Anna Kruse was a German transition and street skater and she and her 10 month old boy were murdered by her ex husband.
Next time you see a guy act or talk "tough" at the park, remember: none are safe until all are safe. Zero tolerance against violence and misogynists.
After reading through the detailed account in the GoFundMe, this is sadly also another story of police refusing to do their actual job and sending a woman and her baby to their doom.

Fuck.. I remember her from the old contests here in Berlin. I can't wrap my head around those weak men, that can't handle the ending of a relationship. Killed the Baby in front of her eyes, killed her and it took him two tries to kill himself. The story is all over the Greek newspapers. It fills me with sadness and anger. Anna was a great skater and a rad human.

This is heartbreaking - shed a tear getting the news. skate with Anna just once ca. 15 years ago, she was still a girl but full of energy and had a huge smile while skating, it was obvious she was a absolutely sweetheart.
Spread the news that we have lost again a Sister, and her baby because of domestic violence.
Any kind of violence is absolutely not acceptable. No matter what your problem is in the role of a perpetrator or a victim - don’t accept this - and look for help. We as the skateboarding community shoud be aware about this issue - the majority of us are man - and some of us struggle at least in some period of time/ phase of life with anger issues.
It’s up to us to make the change, stand up against any kind of violence.
Never forget Anna!

Patriarchy and toxic masculinity are an absolute plague to this earth and everyone on it - men included. Doing 'the work' as a man doesn't include just working on your own bullshit, but speaking up against any normalisation of domestic abuse, emotional or physical, and putting a stop to the act itself when it's safe to intervene.

Growing up as the only girl in one of the biggest skatehalls at the end of nowhere Aurich/ Ostfriesland
In the last years Skateboarding becomes more and more female. Which is good. But we shoud not forget
that even in the last 30 years many girls have skated - they just received not much attention / support from
Magazines and Industrie. Thrasher have changed for a better the last years speaking openly about depression and
drug and alcohol as an problem.
Now its time for domestic violence - We have lost one of us.

Fucking despicable. Breaks my heart when a woman has the strength to leave, only to be let down by the system and be left at the mercy of mentally unstable perpetrators. Why is a perpetrator of domestic violence treated as a sane, functioning human being that will stoically take the punishment and come out of it a changed person? Has this ever happened?
