection though, never really know what he's about to whip up.
-
fuck yep
-
Elite.
-
What a killer! If soty seasons brings up parts like this one or Louie’s within a couple of days apart I’m not complaining about the stupid rat race it has become.
-
Oh fuck yeah this just made my day. BDK is an all time favorite. Perfect style and impeccable flick. This will be on repeat. Zoom out a little tho, I wanna see my dude’s graceful style in full frame
-
Absolute Don, that kickflip nosegrind around 1:20 odd sounded so sick
-
*bow in humble adoration*
What a banger in style, technique and music!
-
goddamn
-
reflexively said “oh shit” when I saw BC’s insta story. Psyched for this
-
amazing skateboarding
some strong strobeck vibes on some clips there but the skating is so good it gets a pass
-
Guess none of those guys watching could check if a bikes coming...
Still very solid part.
-
as good as it gets.
-
first bobby with hair clips?
my goodness. my favorite part of his yet.
-
great vid.
bobby with hair > bobby with beanie.
i'm over that look. kind of a reversed louie lopez situation.
-
my fav part of the year so far!
-
I like how he selective he is with his footage. Never a mediocre clip.
Insane board control
-
Love it before I even watch
-
Daaang.
Definitely one of those skaters that's in the upper echelon as far as skill and style go.
-
I said fuck out loud four* times
The rest i said them in my mind
Wow
That fakie back 5-0 front shove caught me off guard, just
Like everything else. Woah.
Krod was a tease, as usual:(
hair bobby or bald bobby? I dig both but hair is sex
I like to believe bobby focused his board in the switch front shove bs 5050 because he suddenly remembered he was bald so he waited for his hair to grow back and get that line:)
Edit*
-
Dylanesque
-
that was incredible
BDK has such good power, trick selection, and style
-
That was fucking phenomenal.
The best kickflips
The best manuals
my good god Bobby is a Canadian treasure
-
It's Bobby, bitch.
-
i wanna shave my head now
-
his pop out of tricks is higher than many people's pop into them.
-
That kf back nose grind on the steps towards the beginning was so satisfying
-
his last part was BOB, this is BOBBY
next one will be ROBERT?
-
loved the wallie on the human riding moving bike.
-
Bob is the best, flawless as per usual.
Only thing i'd change is the song because i know he has a great taste in music. Not that the music was bad.
-

does anybody remember when this guy was on the canadian equivalent of Sweet Sixteen or some reality show? i remember seeing it but cant find it anywhere.

He didn’t need to kickflip that 3-stair five feet off the ground, but he did. And I like that.
-
Probably my favorite skater right now
-
Love it before I even watch

He’s got the best half cab flick in the game. Obviously carried over to full cab
-
Immediately shopping for pants longsleeve white shirts and chuck 70s after this. Thunders too.
Bobby does have the best style and skill combo though. I just keep rewatching.
BOBBY > All the Louie Lopez parts this year

Only part this year to touch Heitor’s.

Post some poorly filmed clips because the filming in this was very good. The last three clips are really the only time his torso is ever cut off and it works because they’re all at the same spot showing you how much board control this fool has. It’s tasteful.

Great part though. I really liked the switch back nosegrind up the ledge with the perfect pop out towards the beginning.

Seriously, Ben is one of the best HD filmers without a doubt.
This part was everything I could've hoped for and more. No hype, just dropped randomly.
One of those dream collaborations between a skater and a filmer you think of in your head and then it actually comes to fruition.

The back tail back 3. Dude cut off like 3/4 of his body. Worst filmed clip in it. Followed by the kickflip front nose to fakie, chopped off his torso for the whole trick. Other than those two the rest was good. Maybe a little too zoomed in on the manuals but that’s more acceptable IMO
-
Back tail back 3 was fine. You see his whole body as he pops in and it's zoomed to show the nature of the spot. The trick isn't compromised at all.
Flip front nose wasn't filmed great but whatever. This is a million billion katrillion times better than the Supreme zoom.
-
This serial killer sure can skate.
canadian psycho

I can’t believe it’s possible to skate this technical and powerful in Red Chuck Taylor Converse, PS Stix wood and 56-58 mm wheels. That was shocking.

I didn't like that there are clips of him smiling. I like my BDK to look miserable in his clips

I didn't think the filming was bad, but there's this pattern that most people seem to be following with their shots.
1. zoom in on face/torso or some rando object
2. pan out at the moment the skater pops to barely show the obstacle
3. pan back into either the face or the shoes or some random shit the second the skater lands. It doesn't have to be a great focal point, it just has to be ZOOMED IN
It feels like the camera is constantly moving around to somehow mimic the skater's movements, instead of focusing on capturing a scene. Sometimes it works out amazing, half of the of the time it results in busy, semi-missed clips.
Props to the filmer Ben for filming this part, I appreciated it.
EDIT
just went back for a rewatch, actually a lot less busy then I remember. Still though, I just want some simple filming. I'm already starting to like cross-locked 50's, don't make me like the Billy Filmy
-
I liked it. Maybe the frame rate on the slo-mo clips if I’m being supercritical. Otherwise I dig it.
The tricks and the fit were superb. I liked the editing. Some clips got a little sideways but otherwise taking some risk. I’m a big fan of getting in front of the subject in lines.
Stand out tricks - cab flip over the bar combo.
The kick flip at the beginning of his combo line in Paris.
-
fucking bravo .
-
Immaculate technique.
-
Awesome part. Rad skating and rad spots. Shame about all the converse.
-
Amazing
-
We already know our dude can shred, but he amazes me every time with his trick selection. On point, tasteful.
Filming hit the middleground between Strobeckesque sideways zoom overindulgence and great HD filming. Ben is dope. Only complaint would be that trendy slo-mo that's not even slo-mo but 0.1x speed shitfuckery.
Somehow, the sequence that stayed with me the most was back to back clips if front 3 and back 3 over the ledge into the bank. Suhhhh-weet.
-
Great skating, horrible editing and horrible filming. Wtf

i liked how you could really see how he placed his back foot on it because i am learning back tails right now and i was kinda wondering how people put their foot when they want to do a trick out of it. i noticed the major problem i always had was my heel would stick into the ledge, so once i started moving my toes off the board and forcing my heel into the pocket more, my slides got a lot better. if you notice, the way he does it he curves his back foot sideways a bit so his toes can grip the pocket so he can pop that bs 360 at the end.
lol i got this this guy confused with Brandon Del Bianco when they were both little kids . i just knew it was some little kid that had 3 names starting with a B from toronto.

-
Wow amazing. Anyone who doesn’t love this needs to reevaluate their life.

About the filming, I think the fs pupecki grind at the beginning of the line was pretty botched.
About the rest, what can I say. Bobby + Paris+ Ben Chadourne, incredible combo.
-
Rewatched at least ten times now.
My criticism of the filming is totally nitpicking. I prefer seeing full frame for the land/roll away and more zoomed in on the approach. Just a personal taste thing. Overall the filming was excellent.
Bobby's tricks are exquisite. The fakie backside nose grind front shuv is such a deceptively hard trick. He finessed that shuv out so good.
I don't understand how he flips his board so well in Chuck Taylors.

Could they be a new version if this model https://poshmark.com/listing/Converse-Player-LT-Ox-Egret-White-Bobby-De-Keyzer-Cons-Pro-Mens-Size-11-6215a6e357600694ed2f5cbf

Does anyone know what's up with those blackout/white logo pro leathers? He had them on in that quasi tour video also and I've been wondering if we'll ever get a crack at them. Pro leathers are a hot commodity these days
was wondering this too, they look dope as hell

I don’t think so, since those are vulcs and the Pro Leathers are cupsoles. Cons have done a pair or two of the Pro Leathers in their skate line before, so maybe they’re giving one to Bobby?

does anybody remember when this guy was on the canadian equivalent of Sweet Sixteen or some reality show? i remember seeing it but cant find it anywhere.
How is no one else dying to see this?!
I know he was on some sort of skating reality show when he was pretty young, maybe 12 or so. I came across a clip from it awhile ago while searching for footy of him. Looked like something sorta similar to Slap's One in a Million if I'm remembering correctly.
Edit... here it is, not sure if more clips can be found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2adWc-eiCFQ&ab_channel=AmbitionSkatecamp

just re-watched this for about the 10th time. One of the craziest things in it for me is how fast he pushes to flip into that front nose gap out.

lol seeing those clips from the Rail now... I definintely skated with him and TJ Rogers back then ;D i was like 19-20 so they were probably like 13-14. they were always at that skatepark when i came on a saturday. the big guy talking on the mic was a local skate shop owner in my area for many years. it seems like everyone who got sponsored in Ontario went through him in some way or another.

he usually skates boards with flat ass tails and that helps make the leverage feel more "normal"
shout out ben Degros for that tip

Lil bump...
Such a good part.
Echoing all the love for the switch bs nosegrind up the ledge. The way he came out of it sealed the deal for me.
Switch front shove 50-50 was fantastic - loved the speed leading into it and the pushes he took to the next trick.
Took me a lotta years to appreciate Bobby; his level of control and execution have always been incredible, but his style took time to grow on me.
Personal Downsides: Not a fan of the filming on
The frontside flip to fakie manual - I see what Chadourne was going for but it just made me confused and dizzy. The camera definitely missed most of the fs flip and that is a real shame.
Kickflip fs noseslide to fakie - I wanted to see more of his whole form. Love that trick and that he popped out into the street.
Anyway, Bobby’s great and we are blessed to witness.
-
One of my other current favorites is Antwuan. I'd like him to be getting shine like this but also Bobby here deserves more then he gets even. They just both do but Antwuan kinda doesn't get any. I guess he does too much park footy.

These two and Will Marshall give or take were all the same dude…..sick to see them now skating so differently.
-
now that you mention it. I think there was a day I was skating with Will Marshall when the Mississauga Iceland skatepark first opened. There was this mini grant patterson looking guy throwing down switch fs shove down the 9 stair. i wish i didnt lose those photos. I was always wondering who that was.
